Okay, technically I'm no longer a Chicago-ite (damn broke employer!), but I still go up all the time, and thusly consider myself from civilization.
And for all the other Chicago folk. We ought to try and do an FOFC outing sometime, considering how many of us there are. Wrigley bleachers, anyone? |

Im afraid Fayetteville, AR isnt a major metropolitan area And I think theres approximately one other dude Ive seen from here. I AM 3 hours from KC and Little Rock, an hour and a half from Tulsa, 4 and a half hour from OKC, 5 hours from STL and about 6 from Dallas though! Oh and I think 8 and half from Omaha. hehe

Bleachers sounds like a great idea. Of course Chicago has some great minor league teams too. If that is more exciting for people I'd be up for a Courgars, Wizards, or White Sox game. |

Heh, or better yet, we could get the WI folks in on it as well, and go to the Renn Faire in Bristol, WI.

I remember once when I went to the Renn Faire. It was fun. Can't remember any specifics except for that my grandma got drunk. That was pretty funny.

Ragone and I might be the only KC people here, but we could bring in Sterling and I think Scarecrow is in Topeka. We'd probably be better off meeting the St. Louis contigency in Columbia on a football Saturday and then hit Harpo's. There are a few other Show-Me staters outstate as well.
MJ4H -- I'll be in your neck of the woods in a couple of weeks. My better half likes going down to Eureka Springs, so we'll be heading down there. I'm hoping to sneak in 18 while she's getting a massage, but I haven't found any great courses down there. |

I guess I'm the only person representing the World's Biggest Harbour, being Rotterdam with suburbs?
I am not willing to recognize the so-called Randstad as a major city (which would include Rotterdam, The Hague and Amsterdam all in one) in this case. |

I was suprised to see there were a few people from Columbia, S.C. on this board. One has Gamecock in his sig and the other one I can't remember off the top of my head. Columbia is only three hours from Atlanta.

Zarda's advertises on the KC sports talk station so it's a pretty safe bet they're still around. Never been there myself. Actually, I think as often as possible the late morning show "Crunch Time" (and I think Kietzman's has, too) has had remotes there- nothing like bribing ex-football players with loads of BBQ. SI

Saying Zarda BBQ is better than KC Masterpiece (and I'm referring to the original KC Masterpiece) is like saying Ponderosa is better than the Herford House (or Golden Ox). (BTW, I grew up in what is now the parking lot for The Kansas Speedway. I currently reside in Topeka.)

KC Masterpiece or Gates, depending on your tastes.
Every time to visit Kansas, I bring back bottles and bottles of Gates BBQ sauce (10 or more each trip). I've got people up here in Chicago sold on the stuff.

Really? Must be my tastes then, there is a KC Masterpiece here in Chesterfield, I don't think it compares to Zarda. Actually, if we were taking a poll, I think Super Smokers would be my favorite! Next time I am in KC, I'm definitly going to the Herford House! Mmmmm... thick juicy steaks! Todd |

I moved up to the Lou from the South a few months back. I've got to say that Super Smokers is the closest thing to good BBQ that St. Louis has. Bandana's, on the other hand, is just putrid..... |
