EF has not been around. He said he would be out most of the afternoon.

I stand behind what I have already said regarding EF. Not much has gone on today, so it can't be that far back.

Given that the courts have indicated a strong belief that the bill that has been offered by myself and McCollins will be overturned, I must reluctantly ask to withdraw it from consideration.

I have submitted a revised version to the court for review, but I have run out of time to get a response. Hopefully, if the revised text is found to be acceptable, it can be offered with enough time to gain a quorum.

New and improved and reviewed by oliegirl, the Democratic Party brings you...

Congressional Electoral Oversight Bill -- Parte Deux

CONGRESSIONAL SPONSORSHIP: Mccollins and Chesapeake

WHEREAS, allegations of tampering in prior elections have undermined the democratic process.

BE IT RESOLVED:

Additional oversight shall be provided to enable elections to proceed with full accountability.

If a congressperson uses his power to impact a fellow congressperson's election (positively or negatively), there is a 50% chance that a staffer will squeal and it will become immediately known to the rest of the Congress who attempted to affect the campaign.

The media will not be alerted (so there will be no popularity impact from the action).

In addition, if a Congressperson uses his power to infuence his or her OWN election, this will not be made public to the Congress.

OFFICIAL BULLETIN:

Please vote on CEO2 even if your vote from original CEO is not changing. You do not need to "unvote" original CEO, that bill has been thrown away.

Thanks!

My alternative candidate is mccollins mostly based on his vote for tyrith late yesterday with less than 10 minutes to go The vote was 6-4 at that time in favor of Mrs. Schmidty and it could've been a late ditch effort to force a tie. However, reading the comments near the deadline adds to my confidence in the EagleFan vote when he says this one might turn out badly.

I was hoping to hear from EagleFan but to no avail. I'm out pretty soon so:

VOTE LYNCH EAGLEFAN

I don't think there are any other bills, right?

IIRC, it was actually 7-4, and mccollins's vote made it 7-5.

I am back from golf.

I am having tremendous problems connecting to this site at the moment, although I managed to get in here. Sometimes I can do what I want, other times it just automatically kicks me to the ole Internet Explorer cannot find.

One particular area of concern is that I cannot Send PMs right now for some reason.

Frankly, I'm a bit pissed off at whatever is causing this, because I cannot run the deadline without access to all of the normal functions at FOFC, not to mention just the frustration factor.

So be prepared for delays at the deadline. The deadline itself will not change. But my processing of it might come later. My apologies for any delays.

I would expand on my hatred for whatever is causing this, but I don't have a clue what's causing it, so that will have to wait.

It struck me at the time that there was one person more than any other that seemed to be pushing the vote away from MrsS. Now this stuck out to me before I even knew that MrsS was a wolf. That person is Eaglefan and he will be getting my vote today.

As I read back through, it's not quite as blatant as I remembered it being, so I could be wrong about him. But he kept on suggesting that the Repubs were luring us into a false sense of security by splitting their vote and would all switch to one of the Dems at the end (he's not the only one that thought that, BTW). So he thought we should pool our votes onto a Republican.

However, he kept suggesting other Repubs and not MrsS (who would have been the obvious choice since she was slightly leading in votes at the time). If it was really a case of "let's make sure the Repubs don't trick us," MrsS would have been the obvious choice to vote for.

In addition, he was already on my radar for coming after me really strongly yesterday morning - accusing me of a number of things without any cause to do so including lying about who I slurried/supported. It struck me as a wolf trying to discredit me with no real evidence to do so.

Like I said, I could be wrong, but it's the best I can offer today. I'm away for a bit but will be back to discuss around 2-2:30 eastern time.

Vote Censure Eaglefan

Trying to catch up.

I suggested that there was no reason mentioned for the vote on Mrs S and that the split Republican vote struck me odd. Many people in the Democratic party mentioned another candidate as a higher priority target candidate and said that they couldn't vote that way because they were afraid of a late change by the republican voters (which makes no sense as it would have been a vote on one republican ior another at that point). I was lobbying for the other candidate because their logic made no sense. If they think person A is a wolf but none were sure of Mrs S, why go with Mrs S instead of person A? In hind sight it turned out the best but the logic made no sense at that time.

Tyrith - Don't feel any pressing need to respond right away. I'm heading to bed but I will check in in the morning so I would like to see a response as well as an answer to my question of why you were voting for Mrs Schmidty tho at this point it's easy to taint your answer knowing she was a wolf.

Felt that any bill would be weak compared to a potentially powerful rider that could be attached.

strong bill with a rider = acceptable
weak bill with a rider = unacceptable

Instead of coming up with something wolf related, this is what we come up with? Any room for a new Republican? I would do the research to see who really was behind this but I am tired from being out all day and have other things going on at the moment.

vote no CEO2

I have no clue at this point but at least it's someone other than me. Actually I do: Watch out for chesapeake. Chesapeake seemed to jump on every move which I make which has so far turned out wrong which seems like he was using me as a cushion if things were wrong.

vote lynch jeheinz

FYI...don't wait around at deadline waiting for the actual results. My apologies in advance. It took me two hours just to get through my PMs and post my last message. I have just spent the past 30 mins trying to get back into this Web site.

Sorry, just not going to crap away a Friday night fighting with the Internet. Since we have a whole weekend, I am not too concerned about timing, and I hope you all aren't either. Expect results at some tonight, maybe late tonight.

But I didn't want to keep anyone around waiting on them. As I said before, deadline is still at 9 p.m. EST/6 p.m. PDT.

Sorry for the issues (and wish I had a better explanation, because I haven't got a clue WTF is going on). That's right the Supreme Court just cussed. Deal with it.

Nope, Tyrith was. I fully explained my vote on you and that it was meant to only get some talk going. Unfortunately most the Republicans party has been about as active as a 100 year old in a coma so that didn't happen.

I would quote the posts here if you like but don't really have the time, or desire to at this point.

Most quotes were "I want to vote for Tyrith but and afraid the Republicans will change their votes so we'll vote for Mrs S, though I don't know why."

Of course now they are using hind sight to act like this was some amazing logic and brilliance when it was random freaking luck.

You weren't the number one, Tyrith was (hence my switch). I may shoot you some support, my party doesn't seem to warrant it at this point.

You are usually more talkative when you are a wolf, at least in my opinion anyway but then again I haven't seen enough of you as a villager so I can;t stand fast by that statement. Hell, I was a wolf for the last 5 games I played so I wasn't really trying to judge people's play as much as influence it during that stretch.

I'm not ready to go the EF route, as I've been hesitant all day because his play hasn't struck me as different than normal villager at all. I am between Henry and mccollins.

EF, I don't think Tyrith is wolf either based on his Republican chatter either so I don't like that push from your party either.
