Oh Browns, oh Browns how the AFC North loves you.

It's funny reading you guys try to "out-pessimiss" each other.

Looks like Butter "wins" today (sorry Butter)

Yeesh. That last review of the Jets fumble was terrible. No way that was a fumble.

I wasn't being pessimistic, I honestly thought they would score again. They DID score again. They got a FG to putn them up 17-16 in the fourth quarter. What I didn't expect was Denver to launch two long scoring drives. Cincy refused to blitz, then when they finally did it was picked up and Trevor made them pay with a long one.

Then it got ugly. Once this team KNOWS you have to pass? You are in trouble.

3-0 start. This was a big win.

That's great stuff.

Andrew Luck went from an intelligent college quarterback to a dumb NFL quarterback. His decision making at times is just awful. Colts should be winning this game 20-0. A Luck has kept San Diego in the game.

Nice play there by Wentz and Sproles. Sproles turned number 28 around about 3 times on that.

Completely unprepared and undisciplined play by Pit today. Injuries piling up, ugh. Love seeing Wentz continue to play with confidence though. Go Bison!

This Wentz is something special. Well done Eagles!

Sorry about my Luck rant. I had Colts -1/2 first half and he completely blew it. Up 7 and the ball deep in Chargers territory and he fumbles it for a game tying touchdown. Prior to that gifting the Chargers 3 points because of an interception. Just pissed off at him right now.

Say you hit the lottery. Seriously. Either your scouting department knew which QB they were getting before the trade and nailed this or the Browns/Rams scouting departments dropped the ball. (or both) It doesn't matter if you lucked into it or how you got him, you have a brilliant player. Just amazing, amazing stuff.

I was expecting a 20+ point loss today for the 49ers and this is still infuriating.

When Fitzpatrick is bad he's absolutely historically awful. He just threw the ball straight to the other team four times before one was finally picked, his fourth of the day

I think Luck will turn out alright.

Btw, did anyone else not know that the punting team can't down the ball when there's zero seconds on the clock?

No, and I'd like to hear the rationale for that being the rule.

Dumb challenge by the Cowboys. Gonna lose a half a yard and if he had gotten any advice at all it was obvious he wasnt in.

I guess any time a team downs a punt it's consider a foul? And because it occurred as clock expired then the Chargers got a free down.

Which kind of raises another point. I thought games only got extended on defensive penalties. Isn't the punting team considered the offense? The Chargers never touched the ball so there was never really a ball turnover.

I don't know. Someone call Mike Pereira.

That is really, really bizarre. What is the point of a foul that isn't penalized in any way? Ping Sak

Hopefully the Bears draft high enough to get a QB and the McCaskey's allow an actual rebuild. You can't change directions in the front office and coaching staff as much as the Bears have and expect anything more than what you have now.

I wondered about the illegal touch as well. Here's something I found:
Quote:
If the kicking team merely touches the ball, without taking possession, it's still a live ball, but it is considered an illegal touch. The receiving team in that case can either attempt to return the kick or take the ball at the spot of the illegal touch.

Guess the punting team has to actually grasp the ball in order for it to be considered a possession.

Man, I thought the Eagles would be a dumpster fire, but right now they look like the best team in the NFC along with Minnesota. Two really great defensive minds at work there.

Other than them and New England I don't think anyone is really separating themselves yet. Denver is on the verge of being better than they were last year, and I have no idea who to pick over who in a given week. It's been a strange start this year.

It wasn't. Horrible call. Not that I think it would have mattered, but that was the Bears one shot to get back in this game and it was crushed with that call.

John Elway throwing shade at some rando who respectfully disagreed with him back in 2015 is my favorite part of Week 3.

John Elway trolled a Twitter user who @ed him in May 2015 - Denverite

Russell Wilson has a sprained MCL, expected to play this week though. Manti Te'o not so lucky, torn Achilles, out for season. Giants RB Shane Vereen also out for season after a torn triceps.

Miami TE Jordan Cameron out with a concussion. Arian Foster not likely to play Thurs either.

Personal favorite (yeah right) De'Angelo Hall also out for year with a torn ACL. Seattle really missing Marshawn Lynch as Thomas Rawls will miss a few weeks with fibula fracture.

Chris Ivory having a horrible season for Jags. First the mysterious injury that required him to stay in the hospital, and in first game back sprained knee and ankle, but played through it.

If I'm Pete Carroll, I put him on the shelf this week and take my chances. Seattle sits at 2-1 and is playing on the road at the Jets this week--an out of conference game that won't factor into any tiebreakers--followed by a bye in week 5. If Arizona was 3-0, I might think differently, but they aren't. This seems like a golden opportunity to give Russell 3 weeks to heal so you have the best chance of having your key offensive player at full strength for the rest of the season.

I don't disagree with you. However this is Russell Wilson "played every down" we are talking about. He's not going to want to sit that long if he's healthy enough to be out there. It will be interesting to see who wins.
