I think linking up as we head into the second level is a good idea. So we should arrange to meet in a square where we head to the second level. I would also prefer to keep it at two unless we discover we need more later. |

Something's off there. Every other room's a start room based off my experience.

His map actually matches up perfectly to mine. I wonder if the corner throws off that pattern Poli.

NM Poli, thought you were referring to Danny's map. You must be referring to something else.

No, I'm referring to his map. Everything I've found thus far points to having a starting room two rooms apart.
In fact, since moving left from mine, it's been exactly that. Room, starting room, room, starting room.

I'm ready to give up on the moving left stuff, though. Outside of IDing things for people, I don't see how I can possibly compete in this game.

PB, I just got your belt. It is definitely of Qwith origin. You can tell that by the vivid red of the thread used in the embroidery. The dye comes from a berry that is native to Qwith lands. The belt itself was frequently given to the sons of noble Qwith Lords after their first combat about the time of the second Trow war.
It is magic, and it gives a small boost to the armor rating of the wearer. It is commonly called a Belt of Protection, and generally trades for about 300 gold. |

After a second glance, the leather is in exceptional condition for its age. You could probably get another 50 gold because of this.

What about the two previous moves? You listed your choices and the next room, but not which choice you made out of the directions.

Poli, with your +15% experience we just need to get you some actual kills and you should level up fast. If you run into that wolf room, it respawns every time you enter it.

Unfortunately, I've now ran into three straight rooms that are useless. I'm heading "north" after this one and seeing what's up with the bad guys.

You must have gotten that info by your lonesome, because I didn't get that info. I did get the play by play on your fight with the ninja, though. Way to go, ntn! I wonder if there is some sort of scroll or magic tool we can use to try to open this chest. Perhaps someone can help us there. Just on the bye, ntn, I am not sure you are aware, but I searched the altar in our last room and got me some magic bracers. I didn't know you had Detect Evil--it might be useful if you could cast it there to see if the bracers glow evil (i.e. cursed). But, then, I suppose I can also just have one of the bards ID it. First come, first serve, I guess. If I give it to a Bard, I would like to trade it and the 10 GP over before this day is out (we're approaching the Afternoon action), so I can get the bracers back before our next movement phase.

Oh, yeah, BTW, ntn, since you're not at your top health, and I have not cast a spell today, I can get you to top health with a Cure Moderate Wounds. Actually, Cure Light Wounds is probably enough.

Thanks, Abe! Of course, Infravision wouldn't have been chosen by me or ntndeacon even if it was the most powerful spell, considering we're Dvergrs with natural infravision. But good to know. Dispel Evil could be a useful spell. BTW, does Dispel Evil also life some curses from items, or evil magic traps?

Sorry, at my parents so my online time is limited. I wemt forward (left in the above pic) to a room with leprechauns. They were respawning little beasties that were hard to hit and cast magic missles at you. When I entered the 4-horned beast room, KWhit had enterred from the other side of the room. So you should be able to combine his info to the above map. When I went into the room to the left of the 4-horned beast room (in the above map), I heard KWhit in some kind of battle and then was teleported to the rabid cave weasel room, which seems to be pretty far from where I was.
Now I have to go back through this thread a bit to figure out where I should go from here. |

Too bad you're not here with us, Danny. I have a feeling if anyone in this game could bash this chest, it's the trowness that is you.

Poli you can keep my sword if you are able to use it and are going to equip it. Of course I would want you to return the favor should you come across something that would be of use for me. Let me know.

There's a boardgame, Dungeonquest, that's somewhat similar. You build the dungeon as you go, random things happen with each space, and the objective is to get as much treasure as you can and get out of the dungeon before the sun sets. For PC's there's my old favorite Angband and its multitude of variants. Its a very basic graphics game, but every game is completely random so still playing even after all these years. Has a Tolkien like theme depending on the variant you play, and has a town(s)/wilderness you can interact with, quests, and again depending on the variant one ore more randoimly generated dungeons. You play an adventurer with numerous choices for class and race with the objective (for most variants) to get to the bottom of the main dungeon and defeat the biggest baddie. |

My guess is that if a 1st level character tries to go into the 2nd circle, they get teleported somewhere else instead. |
