Chris01,
Since it appears Detox is never going to play the games. Why don't we get our week 3 game in. When are you available this week?

Week 3
Titans at Bills Titans take an early 7-0 lead when Samari Rolle intercepts a Drew Bledsoe pass and returns it 55 yards on the opening drive of the game. The Bills get the ball back and are forced to punt. The Titans then drive 85 yards, and make it 14-0 on a 24 yard pass to Greg Comella. Both offenses struggle the rest of the half, and this one goes to the half 14-0 with Tennessee leading. The Bills shut down the Titans offense and pin them deep in their own territory. The Titans are forced to punt, but give the Bills great field position. A deep pass to Moulds gets the Bills down to the 2 yard line, and Drew Bledsoe runs a QB sneak to eventually make it 14-7. The Titans offensive struggles continued and the Bills get another TD, this time on a long bomb to Moulds to tie things up at 14. The Bills drive the length of the field and kick a FG to take a 17-14 lead with just 1:30 to go. The Titans get the ball back and cross the 50 with a minute remaining on the clock. They move it down to the 15, and Steve McNair rolls out of shotgun and seeing nothing but daylight runs it into the endzone to put the Titans ahead 21-17. The Bills get the kick, and move the ball down the field, but run out of time to end this one. Final Titans 21 Bills 17 |

Sorry Primelord I was a little later than I planned on being. I can guarantee I'll be free 10pm tomorrow. I know it's midnight for you so if it's inconvenient I understand. We can shoot for Wednesday if you'd like. Throw out a couple times that are good for you and we'll go from there. Thanks Prime.

I probably can't play late again until Thursday night. So Chris if you want to plan for somewhere between 8-10 PST on Thursday I think I can do that.
joegibbs, If you are available tonight in the evening say 7-9 CST I can probably do that otherwise it will have to wait until Thursday. Wednesday's are pretty bad for me.

I can't play during the day (work), but most nights I can play after 10 CST or so, especially if I know in advance. I'm playing Chuck127 tonight, so maybe Wednesday or Thursday night around 10:30? Or tonight are 11 CST? Last edited by Kodos : 02-11-2003 at 07:51 PM. |

Are Vince and RainRaven going to play their Week 2 game tonight? I know they've had some trouble with server problems and whatnot, and I'd like to let them play rather than put the forfeit rule into play.
I'm going to give DetoxRox's Chargers 2 forfeits for his first 2 games. He has made little to no effort to play his games (even before the concussion) versus me and primelord. If we can find a replacement owner, I'd be happy to let him play catchup and erase the forfeits from San Diego's record. Here are the results after the first 2 weeks of play: WEEK 1 BILLS 10 at CHIEFS 23 DOLPHINS 14 at REDSKINS 17 BRONCOS 20 at CHARGERS 0, forfeit PATRIOTS 20 at BEARS 17 JETS 38 at TITANS 27 COLTS 9 at SAINTS 31 WEEK 2 JETS 20 at CHARGERS 0, forfeit BEARS 24 at DOLPHINS 10 CHIEFS ?? at COLTS ?? SAINTS 45 at BILLS 7 TITANS 17 at BRONCOS 13 REDSKINS 35 at PATRIOTS 14 Last edited by Kodos : 02-11-2003 at 06:48 PM. |

man did raven (Titans) just grease me (Dolpins). The brutal 17-2 loss for the fins was not as disapointing as the 9 dropped passes.

Well, I'd love to play RainRaven too, and I'm home tonight, but only after 9 PST, unless we can get in a quick game now. It's been tough for us to get in contact with each other, so I don't think it's fair to give either of us a forfeit. I know I'm going to be able to play this week, so if you guys don't mind extending the deadline a little, I'm sure we'll get it in before this weekend.
PS - Anyone want to play now? I've got about an hour before I have to disappear...

Vince: As my note earlier said, I'm giving you guys some leeway. It's obvious you've tried to set up your game, whereas DetoxRox did not, and was given 2 forfeits accordingly. If you guys can get your game played this week, it will be fine. |

Chuck127: Bad news. I can't connect. It keeps giving me that "Madden Servers not responding" message. I'll try again later, but it didn't work any of the 4 times I tried, so I'm thinking it's not gonna work tonight. Sorry man.

24-14 does not begin to reflect the ass-kicking Chuck gave me last night. I got a couple scores late to make it look respectable, but this was an old fashioned butt whipping. An interception returned for a TD and a Rod Smith fumble set the tone for the night on which I could do nothing right. If only the server had kept on not responding... Chuck did his best not to run it up on me, and it was appreciated.

I am still around everyone... Especially Vince... We are supposed to play this week and I am sorry I have not been able to yet... I have been dealing with some crazy CPU issues/crashes etc... I think I am almost close to fixing them now so hopefully I will be up and running by Friday or this weekend... I will be updating to Windows XP in the next few days so I may not be readily available during the transition but don't worry I will be in touch with you about our game as soon as I can be ready to play...
BTW is DeTox ever gonna play his games ??? Has anyone contacted him??? |

BigDPW, no worries at all. I know what it's like to have computer issues, as I haven't been on my own computer since last summer. Anyhow...I should be home today until about 8:30 PST if anyone wants to get a game in.

Kodos and I just played our week 3 game between the Skins and Broncos. The score shows this game to be way more lopsided than it really was. 15 of my 29 points came off of 5 FGs. It was a very ugly game for both offenses with many drops for both of us, and when Kodos did get his guys to catch the ball they were out of bounds. A couple of turnovers and field position decided this one. Anyway, Good Game Kodos!!!! Better luck in week 6.

JoeGibbsJr. was being polite. This was the prototypical ass-kicking, which I have endured quite frequently lately. If I hadn't held him out of the end zone 3 out of his 5 red zone visits, it would have been even worse. I need to do some serious improving or this season may already be in the crapper for the Broncos. Joe was classy and did not run up the score, although he had plenty of opportunity to do so. Let's hope for a more interesting rematch later this season.
