Mod on Mod crime is so sad to see.

I wonder who the valiant enforcer of FOFC's Hays Code is?

Whoever it is, he must take great pride in his efforts and take his job terribly seriously. I salute you, sir!

So... instead of avoid this thread while at work people need mods to remove pictures for them? Wow.

I don't know what is harder to understand... why the mods choose to remove some of the pictures or why after 18,000 posts some of you guys are still suprised by this.

Well, on the "why they are removed," the rules haven't changed in over 8 years:

Front Office Football Central - View Single Post - Help For New Users Who Can't Post, and General Posting Guidelines

No idea why people are surprised by this. The rule hasn't changed in 8 years, and it's not up for debate or discussion.

Jesus, Ben, all this time and you still don't get it.

It's NEVER been about what the rule is, it's always been about how the rule is selectively and inconsistently applied.

FFS, really?

Dola,

Parents will understand this immediately, but if you punish your child for doing something wrong only about half the time, you are making the problem worse, not better.

I do get it. And I have said repeatedly that the rule will always be inconsistently applied. I'm sure I've said it in this thread. I don't have the time to read this thread and police everything. I have no idea why that is so difficult for people to understand. Just don't post anything remotely prurient, and you won't have any problems.

I don't understand what was so objectionable about the pictures, unless they were linked to some other site. I've seen pictures 100X worse in this thread.

I get something being removed if a nipple is showing or something like it, but pics of fully clothed women being removed? If a coworker catches you looking at a chick in a bikini while you are at work, it is your own damn fault.

I disagree.

I take an hour for lunch at work everyday. I am permitted to go to most sites from my work laptop. I usually go into the small lunchroom at work and eat so people won't bother me at my desk and bring my laptop. Ishould be able to look at FOFC and not have to worry about the lady from HR seeing a potentially offensive picture while she microwaves her lunch.

I get both sides of the argument.

Lathum, why can't you just avoid this thread since you know pics like that will be in here?

People posting the pics, why can't you be respectful and not post those pics?

Read the policy I linked to. I addressed this issue nearly a decade. And arguing the other side is a waste of your time. I cannot be swayed on this one.

Ya, I'm kind of like you but I don't get any sides of the argument.

Why is it so important to go into this thread at work? Why is it so important to be able to post photos of half-nekked chicks in here? Why do people get so upset when their photos are taken down? Who are the people reporting these photos and what is their motive? Why isn't every single post reviewed for content when there's like 20 mods?

FWIW I do avoid this thread while at work for that specific reason.

That being said, and I have said it before, I don't see what is "cool" about pictures of half naked girls that you can find anywhere online. I guess if you are an adolescent boy who just had his first wet dream it is cool, otherwise they get tiresome

I read it. I think it's an asinine lack of common sense on the employee to be looking at such a thread even during downtime.

I do wonder too what has cost us more posters here - this policy and the hard feelings and bannings it creates, or people who have been caught at work looking at this thread and aren't able to post here anymore because they were fired or had the work internet privileges removed. It has to be the former, right?

That...is frightening.

Quick! Someone post a picture of Kathy Griffin to wash that image out of my mind.

So all the years we had the HoN threads and this thread, that still exist, but all of a sudden the morality police have come calling in the images thread and suddenly even the Kohls Sunday ad becomes instantly removable. This is the problem.
