Sorry RendeR, I couldn't resist to making a little laugh while I'm bored as heck at work.

Well, I'm outta here for the weekend folks. Check ya on the flip side if I"m still alive.

As far as the scan plan, since no one set anything up yet, I"m going to scan NTN, who has just 1 scan on him (he was the first name on my list of 1-scanners besides me).

So if someone sets that up, factor that in, I've put it in already.

I'm still baffled with the 100% certainty from Heinz. But that's okay, I think we can afford at least one more hiccup in this game.

Here's what Random.org gave me to divide us up amongst the 1 and 2 scan people (discounting Render):

jeheinz72: Pumpy
NTN: jh, Mike Vic
Pumpy: Chief, Mr. W
SnDvls: Barkeep, mau,

MikeV: olie
Mr.W:The Jackal
Olie: ntn
Jackal: SnDvls

So all the people with 1 scan, except JH who I figure is more trust worthy, got 2 scans, all the people with 2 scans got 1. If people want to concentrate on the 1 scan people let me know and I'll re-roll it.

I'm torn. I've got a very good idea who I want to scan and its not the person that you've given me although sndvls wouldn't be an awful scan for me at this juncture either. Decisions, decisions.

I'm 75% sure I'll scan him.

I'm fine with my scan...submitting it now.

If no one thinks much is going to change between now and deadline, I'm going to disappear for a while, not sure if I'll be back before deadline or not, I've had a crazy week and need some downtime...I'll be around for a few more minutes though...

And then, when such a fact was revealed (as you knew that after the close vote the other player would likely bite it the next day) you can present exactly the argument you're presenting now. There is NO risk for a wolf saying that two players up for lynching are both villagers cause they know it to be true.

But there is a TON of risk (see I can CAP, too) for bringing unwanted attention to yourself as a wolf so early in the game. You really must think I am the dumbest wolf of all time.

I will say that my vote cast on RendeR is 100% based on fact. I made no assumptions. No "theory" of mine led me to the conclusion. It's fact.

Was this based entirely on the numbers you posted just prior to your Render vote?

And if so (and if you're right), this means I am not the Class Clown, because I scanned Render as a wolf.

Don't know if anything has changed between now and the end of the day, but I have been leaning more and more toward this the past couple days, because he is too willing to ignore logic in coming after me, and I know I am a villager.

The fact he also has this "villager scan" trick to me sounds like it could be a sweet wolf mechanic.

Final vote count:

RendeR -- just about everybody
Someone else -- RendeR

There is no doubt in heinz's mind. RendeR. Given his role in the one success you've had so far, nobody has a mind to argue, except for RendeR, but even he seems strangely calm, as if he accepts his fate.

Chief Rum approaches with the rope, which is placed around RendeR's neck. Just then he laughs, and before anyone can react he yanks the rope from Chief Rum's hands, wraps the rope around Chief's neck, and pulls, causing Chief to fall and with a quick and sickening snap, Chief's head hits the ground, breaking his neck. The rest of you quickly grab the rope and finish the job on RendeR......who changes, rather predictably now, into a wolf, a particularly brutal one.

RENDER, A WOLF, HAS BEEN LYNCHED. HE HAS KILLED CHIEF RUM, THE CLASS CLOWN. NIGHT 5 IS UNDERWAY, DEADLINE FOR NIGHT ACTIONS IS 9PM EST SATURDAY.

Oh, snap. That hurts big time. But it seems we've killed the alpha wolf, so that's good. Get that out of the way now, I guess.

I am still wondering how on earth Heinz figured that one out. Who's next on the list then, I wonder. And am I going to scan sndvls or not. Ugh. I'll submit my scan when i get home.

And YAY! to Heinz, awesome job in whatever analysis you have done.

So my question is were the wolves lucky there or good there?

One of the bad things for us is that CR gives us only one name to put into our COT: ntn.

Still with most likely one wolf left, two people who I can really trust (ntn and JH), and the teacher's pet still out there, I have to feel like we're in pretty decent shape.

Well, now that the class clown is dead, so maybe we can focus on figuring out who the teacher's pet is. Of course, if we figure it out and actually name them, the wolves will certainly take him down. So I'm not sure what the next step is.

Am I still scanning heinz?

If the wolves take him down, hopefully we'll gain a bigger CoT. There aren't a ton of players left and even fewer who have been accurate enough to possibly be the Teacher's Pet. It's got to be a real balancing act for the wolves: Kill the teacher's pet now and clear a few players or wait with the risk that even more could be cleared later. For reasons I'll talk about more after the night cycle (assuming I live that long) I think that the wolves might have known that CR was the class clown yesterday.

It really sucks when I have a major role and don't even know it until, oh, an hour before I die.

Good luck, villagers. Not one of my better games.

If Chief Rum had scanned ntn as a wolf, then we know he's a villager.

As Mr. W said he got added because Chief had scanned him as a wolf. Since we know Chief to have been the class clown ntn must be a villager.

That's fine if he gets added into the circle of trust.. but I thought fools scanned everyone a wolf or everyone a student so you can't just say the opposite of what they scanned.

Obviously Chief hasn't scanned everyone a wolf(Has he?), so that isn't the case in this game where its all one thing.

I couldn't find the list of what everyone has scanned so far, so help me out if you can.

No, and it's stated explicitly in the rules. The Class Clown has a 0% accuracy rate, which means that every scan he had came back the opposite of what the player really was.

Okay, his scan on n0 was Lathum, he scanned him as student and he's the fool. so this tells us that n0 was indeed pointless.

What is night 0 was kinda like an opposite result? So whatever we should have gotten, it's the opposite? I don't know. I hope path clears up what night 0 meant once the game is finished. That aspect of this game is frustrating me.

OK, I'm really confused about why Chief Rum would scan Lathum as villager on n0. We now know that CR was the class clown. CR didn't know that he was the class clown at the time, so it's not like he scanned Lathum as wolf, knew he was wrong, and told us that he was really a villager.

I don't get it at all. I guess now we just need to go back and see what CR's other scans were, and then we have some good information on people, assuming that CR was telling us what his actual scans were. If CR lied about his scans at any point, we're in trouble.
