Nope. The Giants have the tie breaker over the Cowboys so they only need to tie for the G-Men to get into the playoffs. Giants play the Redskins on MNF. If they win, they'll still only be 1 game behind Dallas with 2 games to play. If they lose, they'll be 2 back with 2 to play, and still technically alive.

And with the Dallas win, the Falcons are officially eliminated from playoff contention. {cue "Playoffs? We talking about playoffs?"}

Just calling it in advance.

I just don't understand the hate of Romo. I know he seems to be a deer in headlights sometimes and people keep waiting for him to step up and win that big game. I get that but the guy is a really good QB. He's put up ratings 90+ constantly. He just lacks those big wins and I know that's what defines a QB. Maybe that will change after last night.

Doubt it.

The Cowboys success is defined by playoff wins and superbowls. Until he finds a way to get those he will always be a failure in many peoples eyes, despite how good the numbers he puts up are.

Yeah, I hate to say it, but I pretty much zoned out my hopes for this season about 5-6 weeks ago. Then all of the injuries just sealed the door shut,.

No defense, a fragile offense, placekicking disaster area ... playoffs?
We talking 'bout playoffs?

Shit, these are the Falcons we're talking about. You know, the franchise that's never had back to back winning seasons (although there's still a shot at breaking that streak at least). The playoffs were probably a pipe dream with or without the injuries.

Well the defense was crappy last season too, but they managed to make the playoffs with it. I foolishly had hope they could sneak in again with a horrible defense once again. Ryan regressed though, and the team was not going to make it even before all of the injuries as I mentioned. Just once the entire offense got hurt to go along with a poor defense, we're barely better than Carolina now.

Ryan is an interesting guy to watch. I thought he was solid but overrated last year based on a great run game. This year the run game hasn't been as solid and they've opened it up more and it's hurting them. I really think next year will be a solid indicator of what he is. I won't say he's a bust, but I am not sure he'll ever be an elite QB but he will be a solid starter.

I wish they would start penalizing these guys that start begging the refs to throw a flag after the play is over. When the play is over, go back to the huddle, I don't want to see you crying to the refs for a flag.

Two awful turnovers, settling for field goals inside the red zone, the only reason the Titans are up 11 is that Miami keeps shooting themselves in the foot.

Vince Young is strange to watch, he makes a number of flat out awful throws but has two dead on perfect long range TD passes.

Josh Cribbs has 74 points in my fantasy league. That's about 40 more than Peyton Manning averages week-to-week

The one and only time I've ever been pulling for a Lions win. Not because I have anything against the Lions, or that I made any wagers, but I need the Cards to lose 2 out of their last 3 to give the Niners a shot at the division.

Holy crap. I'm so glad I'm not a Lions fan.

If my Cards lose to the Lions today, the 49ers deserve to win the division. Thankfully that doesn't look like that's going to happen. Niners drew a tough one today against Philly in the cold on the road.

Meh...the problem with the Niners is they play up to good teams and down to bad teams. Again if it weren't for a Brett Favre hail mary, and officiating against the Seahawks so bad that Singletary had to write a letter to the league, the 49ers would be in control of their own destiny. Nothing against the Cards, because they are great when they get hot, but I feel like they are the second best team in the West this year.

Of course since I've said that the Lions have had an 100 yard INT return and now a 60+ yard rushing TD to make it a 3 point game. Pathetic on the Cardinals part after having a 17-0 halftime lead.

Aside from Joshua Cribbs' crazy numbers today, Jerome Harrison just broke the Cleveland Browns single-game rushing record (29 carries for 240 yards and 2 TDs, right now). Used to be held by a guy named Jim Brown, maybe you've heard of him.

The science of fantasy prognostication, brought to you by ESPN. ESPN's take on James Harrison before his current otherworldly performance:

Spin: Harrison simply isn't going to be given a chance to perform on the Browns. He has had two really solid games this season, and both times has found himself a forgotten man when the next kickoff took place. Now Chris Jennings has shot past him, and a cushy matchup with the Chiefs likely will pass him by as well.

Cards are doing everything they can to let the Lions back into this game.

Additionally, if the Lions had attempted (and made) a field goal on the last drive instead of going for it on 4th down, they would be leading.

And Jerome Harrison will end up 10 yards short of the single-game rushing record with 286 yards, 3 TDs on 34 carries; 3rd all time behind Adrian Peterson (296) and Jamal Lewis (295).

Did SF not watch Frank Gore dominate last week when he actually got the ball? I can't believe they keep putting the game in Smith's hands. 3 turnovers already.
