As for Big Joe, he asked Getzlaf "You wanna shot at the title?" a la Mel Gibosn in Lethal Weapon. What's Getzy supposed to do?

I heard that Getzlaf asked Joe how his golf game is coming along.

I was gonna say the same thing. Now Big Joe can show Little Dany how to properly drive the ball towards the fairway. And they will have all summer to practice.

I hope we can get a lot of picks done this weekend with most everyone that will be away from their computers leaving lists with other players.

Of course, I am trying to demonize him just a little. I think his association with Corey Perry doesn't help. The lines get blurred. He really is a force out there. He was terrifying whenever he was out there in playoffs last year.

I am hoping the pace gets picked up a little. Almost an entire day now and we only have 7 picks done.

We should draft for him. I'm sure he'll either want Kirk Maltby or his BFF Phil Kessel.

I think MapleLeafs wants Kessel...

Edit: hmmm, he isn't in the league. I guess Kessel is up for grabs then.

Oh man, three Red Wings fans get to pick six times before it comes back to me. I'll never be able to get a Red Wing now.

A little after lunch time on a Friday afternoon... He's probably in a Taco Bell induced coma at the moment.

Is Dr. Sak picking for SR? There was talk of some sort of unholy alliance and I know SR is out for the weekend and I thought he didn't have access from work.

It wasn't that. You see Cory Clouston came in and changed his role in the relationship, so he was the bottom. He got pissed and ran into your waiting arms.

True. He does not take kindly to criticism. So, be careful with all of the Mike Richards comparisons. In fact, it's probably best you don't mention that name at all.

Hey, Sami, can you embed this in post #1, too? Might be useful.
[Well, the link to Yahoo, anyway -- probably not the link to the first post.]
Thanks!
