Kyle Orton threw a TD pass. It probably deserves its own thread, but I figured I'd post it here anyway.

Yup. Good play by the Falcons d right there, stripping the ball from Thigpen on 3rd and 3 inside the red zone. KC recovered.

Cassell fumbles near midfield and Patriot fans are starting to wonder how long until the Red Sox game.

KC misses the FG, and comes up empty after a good drive.

So much for Brady being just a system QB........ But seriously Pats fans really can't blame Cassel for this it is mostly on the getting old defense.

Cassel didn't really look good either. In fact the only Pats players that i felt looked good at times this game was Welker, Hobbes and Sammy Morris.

Cassel throws another interception which is nullified by a roughing the passer penalty.

Kind of makes up for the questionable penalty at the start of the game where they called Cassel down when he had already escaped by the time of the whistle

comedy of errors in the carolina/minnesota game.

Minnesota has a 3rd and 1 on the Carolina 2. They run for the first(barely), but Minnesota is called for a hold.

On 3rd and 11 form the Carolina 12, a screen pass to Chester Taylor goes for a TD, but Minnesota is called for another hold.

On 3rd and 21 from the Carolina 22, Minnesota doesn't get the first down, but Carolina is called for illegal contact. 1st and 10 Minnesota.

Carolina stops Minnesota on 3 straight plays, MIN lines up for a FG, someone(not sure who yet) calls one of those 'right before the snap' timeouts. Carolina blocks the FG, but wait, they called a timeout apparently right before the snap. MIN gets another shot at the FG.

After all that, Minnesota goes up 20-10 on a 32 yard FG.

Someday they'll change that rule so if a receiver runs straight into a stationary defender, the receiver will get called. That is such B.S. Especially when they missed the PI on the deep throw to Steve Smith, where the defender cut him off and stopped. As a Pats fan who has watched that get blown on us more times than I can count (including costing us a playoff game in Denver), that no-call on an obvious penalty sucked.

If someone finds the Pats defense, can you please send them back to Foxboro? Thanks!

Yeah, that makes sense, Cassel did escape the tackle. Early whistle by the ref, saying "in the grasp".

The Falcons pins the Chiefs deep in their own zone and gets a 3 and out, then the stupid punt returner muffs the punt. They stop them again on three, but Thigpen makes a solid 4th down throw to keep the drive going. They are inside the Red Zone again.

With Buffalo losing currently to Oakland.. I think it is fair to ask the question.. exactly how bad is the AFC East this year?

Oh and O'Connell is in at QB for Cassel

Dola, it was sort of a BS call too since the other player was dragging him down by his jersey.

Competing with the NFC West. I wouldn't be surprised if O'Connell starts to see more and more action. The Pats hardly look like a 10 win team so might as well get the rookie some playing time while you can.

Down by 10 points, Carolina has managed to burn all three of their timeouts with 4:40 to go in the game.

I'm calling it now. John Fox is done.

My personal expectations for the Pats wins this season just went from 11 to about 6, and the latter might still be enough to win that division.

And to cap it off with time running down, Thigpen throws straight to Houston and he walks in for 6. 38-14 Falcons. May be the last game all year we can feel good, but I'll take it.

ugh, Giants D has shit the bed this game.

Thank god the Bengals clock managment was brutal there, otherwise its game over instaed of OT.

I hate the blitz call earlier in the drive that let the Bengals get a 20 yard completion.

Giants better get the ball to start OT.

oh, sorry, the tone was just frustration from watching the game No, he'll get the whole season, but I don't think this is a team that makes the playoffs without a lot of changes, despite the 2-1 record.

Loving Ronnie's amazing day; hating that I sat him cuz I almost started him. Him with 39 points and Fasano with 12 points and I would've pretty much been untouchable this week. Loving that blowout victory over the Pats too.

What a great way to get our first win on the year.

Is the Giants/Bengals game really not in HD or is the Chicago CBS channel just choosing to show the game in SD on the HD channel? I just want to watch the Steelers/Eagles and not any game in SD.
