Me too. Vote Chubby I'll be out for the rest of the afternoon, beginning in like 45 minutes, and I am not sure what my evening will look like, so I am sticking a vote out. What are our plans for the weekend? Are we playing through or what? |

BTW, if anyone wants to know what I was doing, I tried to spy on Fouts last night. It was a good plan, I waited for him to go to sleep and set up shop outside his room. If all went as planned I'd be waiting in hiding as Fouts went to do, whatever it is that Fouts does to make him exhausted. An hour passed....and then two, and then something happened....I became REALLY freakin tired. The rest of the night consisted of my concocting plan after plan to keep myself awake, all the while Fouts slept off his exhaustion in his room.

Dubb announces that in the night the following people should come and get phasers before going to bed RA, Swaggs, KingFC, SNDVLS, and that he will be keeping one for himself.
Meanwhile Sndvls, Fouts, and Swaggs set off to explore the Wig and see what can be found. |

Taking a phaser was not an option on this particular away mission. Am sort of busy at the moment so, I apologize, but the writeup is going to have to wait.

The crew from the Wig Mission come back, pleased, and a little tired. Using datadisks retrieved from the exploration, the crew gathers around a computer as you begin to play them. There is a lot of boring information and some of the crew drift in and out as the more stalwart crew reads over the information contained with-in.
And the information contained with-in is quite fascinating indeed. The Wig crew had learned that there was a central mind, what they called the Spawn Overlord, which seemed to be controlling the Spawn on the planet. This Overlord was quite in tune with the planet and had several powers. These powers included the ability to change the atmosphere, which nearly destroyed the small ship when it had tried to lift off through it, the ability to change the very conditions of the earth to make finding Crystilium harder. It even had the ability to alter crew member’s minds causing them to be unable to act at all or to act in certain ways. With each discovery of the Overlord’s powers the crew becomes more and more desperate and fearful. The crew also learns that the Overlord’s power seems to wane after it uses a particularly impressive feat of skill, but then builds back up as time goes on. Finally, the crew is able to track down the area where they think the Overlord resides. But before they are able to act on this, the Overlord launches a huge attack, which from the description sounds similar to the one you faced on Day 2. This kills nearly the entire crew, from what can be told, except a couple of crew members who holed themselves up in the Science Lab. When the playing is over, the crew realizes that if they wanted they could take an armed away team of 5 people, as larger groups seem to alert the Overlord, and try and defeat the Overlord. From what the members of the Wig wrote if the Overlord is defeated it would cripple the Spawn, preventing them from using most of their powers. Of course it is entirely possible that the mission could fail and that crew members could be wounded or killed in the attempt. Last edited by Barkeep49 : 07-14-2006 at 11:46 AM. |

So, what I take from this is:
1. Even if we want to liftoff there is a good chance that either: a) We won't be able to or b) We will be able to, but will sustain damage in the process 2. If we do liftoff, we will be attacked again, only this time we will be in the air, with little or no water and no ability to stockpile any additional water.

We can't liftoff until we defeat this thing.

This ship is much heartier then the Wig and would be able to lift off successfully even if the atmosphere was hostile. Now whether the Overlord has the power or intention to make the atmosophere hostile and what kind of damage the ship might take, is a whole different matter.
The crew has much to debate about whether they wish Sndvls to plan an Attack Away mission, the only way an away mission could be sent against the Overlord. Players on this mission would be automatically armed with phasers unless they already had one, as is the case with Alan, or were specifically denied the right to have one. I think I should be involved with the attack. I am a security crewman and know how the handle a phaser. Even though I am exhausted I think that I would stand a good chance of killing the Overlord.

of the exhaused
the following people could have faked their duties last night. AlanT - guarded path and path was not attacked and fixed the water machine Dubb - says watched sleeping quarters, bullet was killed there. was awake the whole time and doesn't mention seeing king King - says spied on dubb, no mention from dubb on it. would have put him in or near the sleeping quarters too. I tend to believe both Alan & dubb, I could by king's story, but I'm very suspicious of him |

Oh great.
Well at least I pretty much now know wht happened with the new information with the Spawn Overlord's abilities... The Spawn Overlord caused bullet to think he hadn't cured me when he in fact did. (one of the abilties on the data disks recovered from the wig). This, obviously, rasies suspicion onto me. He gets a spawn to kill bullet, trying to doom me. He kills the doc and gets everyone to lynch another survivor. Fuck |

Vote dubb
I'd love to do know what dubb was supposed to be doing "guarding" the barracks. Me thinks he was simply faking to guard them or faking to watch someone. Spawn all the way. |

A war council, of sorts, has assembled. What to do about the Overlord being the obvious question. Sndvls goes to his area and plots out a clear line of attack. Now the question becomes if the crew should carry it out, and if so who should do it.
