Excellent QB picks. How many of each position do you start per week?

I have had Bubba as my tight end once or twice before.

Not too certain about the defenses. Need to do some last minute research there. Usually a crap shoot though.

No trades, it's an office thing. Not my main fantasy league (we draft this weekend for that one).

I picked up Bettis in round 11. At that point, I was just looking for backup RBs that might get playing time.

1 QB
2 RB
2 WR
1 TE
1 K
1 DEF

or you can go 3 RB/1 WR or 1 RB/3WR.

My draft is tonight (8 team league...same owners for 6 years), but I haven't had time to do any research. You guys know of any free sites that have good, detailed, predictions?

Yep, I might have waited too long to draft my D. The top ones were gone, so I took a chance with Pittsburgh. They usually rate high, but usually disappoint.

Most of the good sites charge now. I think there's one called fantasyfootballreports.com or something similar that has free cheat sheets that give predicted stats for each player.

Sorry, VPI, I'd just pick up a 3 dollar magazine on your way home or whatever. They are pretty decent.

Eh...most of my top picks usually miss the season due to injury anyway, so going in with minimal research probably won't change much.

There might be one or two teams who do this year because they waited too long to pick up their second RB. Most teams went RB in rounds 1, 2 and 3. By the time it came back around to me in round 3, the only starting RBs left were guys like Pittman, Zereoue, etc. Guys that I wasn't comfortable being starters all year, let alone being productive.

I find the teams who make the best early - mid season FA pickups are the ones who go on a nice run to the playoffs in a FF league.

I always go in thinking first two picks are RB's, but then I never end up doing that. Usually take a QB with my second pick.

Yep. Last year I had several guys who killed me because of injury. There's no way to know until the season is underway.

We are only 25 posts behind the other tribe....I think they were up nearly 80 at one point.

Depth at RB is an issue though. Especially if Cory Dillon goes down.

I think you are fine. RB is a bit week, but as long as you are running guys who are acually starting out there every week, you will be fine. If Favre stays healthy you will be in every game you play.

I picked up Mike Anderson in case Portis goes down. Denver always seems to run the ball so well, I don't think an injury to him would kill me.

I really like my WRs.

Moulds and Toomer are good starters. Rod Smith on the bench is pretty solid too.

Priest Holmes went #1 in the draft.

Thought that was a risky pick for the #1 overall.

I wouldn't mind trying a league with Quiksand. I suspect he'd be a pretty tough opponent.

Of course, most of the time a secretary wins our league anyway, so maybe Quiksand would be a good opponent to have.
