I have very little faith in Kerry Colins. I see him throwing an interception to give the game to the Pats.

He has a great arm but he is always throwing it to the guy in the wrong colored jersey he has more ints than tds.

I still like Corey Dillon over Lamont Jordan. Tom Brady vs Kerry Collins ? I don't see the raiders offense being all that great sure they have speed and depth at wideout. I need to see them do it to believe it. I would also give the Pats and edge on defense too.

27-13 Pats imho Randy Moss have 6 catches for 86 yards and 1 touchdown and 4 temper tantrums on the sidelines.

I don't think anyone remembers Kerry Collins leading the Giants to a Superbowl.

He had a "good" year, and was lucky to be surrounded by a very solid running game and outstanding defense.

Wife is monopolyzing the TV tonight, so I'm counting on you guys for updates in the game... It's at times like this that I wish I married a sports fan.

With only one TV in this hotel room and only 1 in the apartment that we are moving into tomorrow, the deal is that I watch football most of Sunday and Monday night so I can't complain too much about her getting the TV tonight.

Why is your game on tape delay?

Man, I hate the entertainment crap that is coming into sports league. At least in hockey during intermissions, they have little kids play hockey for alittle bit.

Just curious, what is your wife watching?

Sounds like a fair deal. Can you listen it to online, or use of the tracker things?

I'm planning on trying to follow it online via NFL.com or a similar site. She is currently watching Shark Tale on HBO (despite having watched it before with me.)

SirFozzie, is the quality good on Field Pass? If so, I think I'm going to purchase it now as I'm fairly sure I'll have to listen to quite a few good games this year rather than watch them.

Don't know. I've lived here for 17 years and every game that was on ABC during the week (games on Sat/Sun would be shown live) would be tape delayed.

It also seems to be only football that is tape delayed. When ABC was showing the Stanley Cup Finals, they would show that live.

So what are they showing instead of football? Ellen Degeneres, 1 hr of Judge Judy, local news, and then ABC world report.

I think I just saw Randy Moss block a little bit on the opening run by Jordan.

Is it just me, or does he have a very odd fake-handoff stance?

From what I can tell without seeing the game, it seems like Oakland just shredded NE's defense on the opening drive. Very interesting.

Either he or the back was just out of position on that one play, which is why it looked so silly.

Lamont Jordan looked great on that drive, I always loved him here in New York.

That whole drive looked effortless for the Raiders, nice way to start.

you guys didn't hear? It's a new rule in the rulebook. The Pats have to spot every team they play against an opening-drive TD this year, in order to give the other teams a fair chance. It's our new handicap, ya know?

TE Ben Watson is looking pretty damn good. Two huge catches on third down.

bad throw by brady

edit: i predict the raiders won't score more than 14/17 this game. The D will adjust and tighten up, if not on this coming drive, then on the one immediately after.

and the Pats offense will get in rhythm. 27-17 still my guess.

I think they've just been clarifying blocking assignments, not actually changing the play.

He's overthrowing a bit. Little too much adrenaline in the first game of the season. He'll get over it by next drive.

The first was clearly an overthrow, the second might have been Daniel Graham making the wrong read on his route, and I got the feeling the third was intentional - a throw that either his guy would catch orwould go out the back of the endzone - but he threw that ball hard.

And I'm no Brady apologist, I hate the freakin' Patriots.
