I was browsing a group for my old elementary school and saw that my best friend from childhood, who I haven't seen in 20 years, is on facebook. I sent him a friend request, and he wrote back to ask how I was doing and what a lovely family I had.

That was a week ago. I never got around to acknowledging his note in any way.

So apparently, I'm now that Facebook guy.

I have some right now that I don't know who the hell they are that are waiting for me to confirm -- I'm wondering of they're from here.

You mean you don't let random strangers become your facebook friend?

I've gotten quite a few friend requests from people that I assume are from here. I figured out Hoops, Lorena, and Lathum (because they told me), but I also have a Tim, John, and Sunny that I can't figure out.

Any help?

I indeed vouch for being the previously mentioned Sunny, and the random stripper.

I joined the face.

Is there any way to change your relationship status without having it broadcast to all your friends? I see the "remove relationship status" checkbox in the privacy settings, but I'm assuming that doesn't cover changing or adding a relationship status.

I don't believe you can prevent that from being broadcast

This screwed me over. Changed my relationship status, even thought I removed it from the newsfeed (by clicking the little 'x' - turns out that just removes it from my feed), came in to work on Monday and everyone is phoning me up asking me what happened.

Edit: Or, after looking, how many of them are in Atlanta and have (for me at least) five mutual friends.

I released my first Facebook app officially today. It's really just a rudimentary version of a game I co-created in the late 1990s online. Here's the description:

Quote:
The National Government Simulation is a game where your voice counts! Add ideas to make the country -- or the world -- a better place. Have your friends vote on your ideas, propose new ones and more! The more people you add, the more people who vote on your ideas, the better your score.

It's intentionally simple to draw an audience. So check it out..if you want. Even if you don't want, add it anyway, the more active users, the better.
