ah well it was a nice pipe dream while it lasted. Giants you suck. Now I'm not sure who to root for in the Dallas/Philly game as that will fix the Cards first playoff opponent.

This was posted on the footballguys.com fantasy board that I read:

Quote:
Last week the Colts pulled their starters against the Jets saying the care more about the health of their players than winning the game and going 16-0 or 19-0.

But how do you explain this week when they play at Buffalo on a snow field they decide to play Manning, Wayne and Clark for the first 16 minutes so Clark can get 7 catches for 100 for the season and Wayne can get 5 catches for 100 for the season. They basically only threw to them. Most of the passes were dinks.

Basically, the Colts organization decided that MEANINGLESS personal stats are more important than playing to win the game (and the game was in front of their home fans).

I didn't even think he was active for the game cause he's been inactive for all the other Dolphins game since he got traded. I wasn't so excited by the two INT's at the end which were pretty bad. But still, he showed he is capable of leading a team down the field, and I hope he still has a future somewhere in the NFL.

It's taken less than half a game for me to wonder how Oakland fans put up with this shit every year.

Yep. Check out the second deck. There ARE people there, but the shocking thing is that some of them are several rows back from the overhang and apparently have no desire to come down.

They figured they were safer up there from the possibilities of one of the QB's hitting them in the head on a throw.

At least Carolina did the usual and finished the season off strong, Jstew looks really really good, that is an amazing backfield. I'm not sure there is a better one two punch in the NFL as far as RB's go.

The Broncos are unraveling. Isn't this the second year in a row they've crumbled late in the season? Two different coaches, two different QB's, same result. What is their biggest weakness?

DeAngelo Williams - 5.2 ypc 1117 yards rushing 7 tds 29 catches 252 yards receiving.

Jonathon Stewart - 4.9 ypc 1008 yards rushing 9 tds 18 catches 139 yards receiving.

Although Chris Johnson has more receiving yards then them, and almost as much Rushing yards, and I would love to have him on my team. I think the RB by committee thing might really save your running backs legs, and extend their shelf life in the NFL. we'll see I guess.

edit: oops got JStew's rushing yards wrong, that didn't include todays stats. he has 1133 yards rushing and led the team!

here is a stat for ya! They became the first team mates since the AFL NFL merger to each rush for more then 1100 yards in a season. crazy.

Kyle Orton is their QB, Josh McDaniels is a terrible play caller, their D has not been that good since that 6-0 start, Marshall is a nutjob, etc.

Since Drew Brees didn't play he set the NFL record for Completion % in a season, breaking Ken Anderson's record of 70.55% Brees had 70.6%.

I really think they should let McCoy be the feature back. With Westbrook back they have once again gone away from the running game.

Another note on Philly not playing McCOy, teams really do take too long to make the move from an older back to a younger one. Teams like the Browns and Chiefs would have been much better served by making the switch to Charles and Harrison long before they did.

He woulda been 50 or so short, which is something he can get on any given run. Still, glad to see him get 2000.

Now Tennessee gets to reward him with a new deal, as he is set to make 500K next year.

I feel sorry for this Brandon Carr CB for the Chiefs. His coverage has actually been pretty solid, but the Broncos keep making great plays and are continuing to make him look bad.

EDIT: Horrific grammar, couldn't take it

So do I have this right? We could potentially see three different playoff games next week with the same two teams facing off as this week? Packers/Cardinals, Cowboys/Eagles, and Bengals/Jets? Weird.
