We were rated a B+ on the draft.

I hit camp and discover the following:

QB Zack Kirk is a baby bust, and not as good as expected.

P Ethan Griffith looks amazing. Years from now I am going to be happy that I spent that high pick on him.

None of my other rookies look to have any impact, now, or ever.

19,600 season tickets were sold.

In 2007 of my Seahawks franchise I drafted a punter with my sixth round pick named Harvey Aucoin that was rated 56/88. After the first season he was 68/88, and after the 2008 season he was 87/88. I believe his initial grade was somehwere around 8.5.

How high was your punter rated?

Here's Ethan:

Power - 74 of 86
Hang Time - 80 of 84
Directional Punting - 34 of 83
Kick Holding - 93

He had bars that wnet all the way to the right in every category. My scout rates him an 84 potential.

It was good to see Bennie Joppru scoring for the Texans - I went to high school with him in MN.

With the caveat that I have full X Factor enabled, he's a really good TE in my game - maybe top 5.

Positional Assessment:

QB - Jake Plummer isn't good when you look at him, but he does a good job statistically with the tools that we have. Zack Kirk, our supposed QB of the Future is a bit of a bust and he isn't as good as any of our other QBs.

RB - Travis Henry sort of blows up the theory that a back needs elusiveness to succeed. He has the lowest elusiveness of any of our backs. What Travis does have is a hammering north/south running style. Undrafted RB Britt Clark, in his third season, is our elusive back with a massive elusiveness stat. He's a nice change of pace back.

FB - Ross Williamson, one of my previous first rounders, is a great FBa nd should be around for a while. Whatever else happens, we have that FB problems taken care of.

TE - Chester Curtis is and will continue to be our super studly TE.

Receivers - David Boston's stats continue to decline despite steady skills. We will observe his progress this season carefully. Norman Ayi is a great SE. A definite stud.

C Barret Robbins - A solid C who thinks that he is worth more than he is. He's entering his 14th year in the league, and is just good, but he is demanding 5/mill per year to extend his contract. No center is worth that kind of money unless they are a future hall of famer.

G - LG Gabe Rogers will be another temporary starter in a long line of temporary starters. RG Casey Matthews remains one of our fixtures on the line.

T - Here is where our offensive line shines. L.J. Shelton and Derrick Dockery are mammoth tackles and among the best in the league.

P - Ethan Griffith is our good draft choice from last year, since our QB busted.

K - Roman Perkins - Inconsistent and may soon be replaced once I find a suitable starter.

DE - Marcellus Wiley's skills are beginning to decline but s is his cap hit. He will continue to start for us, but we'll need a new starter soon. Jamal Reynolds is great against the run and only decent in the rushing game.

DT - Jamal Williams is also beginning to decline but he will continue to start this year for us. An old second round pick of our, Bert Poston, will start at the other spot. Bert is adequate, but nothing special.

MLB - Terry Pierce is our highest rated defensive player and a definate future starter for us for a long time.

OLB - SLB Randall Snyder is another great linebacker. But the weakside backer, Matt Wilhelm, is merely acceptable.

CB - Left corner Andre Woolfolk is a good starter and a good replacement for our previous player, Quentin Jammer. Jamar Fletcher will start again for us at the right spot, but it continues to be a position of concern.

S - Strong Safety Kwamie Lassiter is also showing signs of age but will be our man in the secondary with experience. New free agency pickup FS Terrence Holt looks to be a perfectly decent player, but nothing to make me want to fill out our 2010 Depth Chart with his name three years in the future.

We go 2-1-1 in the preseason. We have the following injuries heading into the season:

Travis Henry, Kwamie Lassiter, Jake Plummer, and Chester Curtis are probable

OT Derrick Dockery is out for a few weeks.

RDT Bart Buck is out for a month or so.

Week 1 -

We host the season opener against the Chiefs but lose 13-27. Plummer tossed six picks so Bulger was put in to spot him and he tossed a TD to Reche Caldwell. We have no new injuries.

Marc Bulger will start next week. I want to see what he can do.

Week 2 -

We defeat the Falcons 20-13. Dez White catches a Bulger pass and Travis rushes for a score. Our defense picked off the Falcons three times. We again have no new injuries. Bulger was pick free, so I'll start him again.

Week 3 -

We swoop into Baltimore and take out the Ravens 28-13. Marc Bulger throws four TD passes and his first pick of the season. David Boston catches a pair of scores, and Norman Ayi and Dez White each add a TD. Our defense doesn't get a single sack for the second game this season.

Derrick Dockery is probable and will start in two weeks.

Week 4 - BYE

Week 5 -

We host the Dolphins and lose 30-24. Bulger tosses strikes to Ross Williamson, Norman Ayi and Reche Caldwell. Norman has 122 yards receiving as well.

Derrick Dockery is questionable for a week but he'll start.

Week 6 -

We host the Jets and lose 27-20. We are now 0-3 at home, 2-0 on the road. Bulger throws scores to Ayi and White. Two interceptions are returned for scores as Bulger has his first ugly day. Both David Boston and Norman Ayi had 100+ yard days.

RG Casey Matthews is out for a week or so.

Derrick Dockery is doubtful and I bench him.

Week 7 -

I decide that Plummer has learned his lesson and give him the starting nod back. We win our first homegame against the Broncos, 31-17. Travis Henry rushes for a score and Plummer tosses three TDs, two to Ayi and another to Boston. No picks. Excellent.

Casey matthews will be back next week. Britt Clark is out for the year. I toss him on IR and sign Bubba Whitfield to replace him. Bubba is a high elusiveness specialist and undrafted rookie.

We are 3-3 and need to pull it together to make a run for the playoffs.

Week 8 -

We head to Buffalo and cursh the Bills 30-3. Plummer tosses passes to Caldwell, White and Boston. We pick off the Bills four times and our defense notches 6 sacks, our most pressure this year so far.

RDE Jamal Reynolds in questionable for a few weeks. Kwamie Lassiter is doubtful. Kwamie will not start, but Jamal may.

Week 9 -

Jamal does not get the start instead being deactivated. We lose on the road for the first time this week, managing only to muster 10 points against the Patriots while they register 17. Plummer puts up another 3 picks to just one TD pass to Ayi. MLB Pierce got 2 sacks.

Pierce is questionable for next week, as is Lassiter. Dockery should start again.

Week 10 -

Both Bulger and Plummer have had four starts and Bulger has simply done a much better job at the helm. He'll get the start. Terry Pierce will start despite his injury.

Oakland comes into Qualcomm and decimate us 38-21. Bulger puts up 3 TDs and 3 Picks. 2 TDs are passes to Ross Williamson and the other is to Ayi.

Kwamie will start next week.

Week 11 -

A shootout at Arrowhead Stadium, 38-35 puts us back at .500. Dez White returned a kickoff for a score. Ross Williamson rushed for a score. Jerry Porter, Norman Ayi and Reche Caldwell caught TDs. Travis Henry had his first 100 yard game of the season rushing for 127 yards on 22 carries. Pierce had another pair of sacks. Jamal Williams added a pair of his unknown.

Kwamie has been downgraded to questionable, but he'll start next week. We need him.

Week 12 -

We win a game at home (yay!) against the Bucs 26-20. Bulger tossed strikes to Chester Curtis and Chester Curtis. Travis Henry added a score on the ground with 118 yards to go with it.

Bulger is doubtful for next week and Plummer will start.

Week 13 -

We host the Titans. Unfortunate for us because we lose 27-23. The Plummer to White connection gets a score as does Travis on the ground with his 103 rushing yards. Plummer also put up a pair of picks, reminding me why Bulger was starting in the first place.

Marc is questionable but Jake will still start next week.

Week 14 -

We survive a battle in New Orleans, 30-27. Plummer to White yields another score. Terry Pierce recovers a blocked punt for a TD. Travis Henry rushes for a score. Norman Ayi puts up 140 yards. Marcellus Wiley puts up 3.5 sacks, the most ever in a single game in my tenure as the Charger's GM. Marcellus is the NFL Defensive Player of Week 14.

Kwamie Lassiter is out for a few weeks. But we suffered a major blow:

David Boston and Derrick Dockery both blew their ACLs and are out for a long time. I throw them both on IR.

I activate Will Bradley and sign Tony Pashos. Darrin Holliday and Dez White will start for the rest of the year.

Marc Bulger will be back next week.

Week 15 -

We travel to Oakland and escape with a victory 27-24. Bulgers throws TDs to Williamson, Ayi and Ayi. Jamal Williams had 2.5 sacks.

FS Shaun Liwienski is out for a month or so. I put him on IR and sign Mark Roman.

Week 16 -

We host and narrowly defeat the Panthers 30-27. Bulger hits Ayi and Williamson for scores. Ayi *rushes* for a TD. Therefore Norman Ayi had 158 yards receiving and 2 TDs on the day.

Chester Curtis is doubtful for a week or two. Kwamie will remain deactivated because we have won the division, no matter what happens in week 17.

Week 17 -

We manage to lose at Mile High 26-24. Dez White and D.J. Marchant caught Bulger scores while Travis Henry rushed for a another score. Norman Ayi caught 160 yards of balls.

Chester Curtis and Kwamie Lassiter will be back for the playoffs.

At 9-7, we have again won the AFC West. We are seeded fourth and will host a 10-6 Wild Card team.

Wild Card Weekend:

Chicago at Dallas
Cincinnati at San Diego
Detroit at San Francisco
Tennessee at Houston

Cincinnati is favored by 4. We eradicate them. 31-3. Bulger to Henry. Bulger to Williamson. Henry rushes. Bulger 80 yards to Dez White. Perkins FG. 31 points of sweet goodness.

Backup DE Neri notched a pair of sacks.

L.J. Shelton is questionable.
Marc Bulger is out for the year. I toss him on IR.

I'll start LJ and Jake.

In other games:

Dallas over Chicago - 38-24
SF over Detroit 24-14
Houston over Tennessee 23-8.

Every home team won.

Ahhhh, the road. We were 9-7 on the season and 6 of our wins were on the road. I'd rather play on the road than at home, except for the fact that we need every little bit of revenue we can squeeze out of our fanbase.

Miami is favored by six, but don't worry gambling fans. They definately failed to beat the spread, winning 7-6. That's right, 7-6. Plummer went a mighty 9 of 24. We picked the Dolphins off twice but could never score. We won the turnover battle, 2-0, yet Travis Henry managed an anemic 1.6 YPC on 19 tries and Plummer couldn't hit the broadside of the Dolphins Stadium.

In other news:

Dallas over Tampa 13-10
Houston over Baltimore 27-26
Minnesota over SF 41-16

A Look Back at the Season:

All League First String Wideout - Norman Ayi
All League Second String Tackle - L.J. Shelton

League's Strongest Man - Derrick Dockery

Some Stats:

QB Marc Bulger, 10 starts, 61.5 completion %, 2859 yards, 26 Tds, 16 Ints
QB Jake Plummer, 6 starts, 56.5 comp %, 1434 yards, 9 Tds, 11 Ints

Obviously Marc played the pants off Jake. He did it against the big boys, on the road, and in the playoffs. Jake, on the other hand, sucked a hind cow's teet. No competition here.

RB Travis Henry, 310 carries for 1284 yards, 6 TDs

Despite only having three 100+ yard games, Travis had a very high total amount of yards. Very impressive, all things considered.

FB Ross Williamson, 41 carries for 198 yards and a TD, 46 catches for 290 yards and 5 TDs. 10 KRB, 1 SkA

Ross had a solid but unspectacular season.

WR Norman Ayi, 91 catches, 1453 yards, 11 TDs, 1 Rush TD

Norman had a monster year, and proved me right in drafting him.

TE Chester Curtis, 65 grabs, 628 yards, 2 TDs.

Chester had a down year, but still very good yardage.

WR David Boston, 13 starts, 60 receptions for 877 yards and 4 TDs.

David had decent enough stats for 13 games, and may have been on pace for 1000 yards on the season.

WR Dez White, 3 starts, 38 grabs for 474 yards, 7 TDs, 1 KR TD

Continues to be a great third receiver for me.

K Roman Perkins, 27 of 35, 44 of 44 PAT

Acceptable, but he'll never be better than 75 or 80%

P Ethan Griffith, 42.1 average (9th best in NFL), 32 of 82 inside the 20 (5th best in NFL).

As a rookie he's already one of the top punters in the NFL. He'll only get better.

MLB Terry Pierce, 124 tackles, 38 assts, 5.5 sacks, 2 Ints, 7 PasDef, 2 FF
OLB Randall Snyder, 96 tacks, 39 assts, 5.5 sacks, 4 Ints, 9 PasDef, 2 FF, 2 FumRec
WLB Matt Wilhelm, 62 tacks, 22 assts, 2 sacks, 1 Int, 12 PasDef

1, 2, and 4 respectively in tackles on our team. Look at Randall in the passing game! 4 picks is second best on our team. Where once our LB corps was our defensive weakness, it is now our only strength.

DT Jamal Williams, 53 tacks, 26 assts, 8 sacks, 1 FumRec
DE Marcellus Wiley, 37 tacks, 13 assts, 6.5 sacks, 2 FumRec
DT Bert Poston, 38 tacks, 18 assts, 4 sacks, 1 FumRec

Our sack leader a tackle? Marcellus is just no longer worth the cash.

CB Jamar Fletcher, 55 tacks, 16 assts, 5 Ints, 11 PasDef
CB Andre Woolfolk, 47 tacks, 17 assists, 0.5 sacks, 3 Ints, 18 PasDef
SS Kwamie Lassiter, 11 starts, 48 tacks, 19 assts, 2 Ints, 6 PasDef
FS Terrence Holt, 81 tacks, 24 assts, 1 Int, 10 PasDef, 1 FF

Terrence was number three on the team in tackles, Jamar rounded out the top five. Kwamie didn't have good stats even for just 11 starts.

T L.J. Shelton, 31 KRB, 5 SkA
G Casey Matthews, 15 starts, 31 KRB, 3 SkA
C Barret Robbins, 26 KRB, 4 SkA

LJ and Casey had nice years.

End of Season Stuff:

Score:

Team Perform: 72
Fran Value: 50
Profit/Loss: 65
Roster Strength: 92

Year End Score: 66

The salary cap has risen to 108 million

Balance Sheet:

Revenues: 72.75 mill
Costs: 150.06 mill
Profit: (77.31 mill)

Since we have a stadium profit of 25 mill, I conider this better than last year.

We are worth 50 million less than the Falcons, the NFL's 31st ranked team by value.

Worst economy. Worst stadium although that should be changing. Worst fan support.

I do not change ticket prices.

We had 40,000 people in our stadium per game. 55.8% of capacity. Nasty.

DT Jamal Williams and SS Kwamie Lassiter retired. Two high profile long term starters for me that entered the league undrafted.

We have a few high profile unrestricted free agents:

C Barret Robbins
QB Marc Bulger
RCB Jamar Fletcher

We are 19.56 mill under the cap. I elect to leave them alone and head into free agency.

I take a look at my own players first:

David Boston and Derrick Dockery are taking up over 14 million of my cap space together in order to not play this year? Boston may be back for the back half of the season, but not Dockery. They are my 2nd and 3rd highest cap hits for a player.

We come up with an offer with Derrick Dockery to cut his salary by a bunch. Unfortunately, I can't cut injured players, so they'll both be on my roster and payroll for a while.

I extend Randall Snyder's contract by a couple of years.
Extend Britt Clark's contract by a year.

Now we are 22.78 mill under the cap.

Here are our starting needs:

QB?
C
LG?
RT?
K?
LDE?
LDT
RCB
SS

I take a look at the guys running around free agency.

I decide to chase:

LG Dan Torrez
QB Louie Stewart
NT Pat Williams
SS John Howell
RCB Ronde Barber

After a week, other teams have outbid us for Louie, Torrez, and Ronde. I jump above them for Ronde and Torrez.

A week later, Dan Torrez signs with us. We have that LG problem licked! We sign John Howell as well. We are jumped over for Ronde again, and I accept it. Pat Williams has a better offer and I choose not to continue to pursue him.

I do offer Louie Stewart a substantially better contract than my peers are doing. This boy has good skills.

In week three, Louie Stewart signs with us. I choose to accelerate to the end of free agency.

With 11 million under the cap, we enter into the draft.

Here are our roster needs:

FB
WR
C (starting)
C
OT
DE
DT
OLB
MLB
RCB (Starting)
SS

We are drafting at the 26 spot.

10 players are rated in the 70s or higher. Let's see what happens.

All are gone by our pick. Here are my options:

C Graham Shelton
FB Smidgin Hickman
Two SS candidates

But I decide to go with need and ability and draft C Graham Shelton from Rice.

My options are a nice looking kicker, try again with a nice looking QB, a pretty guard, an okay OT.

Going for depth, I take LT Les Long from Oregon.

In the third, our kicker is still up there, so I take him, K Isaac Knight from Howard Payne. He's the first kicker selected.

In the fourth, our QB is still out there, so I grab him. QB Lenny Clemons of Notre Dame.

LDT Dean Nedney from Stanford goes in the fifth.

DE Tracy Lang from Angelo State in the 6th.

LCB Keith Bailey of SMU in the 7th.

We get a B- for the draft, ick.

Every rookie except for Graham signs right away.

The latter free agency period hits and I chase:

FB Ken Ayala
RCB Chris Cash
RB Edgerrin James
FL Devin Lewis
SS Tank Williams

And the following undrafted free agents:

QB Josh Paoletti
WLB Anthony Garrison
WILB Butch Schneider
TE Pete Goodrich
C Lee Fore
C Grady Landis

I re-sign restricted free agent Steven Neri to a three year deal.

By week 6, all of the players we submitted contracts to have signed with us.

We sign Graham Shelton just before camp.

We head into training camp and here is what we discover:

At center, Graham Shelton is nothing special, but can start for a while at least. Of the undrafted rookies, Lee Fore has potential, but Grady is a better current starter.

Our 2nd round pick, OT Les Long, has some decent potentials but nothing tremendous.

I don't know if Isaac Knight can force out Perkins or not.

Our defensive line draftees both look pretty good.

4th rounder QB Lenny Clemons is okay later when he develops.

LCB Keith Bailey doesn't look too bad, but he's nothing that will start for me ever.

With 59 players under contract we have to make some cuts. Here are those who are leaving with my gratitude.

QB Jake Plummer
TE Jimmy Wilcox
LG Mitch Green
K Roman Perkins
RDE Irv Porras
WLB Anthony Garrison
RB Jimmie Norris

I sign SE Walter Young for our receiver depleted roster.

I deactivate:

QB Josh Paoletti
FB Ken Ayala
FL David Boston
C Lee Fore
LDE Tracy Lang
WLB Butch Schneider
FS Shaun Liwienski

Here are our leaders for the year:

RB Travis Henry
FL Devin Lewis
LT L.J. Shelton
DT Pat Williams
SS Tank Williams

An assessment by position:

QB - Louie Stewart may be our permanent QB fixture. He does have an achilles heel, however, so we need to see how that goes. He is very bad at the medium ball. He can launch it long with ease, and he can toss it short with amazing touch, but the medium ball proves him to be just heinous. He also has a tendancy to toss picks. We'll see how he does.

RB - Travis Henry has lost a bit of a step, and he's a power runner. I brought in Edgerrin James for a year to spell Travis and start if necessary.

FB - Ross Williamson is an adequate receiver, a good runner, and a great blocker. A perfectly acceptable fullback.

TE- Chester Curtis remains our big possession target.

FL - Dez White is starting for David Boston until he gets back from ACL surgery. I have no idea whether David will be good enough to start for us or not when he gets back, we'll just have to play it by ear.

SE - Norman Ayi is just spanking godd and fresh off a season where he led the league in receiving.

C - Graham Shelton appears to be a bit of a disappointment in his blocking skills. He has great strength, however. He'll be a decent enough starter for now, but I'll want to look for another starter sooner or later.

LG - Dan Torrez may very well be our answer to our annual LG problems. Dan was the 2007 All League 2nd Team Guard. We know that he'll play at a high level.

RG - Casey Matthews continues to be a simple rock in our offensive team.

LT - L.J. Shelton is getting a little long in the tooth but there do not seem to be any on-field effects as of yet.

RT - Reuben Poulin is strating until Derrick Dockery recovers from his ACL Surgery. Like David Boston, I have no idea what Dockery will look like after he returns, so well just have to hope and see.

P - Ethan Griffith has become almost fully developed in just one year.

K - Isaac Knight is good, but he doesn't seem to be too much better than Roman Perkins. He is much more accurate, however, and I want to see how a more accurate kicker with a weaker leg will do.

LDE - Marcellus Wiley is good enough, but obviously declining in ability due to age.

RDE - Jamal Williams is an acceptable starter, but nothing tremendous or anything.

LDT - In his 12th year, Pat is more of a stopgap measure than anything else. He looks good enough.

RDT - Bert Poston is the last of our acceptable starters. We need a more dominating presence on the defensive line.

MLB - Terry Pierce is a hoss of a linebacker.

SLB - Randall Snyder is another very good linebacker.

WLB - Matt Wilhelm is a long time starter for us, simply because he has done an adequate enough job.

LCB - Andre Woolfolk, a player who came off an injury and hardly missed a step. Our best corner.

RCB - Chris Cash is another in a growing list of acceptable starters who do not dazzle.

SS- The first non-Kwamie starter in my tenure is John Howell, who looks good enough to start long-term, except that he cannot diagnose a play. He was the All League 2nd Team Safety in 2007.

FS - Terrance Holt will start for us again, as another acceptable player.

All in all, our defense needs more great players and less adequate players. Our only good/great players are at the SLB and MLB positions. We need a DT and a CB or something as well.

We go 2-2 in the preseason. The following injuries have been suffered:

FS Shaun Liwienski, probable with the flu

RB Travis Henry, questionable for a few weeks. Ed James will start in his stead.

RDT Bobby Hill, out with a strained patellar tendon for a month or so.

LT L.J. Shelton, out for a couple of months with a broken wrist.

So both of my starting OTs are out for a long time with various serious injuries.

I sign RT Mario Godfrey, a five year pro with borderline acceptable stats and the best available tackle. In order to make room, I have to make a difficult decision:

Release a player or put somebody on IR. I place Derrick Dockery on IR for the season.

Week 1 -

Our opening game is at divisional rival Oakland. We win by a field goal 27-24. Ed James rushes for a pair of scores, Louie Stewart tosses a TD to Dez White, and rookie Isaac Knight knocks a pair of field goals through including a 53 yard game winner as time expires. Talk about an introduction to the league.

Oakland's Marc Bulger tossed a pair of TDs, so we were once again playign against a familiar foe. Drew Brees in Denver, Marc Bulger in Oakland, it's like the entire division is captained by our castoffs.

Game MVP is MLB Terry Pierce with a pair of sacks. Also with a duo of QB takedowns is Bert Poston. All told, we took down Bulger eight times on the day with a pair of picks by Chris Cash and Terrance Holt.

Unfortunately, we lost Louie Stewart for the year with a severe hamstring pull. I throw him on IR, activate Josh Paoletti, and sign MLB Leslie Alstatt, a familiar face from our past.

First round "bust" Zack Kirk will start for the remainder of the season, and take our three time defending AFC West Champions for a spin. This is his chance to make a name for himself.

Week 2 -

We continue our theme from last year by dropping our home game against the Cowboys 30-17. Zack launched bombs to Reche Caldwell and Walter Young. Ed James was held to only 29 yards rushing, Zack also tossed a pair of picks, and our defense never forced a turnover.

However, Chester Curtis proved a reliable target for our new QB catching 9 balls and Norman Ayi snagged 109 yards of passes on 6 grabs. Toss in a pair of sacks by Matt Wilhelm and there wer certainly moments in the game that proved we can do well under Zack Kirk's guidance. I hope.

Additional injuries to Pat Williams and Jamal Reynolds are minor. Travis Henry will start this week after being upgraded to probable.

Week 3 -

We are stymied in Miami losing 24-14. Our only scores were the two passes Norman Ayi caught from Zack Kirk. Kirk never tossed a pick and looked good, but Travis Henry was held to 40 yards. Terry Pierce had 13 solo tackles and 3 more assists.

Obviously, our ground game stumbles without L.J. Shelton. We need him back soon.

We have the following additional injuries:

FS Terrance Holt is out with MCL Damage to the knee for the year. I put him on IR.

Andre Woolfolk is probable.

Ed James is questionable.

L.J. Shelton is questionable.

LJ will continue to sit our for a bit. Ed is downgraded to third on teh depth chart.

I sign FS Todd Johnson to start for us.

Week 4 -

We travel to Pittsburgh and Zack Kirk gets his first win 33-23. Reche Caldwell, Chester Curtis and Dez White all get scores as Isaac Knight kicks four FGs through. Kirk doesn't toss an interception. Terry Pierce had two picks on the day plus a forced fumble.

New FS Todd Johnson is out for the year with degenerative hip condition. I place him on IR as well. I sign FS Van Frederickson to start for us.

Week 5 -

BYE

L.J. Shelton has been upgraded to probable and will start for us in Week 6. Hopefully our running game will kick it up a notch.

Week 6 -

We travel to Baltimore where the Ravens are heavily favored by 12, only to lose 24-14 to go up 3-2 on the season. The Ravens fans will not be pleased this week, I'll tell you. Zack Kirk hit Ross Williamson, Norman Ayi and Walter Young for scores with one pick. Marcellus Wiley notched a pair of sacks.

L.J. Shelton is out for 6 more weeks. Pat Williams is doubtful. David Boston is probable for five weeks. We'll hold off starting him for a few weeks just to insure that he is fully healed before throwing him back out there.

Week 7 -

We host the Browns this week and barely emerge victorious, winning 10-9. Ed James rushed for our sole score, Britt Clark carried most of the load- 25 times for 78 yards, our best output of the season thus far. Kirk only managed to complete 10 of 25 passes for 151 yards. No picks at least. We picked off the Browns four times and forced two fumbles which we recovered leading to a 6:1 TO margin (Britt Clark fumbled it away once). Yet, despite that, we managed an anemic 10 points.

Travis Henry is out for a few weeks. Edgerrin James is out for a month or two. I place Ed on the IR, I have no time to allocate to his rehabilitation. I sign street free agent RB Hugh Reid. Britt Clark will start for a few games and Hugh will be his main backup.

Pat Williams is at least back this week after being upgraded to probable.

We sit at 4-2, but we have had an awful lot of attrition already.

Week 8 -

We crush the Broncos here at Qualcomm stadium 31-14. Ross Williamson rushes for a pair of scores and Hugh Reid adds another rushing TD. Kirk lobs a TD to Ayi. We pick off Drew Brees twice.

Amazingly enough, there are no additional injuries this week.

Week 9 -

We lose to Oakland 21-17. Ross WIlliamson and Walter Young catch Zack Kirk passes but he adds a pair of picks as well. Likewise, Bulger tosses a pair of TDs to his receivers but we pick him off twice. Travis Henry has been upgraded to probable and will start for us next week. FB Ross Williamson pulled his groin and is doubtful. I deactivate him for a week or two to heal.

Week 10 -

We host and defeat the Bengals 21-16. Zack Kirk finds Ayi and Dez White for TDs. Hugh Reid adds a score on the ground. The Game MVP was Chester Curtis, however. Kirk tossed four picks but Chester caught 11 balls for 104 yards. MLB Terry Pierce added another pick.

SLB Randall Snyder has suffered MCL damage and is out for the year. I place him on IR and sign SLB Larry Gardner. Larry comes in as our starter.

Week 11 -

We barely lose to the Chiefs, 25-24. Travis Henry rushes for a score, Dez White returns a kickoff for a TD and Curtis catches a TD pass from Kirk. Isaac Knight's FG was a 54 yarder. Brand new player Larry Gardner led our team in tackles and notched our only sack on the day.

LJ is probable but I'll keep him out for a bit just in case, having learned from my lesson with LJ.

WLB Matt Wilhelm is out for a few weeks with a seperated shoulder.

Daid Boston is back from injury and will start next week. He looks a lot worse, but he's still our best player at the flanker postion.

Week 12 -

We tough it out in Washington and win 14-9. Hugh Reid recovered a fumble and advanced it for a score. Terry Pierce picked off Washington and returned it for a score. It was enough to win the game.

I just wish that our offense would have added at least a token score on the day. Kirk lobbed a pair of picks, but David Boston caught 7 balls in his retrun.

Yet, this was defensive day for the Chargers. Bert Poston had a pair of sacks, Terry Pierce had a pick, a sack, 11 solo tackles to lead the team, a score and a forced fumble to get Game MVP honors. Jamal Reynolds had a sack and a half.

There are no additional injuries, thank the Lord.

Week 13 -

We host and lose to the Texans, 31-17. Kirk finds the endzone again, hitting Chester Curtis for the score. Hugh Reid adds a ground score. Travis Henry clocks our first 100 yard game, for 108 yards total on 18 carries. Kirk puts up 3 Interceptions and has looked stinky recently. Chester Curtis with 8 grabs led the next highest receiver by 5 receptions.

Matt Wilhelm is probable and will start next week. Pat Williams is doubtful again. Jamal Reynolds is doubtful as well, and Ross Williamson has yet to recover, still being listed as questionable.

Reche Caldwell is out for the season and I place him on IR.

I sign RDE Jerome Becker to help out with the injuries to our defensive line currently an issue.

Week 14 -

Our 7-5 Chargers is currently leading two 6-6 AFC West teams. This week is the Giants. Unfortunately, we scrub out, losing 11-24. Zack Kirk hits David Boston for our lone TD, David's first since his ACL injury. Ayi catches a two point conversion. Zack puts up a pair of picks.

Ross Williamson has finally been upgraded to probable and will start next week. Chris Cash is out for the season with a broken foot. I IR him. Lewis Douglas will start for us the remainder of the year.

Week 15 -

We travel to Denver to avenge our loss and win 40-17 in a statement game. We are bruised, battered, and infirm. And yet we can still kick ass! Andre Woolfolk returns a pick for a TD, Isaac Knight kicks a 55 yarder and four FGs on the day, Britt Clark and Travis Henry add scores on the ground. Travis Henry finishes the day with 133 yards and a pair of rushing TDs on 22 carries. Four players pick off Drew Brees.

L.J. Shelton is fully healed and will start next week. Pat Williams has healed and will start along with Jamal Reynolds who was upgraded to probable.

Week 16 -

We are 8-6 as is the Oakland Raiders but we are winning the tiebreaker because we swept them this year. But we have to win out.

We start by defeating the Eagles in Phily 27-6. Marcellus Wiley returned a fumble for a TD. Zack hit Chester Curtis and Norman Anyi for scores. Curtis had 118 yards on 12 receptions. Terry Pierce picked Phily off.

Andre Woolfolk is out for a week or two. I deactivate him in hopes that he can play in the playoffs.

Jamal Reynolds has been downgraded to doubtful and deactivated yet again.

I sign CB Ty Pentasuglio to be a backup.

Oakland lost but KC won. Therefore we have to win next week against them.

Week 17 -

Season ending games against the competetion is not a good thing for my health. Or my team's health either, for that matter.

We manage to knock off the Chiefs here at home 16-13. We win the AFC West with a record of 10-6.

Ross Williamson rushed for a score and Isaac Knight kicked three FGs for the win. Norman Ayi caught 10 balls for 164 yards, a team record.

Pat Williams is doubtful for a few weeks, but Andre Woolfolk is probable and may start next week.

Buffalo comes into our stadium and survives a shootout, 41-34. Zack passes scores to Norman Ayi, Dez White, and Chester Curtis. Travis Henry adds a rush for a score.

Kirk doesn't toss a pick all day. We onyl get two sacks and one turnover all day, as our defense just lets the Bills score all over us.

In other news:

Atlanta over Seattle, 21-14
Giants over Lions, 10-7
Ravens over Colts, 42-28

Divisional Weekend:

Atlanta at Minnesota, 19-13
Baltimore at New York, 21-16
Buffalo at Houston, 24-33
New York at New Orleans, 17-23

Ideas of an all New York Super Bowl die as all three New York teams lose.

Championships:

Atlanta at New Orleans
Baltimore at Houston

Saints 23, Falcons 17
Ravens 20, Texans 10

Super Bowl:

New Orleans Saints

vs

Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore 27

New Orleans 14

Your 2009 NFL Champions, the Baltimore Ravens!!!!!

Let's take a look at this season:

Awards:

Defensive Player of the Year: Terry Pierce
All League First Team LB - Terry Pierce
All League Second Team TE - Chester Curtis

Stats:

QB Zack Kirk, 15 starts, 62.8% completion rate, 3560 yards, 20 TDs, 19 Ints

Zack was acceptable, barely, as a starter. He just had too many questionable games. However, he did have the first half of the season without David Boston.

RB Travis Henry, 12 starts, 696 yards, 3 TDs, 3.5 ypc
RB Britt Clark, 1 start, 80 carries, 373 yards, 4.6 ypc

With a low YPC and a smaller amount of carriers due to injury, it's easy to see how our ground game was anemic at times. LJ Shelton was sorely missed. Ed James had a 3.8 ypc, Hugh Reid a 3.2 ypc, but Britt Clark had a 4.6 ypc, which stands out in my view.

TE Chester Curtis, 95 catches, 899 yards, 4 TDs
WR Norman Ayi, 83 catches, 1064 yards, 6 TDs
FB Ross Williamson, 8 games started, 34 grabs, 260 yards, 2 TDs

Chester had his best professional year catching the ball and Norman had another strong year all things considered. 95 catches is a team record, and it's by a Tight End! Of 333 completions by a QB this year, Chester caught 95, about 26%.

K Isaac Knight, 23 of 36, 38 of 38 PAT, long of 55
P Ethan Griffith, 41.7 average, 34 of 80 punts in 20.

Isaac had a good enough year for a rookie, now we'll see how he does after he develops, we need a higher FG percentage. Ethan had another good year punting. Ethan was 10th in average distance and had the second highest percenatge of punts in the 20 in the league, showing that he does quality work.

MLB Terry Pierce, 127 tackles, 36 assists, 7 sacks, 8 Ints, 1 Int TD, 9 PasDef, 3 FF, 2 FumRec

Terry simply had a mammoth year and was rightfully rewarded for it. He led our team in tackles, sacks, interceptions, fumble recoveries and assisted tackles. I love the day that we decided to pursue Terry in free agency.

SLB Larry Gardner (15 starts, Larry spent 8 weeks with the Jets, with us, these stats are for both teams combined) - 79 Tacks, 27 Assts, 5 Sacks, 2 Ints, 4 PasDef, 3 FF
WLB Matt Wilhelm, 14 starts, 56 tacks, 18 assts, 3.5 sacks, 9 PasDef, 3 FF

Larry doesn't look like a half bad linebacker when all is said and done. Matt had another adequate year despite his injury.

SS John Howell, 72 Tacks, 21 Assts, 1 Sack, 3 Ints, 21 PasDef, 2 FF, 1 FumRec
CB Andre Woolfolk, 15 starts, 66 Tacks, 17 Assts, 1 Int, 1 Int TD, 18 PasDef

John Howell had the most passes defended against in a season in my tuteledge - more than Quentin Jammer or Kwamie Lassister or Andre Woolfolk. Speaking of which, Andre was fourth on the team in tackles, third if you count Larry Gardner's as split stats and not total.

DT Bert Poston, 31 tacks, 27 Assts, 5.5 Sacks, 1 FF, 1 FumRec
DE Marcellus Wiley, 34 Tacks, 14 Assts, 5 Sacks
DE Jamal Reynolds, 43 Tacks, 18 Assts, 5 sacks

Marcellus's production continues to drop, and last year's decent year must have been a blip on an otherwise downward spiral. Bert certainly had a decent enough year from the middle.

RG Casey Matthews, 31 KRB, 3 SkA
C Graham Shelton, 21 KRB, 10 SkA

Casey was our best O Lineman with LJ out. I also included Graham's stats so that you could analyze them and see how our first rounder performed.

We ended the season with 8 players on IR and 61 players on our roster under contract.

Some End of Season Stuff:

Version 5.0b has been d/l'ed and updated.

Our Score:

Performance: 74
Franchise Value: 47
Profit/Loss: 60
Roster Strength: 92

Overall: 64

The salary cap has risen to 113,500,000

Elected into the Hall of Fame are Vinny Testaverde and Rich Gannon.

(Really? Did either of these guys have anything close to resembling a Hall of Fame career? The first Hall of Fame, but no Tim Brown, Jerry Rice, Junior Seau or Shannon Sharpe. Vinny and Rich?)

Balance Sheet (get ready to squint):

Revenues: 77,820,000
Costs: 168,440,000

Profit (-90,620,000)

Ouch.

In terms of franchise value, J'ville and St. Louis have dived below us for overall value. We stil have the worst economy and fan support. Our stadium, however, has been graded slightly bettern that that in St. Louis.

Our average attendance was 40,500 with a percent attendance of 56.5% The lowest, of course.

San Diego's growth has plummeted to -2.0%. The average income has dropped to 27,900, and poverty is at 16.2%.

Several of our players retire: DT Pat Williams, RB Edgerrin James, G Gabe Rogers.

We have several high profile unrestricted free agents.

Marcellus Wiley
Jamal Reynolds
L.J. Shelton
Dez White
Travis Henry
Reche Caldwell
Roubin Poulin
Bert Poston

We are almost 30 million under the cap, so I franchise L.J. Shelton. We just have to have him on our team.

At the beginning of the free agency period I take a look at our current roster. We have 22.95 million in cap room currently.

I extend David Boston's contract by a year and reduce his cap hit since the inury has left him a weaker version of his former self.

I extend CB Skip McBoo's contract for a year and reduce his cap hit.

We sign Norman Ayi to a blockbuster five year 60 million dollar deal that will extend his San Diego tenure by four years.

We sign L.J. Shelton to a three year deal.

I enter the free agency bidding with 25 million available under the cap, and 94 million of next ear's cap being used.

We need help in the following positions:

RB
FL?
LDE
RDE
LDT
RDT
RCB
FS?

I make offers to Marcellus Wiley, Reche Caldwell and Chris Cash to start the free agency period. Both are either decent starters or quality backups and are relatively cheap.

I also make offers to:

RB Shane Prescott, a 7 year pro signable to a cheap contract.

NT Eddie Gandy, our big pursuit of a major free agent. I want a massive presence on our defensive line.

RDT Bert Poston, a perfectly good DT and a body we are familiar with.

LCB Dana Spatz, another very big free agent we are trying to sign for a reasonable cost.

RCB Nnamdi Asimugha, good corner with a great price tag. This is essentially a depth persuit.

As you can see, we are really trying to revamp our defense. Let's see what happens.

Chris Cash signs with us at the end of week one. Our bids on Dana and Eddie have been superceeded by other teams. I jump back over our competetion for both players. Again, we'll see what happens, since we have the high bid for everybody else.

Week 2 sees Shane Prescott and Bert Poston sign with us. Two holes filled. Dana is again offered a bid higher than our own, this time by the Titans. I can't jump higher, so we'll just have to see if Dana likes our bid more.

Week 3 and Marcellus Wiley signs with us. No action with other players.

Week 4 - Reche Caldwell comes back into the fold. And Dana Spatz signs with us!!! Dana was All league CB three of his first five years in the league and on his way to the Hall of Fame.

I submit an offer to Jamal Reynolds to return to us.

I move Andre Woolfolk to the riht side where he'll start for us across from Dana. I withdraw our offer to Nnamdi, instead offering a postion to old draft pick Lewis Douglas.

Week 6 sees us sign Jamal Reynolds. We are running up agaisnt the cap, with only 9 million left. I check our player's status.

I want to sign our DT prospect, but the Titans have the best offer and we cannot afford to any more. I withdraw our offer, just in case he wanted to sign.

Week 7 - We sign Lewis Douglas.

I skip to the draft.

Entering the draft, we have the following needs:

RB
TE
WR
RG
RT
LDT *
MLB
WLB
FS

Let's see what we can discover.

We are drafting #27 overall. Not the best place to find talent. I'll essentially be doing the best available approach.

I have a few options at the 27 spot. There is a nice center, and if I want to call the Graham Shelton draft pick a bust, Hugh McNeil looks really nice. But, who spends two consecutive first round selections on a center?

FS Xavier Marschalk from UCLA could be a starter for us in the secondary, and we have a need at that position after Terrence Holt's injury left him a worse player.

There are FBs, CBs and Gs, but I think we need to go with C or FS. And of those two, FS is the greatest need on our team, so I draft Xavier.

In the second, I am really looking at the defensive line here. But the problem is, the best available player on our board is a corner. How do I justify drafting a corner so highly when I have such great backups at the position?

He's great at punt returns, that's how. I draft Adam Stoner from Florida State and Morgantown, WV.

In the third I have several options. A run stopping DT who is quite poor at rushing the QB. A decent DE. A pretty nice looking C who might be able to replace Graham someday. Decent Guards for depth. A pass rushing specialist MLB who'd be a nice backup and passing downs player. A really nice looking pair of QBs. A Kicker who'd kick the pants off our current guy.

A tough decision. So I have to go with a simple principle, who'd have the best chance to start someday (and is a non-kicker?). C Junior Hickman from Oregon.

In the fourth I take DT Walt Holliday from Lafayette, the DT I was considering at 3.

In the fifth I take a flyer on QB Chuck Schnebele from Illinois.

Sixth is WLB Richard Grammatica, from Arkansas State.

Seventh is TE Earl Spano from Mississippi.

Everybody except our first round FS Xavier signs in the first rookie signing period.

We are graded a B for the draft.

I sign restricted free agents C Grady Landis and SLB Larry Gardner

I offer contracts to the following undrafted rookie free agents:

RB Antonio Kaufman
RDE Donnie Benson
FB Bennie Sargent
RG Gilbert Pearson
RT Mo Goulet
WILB Al Upshaw

All sign with us, although we had some serious competetion for Al Upshaw and had to add 60,000 to his salary in order to sign him.

I release FB Ken Ayala.

I get Xavier signed and into camp.

Just before camp, I sign some more undrafted rookies for depth and competetion:

SE Kenyon Yamashita
K Joey Brandenfeis

Post Traing Camp I take a look at my rookies:

FS Xavier - Looks good enough to start for me, maybe for a while, maybe just for a few years, we'll see.

CB Adam Stoner - Gotta stop drafting corner high, they never look as good as advertised.

C Junior Hickman - My first offical major bust, Junior is horrible and may get cut in the post camp cuts.

LDT Walt Holliday - Another bust, not the run stopping genius we thought he was. Another potential cut.

QB Chuck - Another position I need to stop drafting so highly, I always seemed to get burned.

WLB Richard - Weak. Literally.

TE Earl Spano - Also weak. Also literally.

Undrafted rookies:

RB Kaufman - Looks decent enough to spell our better backs.

FB Bennie Sargent - Not that great, should see the cutting room floor sooner or later.

SE Kenyon - A marginally acceptable roster filler.

RT Mo Goulet - Definite Run Blocking specialist, but may be our second best run blocker on the team, after LJ. A good backup to have.

DE Donnie Benson - Strong player but not good potential.

WILB Al Upshaw - Pass rushing specialist with very poor coverage skills and anemic run stopping ability.

K Joey - Not good enough. Will get cut.

I move Al Upshaw to WLB and Richard Grammatica to MLB.

Post camp cuts:

K Joey Brandenfeis
C Junior Hickman
RDE Donnie Benson
RCB Skip McGoo

Our Leaders:

RB Shane Prescott
FL Devin Lewis
LT LJ Shelton
LDE Marcellus Wiley
SS Tank Williams

I deactivate:

QB Lenny Clemons
FB Bennie Sargent
SE Kenyon Yamashita
RG Gilbert Pearson
LDT Walt Holliday
WLB Al Upshaw
LCB Keith Bailey

FB Bennie Sargent is possibly the manifestation of my own real last name: Sargent.

I still have every first round draft selection on our team:

TE Chester Curtis
SLB Randall Snyder
SE Norman Ayi
FB Ross Williamson
QB Zack Kirk
C Graham Shelton
FS Xavier Marshalk

Just thought that was interesting.

We go 2-2 in the preseason. We have the following injuries:

CB Andre Woolfolk questionable for a couple of weeks, will be replaced in the opening week by Chris Cash.

FB Ross Williamson, questionable for a couple of weeks with a strained knee. Will still start.

RB Shane Prescott, out with a strained elbow tendon for three weeks. Britt Clark will start.

CB Dana Spatz, out for a couple of weeks with a hyperextended knee.

RDE Jamal Reynolds, out for a month with a strained foot ligament

MLB Terry Pierce, probable for a month with a strained MCL.

QB Louie Stewart out for a month with a hyperextended knee.

Zack Kirk starts again. May heaven have mercy on our souls.

Week 1 -

We lose to the Broncos 25-32. Zack put up three TDs, two picks, and a two point conversion. TDs were to Caldwell, Curtis, and Ayi with Reche picking up the conversion. We had no pressure. Just one sack, from Randall Snyder. No picks, and Steven Neri, filling in for the injured Jamal forced the fumble that was our only turnover on the day, recovered by Xavier Marschalk.

Andre Woolfolk, who played sparingly as the dimeback, is now out for a few weeks having aggravated his injury. Although Dana Spatz has been upgraded to questionable, he'll still sit.

Week 2 -

We travel to Seattle and defeat our old division mates 20-17. Zack hits Ayi, Britt Clark rushes for a score, and Knight hits a pair of FGs for the win. Reche Caldwell caught 10 balls for 147 yards. Neri notched a pair of sacks, and we are again held pickless.

RB Shane Prescott is probable and will start this week. Likewise Dana Spatz.

Week 3 -

Baltimore comes to play and we don't, losing 42-18. Britt Clark rushes for a TD and a conversion, Reche Caldwell is hit for our other TD on the day. But not by Zack Kirk, but by Chuck Schnebele. Britt Clark had 122 yards on 16 carries. Again our defense went pickless.

Injuries:

FL David Boston, questionable for a few weeks.

CB Dana Spatz aggravated his injury and will be out for a few more weeks.

RB Shane Prescott, out for 6 weeks.

RT Derrick Dockery, out for 7 weeks with a broken ankle

MLB Terry Pierce out for 8 weeks with torn knee cartilage.

SLB Randall Snyder, out for 8 weeks with a broken clavicle.

So, in one week, on defense, our three stud players - CB Spatz, MLB Pierce, and SLB Snyder all go out. Add our starting RB and RT and we have an interesting problem. And one that is all too familiar.

Linebackers Larry Gardner and Richard Gramatica will start this week. Whew.

Week 4 -

We edge out Houston 16-10. Antonio Kaufman broke a 54 yard TD run. Add three Knight FGs. Our Game MVP was Marcellus Wiley with a pair of sacks. We got a couple of picks today.

Additional Injuries:

LJ Shelton is out for a couple of weeks with a hyperextended knee.

QB Louie Stewart is probable and will definately start this week.

C Graham Shelton is out for six weeks with a torn calf muscle.

Week 5 -

We defeat Indy 24-21. We are starting to win the close ones this year. Louie Stewart hit Devin Lewis, Zack Kirk hit Ross Williamson for a TD and a conversion. Britt Clark rushed for a score. We scored 17 fourth quarter points to rally.

Injuries:

QB Louie Stewart was pulled with an aggravated injury. He'll be out for another few weeks.

WR Reche Caldwell is out for a week with a sprained deltoid muscle. David Boston is probable and will start.

Dana Spatz is probable but I'll want another week before starting him.

CB Chris Cash is out for three weeks with a strained achilles' tendon.

DE Jamal Reymolds is back.

Week 6 -

We defeat the Raiders here in Qualcomm 20-15. Despite us being banged up, we are still winning some football games. Zack Kirk hit Ayi twice for scores. Antonio Kaufman rushed for 152 yards on 23 carries and really opened some eyes. Ayi caught 8 calls for 108 yards. Dan Torrez threw down 6 Key Run Blocks on the day. Both Marcellus Wiley and Bert Poston had double sack days. A good Sunday from a game perspective.

No additional major injuries.

Week 9 -

We are two games ahead of the competetion in the AFC West, so we can afforded to rest a few players more than I might normally want. We travel to Tennessee this week, and lose, 21-35 to go to 5-3 for the first half of the season.

Dana Spatz returned another pick for a TD, this time 87 yards on the return. David Boston caught a TD pass and Britt Clark rushed for a score. Zack Kirk put up three Ints on the day.

David Boston, Louie Stewart, Shane Presscott and C Grady Lewis are all healed. Louie will start next week, the others already did.

There are no additional injuries.

Week 10 -

The big news this week is that, of course, Louie Stewart is starting again. We host the 7-1 Jaguars, and this is our chance to make a statement, go to 6-3 on the season in our own house, and get our offensive line and linebackers healed a bit.

We defeat the Jags 17-7. Chester Curtis caught a TD pass from Louie, Shane Prescott rushed for a score. Travis Henry scored for the Jags, which is interesting, I think.

Game MVP? SLB Larry Gardner. 10 Tacks, 4 Assts, 1 Int. Louie Stewart looked rusty upon his return - two picks, 14 of 25 for 151 yards.

The following players are fully healed - Derrick Dockery, Graham Shelton, Terry Pierce. Our power returns!

A new injury occured - FL Devin Lewis is out for a month with a hyperextended knee.

Week 11 -

We are still two games up on the AFC West and we are having our players return from the injured list. This week we travel to Arrowhead Stadium and the Chiefs. We win 27-10 over the hapless 3-7 Chiefs. NFL Defensive Player of the Week and Game MVP - Marcellus Wiley registered three sacks on the day.

RB Shane Prescott rushed for 130 yards on 28 carries and a TD. Louie Stewart tossed a pair of TDs to David Boston in addition to 2 Interceptions to the Kansas City defense.

Hopefully Reche Caldwell and Randall Snyder will be back after another week out.

SS John Howell is doubtful with a severe wrist sprain. Tank Williams will start until he returns.

RT Derrick Dockery is probable with a sprained thumb.

Week 12 -

We lose to the Rams 17-14. FB Ross Williamson caught a TD pass and Shane Prescott added a score on the ground. But Louie Stewart put the game out of our reach when he tossed a pick to St. Louis with just a few minutes left in the game. The pick is returned for the TD and we lose.

Louie Stewart put up three interceptions.

Reche Caldwell and Randell Snyder are back from injury. There are no major injuries this week.
