That win vs Finland was remarkable.
I am coaching the games, and that third period was unreal. The last two minutes Finland had several amazing chances Treacy kicked away, and it kept us undefeated with our next two games being against Belarus and Germany, we should go 4-0 and get a much needed bye. |

NCAA PRESS RELEASE
USA CELEBRATES WJC WIN!
Players Find Time To Announce Committments!
After a thrilling WJC tournament in Germany that saw the United States shock the hockey world with the tournaments youngest team and win the WJC Gold Medal, several of the teams youngest players let the world know where they would be playing hockey next season. Current Bozeman goalie, and WJC MVP Sean Treacy was first to act, announcing to the world he'd be manning the pipes for the University of Maine next fall. Apparently that was the nudging that D Ivan Carrillo of the USHL's Omaha Lancers needed, as Carrillo decided to announce that he too would be playing hockey next season for Maine. Carrillo's partner on D in the WJC's and bitter rival Daniel Turner announced to the world that he will be lacing them up for Wisconsin next season. Turner and Carrillo both buried the hatchet for the good of the US, but rumor is nothing is settled. Finally, the teams youngest member, Joe Mazeika decided to not only go to a premier hockey school, but an academic one as well, as Mazeika announced he will be attending Harvard next season. Expect some great battles between Mazeika and Owen Hunter who plays for Dartmouth next season. On a related note, Springfield Pics player Colton Mayes announced he'll play D-III hockey next year for Lawerence. |

best. dynasty. ever. I was actually a fairly talented high school goalie (went into my junior and senior seasons as the #1 goalie), but was incredibly injury prone. Several concussions, broken collarbone, broken ankle, broken wrist. I ended up playing less than 10 games at the varsity level. |

i hear ya' brother. though i played through mine (no breaks, just 3 concussions, some sprains so it was doable) i wasn't quite as good as i should've been. still, i loved it, and will always love hockey. |
