Barron will be fine - shit, you don't have to love football to be good at it - and that's what the apparent problem is. I could see Philly trading up to get him or Khalid barnes.

I have to agree with a few people who aren't as enamored with Johnson as some others. Don't get me wrong; I think he'll be a good pro, a very good player. But I don't have a problem with the Cowboys not taking him.

My problem with the Cowboys is that DeMarcus Ware may in fact be a very good player, but I'm always hesitant about guys who play outstanding in small conferences. He hasn't played against the best competition, and combine scores typically aren't enough to sway me. I would've felt more comfortable with a Merriman pick. Hopefully, Ware will prove me wrong.

Geez, enough of the "message for Aaron Rodgers" nonsense. He's a big boy, he'll be fine.

Exactly. The Lions were pathetic in the red zone. Horrible. If C-Rog stays healthy, they'll have an amazing WR core. If Harrington can't get it done, Garcia will be in there in a second.

Anyone in the 'Green Room' or whatever they call it slip to the 2nd round before. It'd be kinda funny.

Randy Mueller just said this in ESPN's draft cast,

Quote:
Randy Mueller: (3:21 PM ET ) Derrick Johnson is a great athlete. He looks like tarzan. He can go sideline to sideline and run like a deer. He struggles at the point of attack when taking people on. He's also not a great tackler. They will get a really good athlete who can play any of the three LB spots....consistency and toughness will be the areas to watch with this kid.
Uh oh, will Johnson play like Jane?

Oh and.. instead of telling aaron rodgers stories about past draft people waiting... how about some analysis on what teams are looking at.. instead of 7 minutes of commercials and a 3 minute story then.. gasp.. hey they are picking.. who you think they are taking?

I'd settle for them doing something like say... discussing who the current team up is looking at.. which they stopped doing at about pick 10

At this point in the draft do team really need all 15 minutes to decide? Does anybody ever have a pick ready to go when it is their turn and get up there in a couple minutes?

Cody has slipped quite a bit lately due mostly to a mediocre performance at the pro-day as well as concerns over his bout with clinical depression a few years back. Also, there are questions about his size (he's a little thin).

I think he'll fall to the end of the 1st round - beginning of 2nd round, but whoever takes him will be getting a very good pass-rusher.

I'm kind of looking forward to seeing Rodgers drop the second round, then awkwardly pose for photos holding a #1 jersey.

That would be strange...it's weird how high Campbell's stock has risen. He was pretty average as a JR.

I'm getting excited with the possibility of Mark Clayton or Roddy White sliding down to Pittsburgh. I thought the Cowboys would take one of the two, for sure.

I like the James pick, though I'm still not completely sold on him. A D-line with Udeze, Williams, and James with someone like Darion Scott at tackle should be good on passing downs.

No doubt about Dallas' tranformation to the 3-4 now. As an OU fan, I would've loved to see them take Clayton, but...

That said, I think Spears is a good pick. I feel much more comfortable with him actually than I do with Ware, but maybe that's because I've seen much more of Spears.

I would question now what'll happen with Greg Ellis and/or LaRoi Glover. Both are small in the down position in a 3-4. With Ferguson and Spears presumably manning two of the three spots, one of Ellis or Glover becomes either trade bait or a mere rotation guy.

What does Matt Jones do as a rookie for the Jags? Any predictions?

I'm personally glad because I was worried the Steelers might take him.
