Yep, I just watched the game this morning, and I can't understand why the Sheed went down to double up Ginobili who would have had a hard time even making a shot...

Horry was ALONE....

Heck, without the NASCAR comparison, I agree with you. The NBA isn't faaaaaaaantastic anymore.

Now, c'mon. It's not like Duncan doesn't already have rings on two fingers and was the most dominant player on each team.

Absolutely we can - what more can you ask for than a game 7 after two incredibly close games. The NBA haters will still find fault with it because its the NBA but if you're a sports fan how can you not like what's gone down in the past two games and a game 7 to decide it all.

I think people who want to like the NBA would've preferred some competition in the first four games of the series. The reason I haven't watched the last two games is because the first four were so incredibly lopsided. The logical part of me expected the rest of the series to be made up of blowouts. Another part of me just knew that the rest of the series would be competitive because the the league wants a six-game or seven-game series to generate more money. I still know that the NBA isn't fixed, but my grip on reality is slowly slipping away.

Seriously, Pumpy, get the fuck out of town if you think the NBA was like oh shit, 4 blowouts, let's make sure everyone hits their shots this game so we have 2 close ones next. Shut up, it's basketball. There are close games, there are blowouts. People get cold sometimes.

This is a good god damn series, I can't wait for tomorrow.

Go Pistons.

But if the Spurs lost that game, I'm pretty sure everyone wouldn't remember the previous 2 rings. They'd remember Duncan as the guy who couldn't nail 6 freethrows when the game and the championship was pretty much on the line.

Plus, they'll begin to chalk up the two rings to having David Robinson around helping out and that Duncan can't carry the Spurs to a title on his own.

Duncan has had that "deer in the headlights" look a number of times since Game 3. For whatever reason, he hasn't been able to pull it back together yet. The Spurs need a monster game from him tonight, but I'm not sure he will be able to provide that.

On the other hand, if Duncan puts up 30 and 15 in a Spurs win tonight, nobody remembers the missed free-throws.

My question is, if Duncan has another stinker, but the Spurs pull out the game anyway, who wins the series MVP? Ginobili?

If the game is close in the 4th, Pistons win. Spurs will have to blow them out in the 1st half to win.

San Antonio is a celebrity hotbed. ABC resorted to showing Kid Rock, who is rapidly descending into obscurity, and isn't even for San Antonio.

If the Pistons pull this off, Ben Wallace deserves the MVP. Hell of a game so far, and this thread title couldn't be more wrong.

I was looking hard trying to figure out if it was a bra or a blouse, it just looked very odd, nice but odd.

Edit: Spurs better not let this thing get too out of hand.

I'm loving this series, but it's funny how it is such a defensive struggle, that whenever a team strings together 2 or 3 baskets in a row, the other coach is compelled to call time out.

Duncan ought to start missing his FTs.

Despite that this game is low scoring as shit (53 ALL with 3 to play in the 3rd), couldn't ask for a more intense game 7.
