I like the idea of scanning the senior officers and doctor first.
Like I mentioned last night, water is going to be important and I would like to see those who are not assigned to fixing the engine sent out on an away mission. Also, I think it will be smart for one of us to guard the water plant. -Security Chief Kingfc22

Dr. Vince, ready for action.
Seems like a good idea to scan the higher-ups first, just to be sure. I'm going to be out at work most of today, I'll be back around 5 PM PST, so that should be plenty of time to catch up and figure out a vote. Since I won't be here, I'm going to send in my day action already, however.

Agreed. Seems to make the most sense to do it this way to make sure whoever is giving us orders is clean. Quote:
I agree and as a private would be happy to go on an away mission to find some water.

The crew seems a little unsure of itself at first. Most sit, semi-stunned. Finally a couple of crew members decide to get down to work.
First you see Dr. Vince take your captain into his office. A few hours later the two men emerge from the room. Shortly after the examiniation begins you see Saldanna begin work on the engine room. |

Darn saldana, no one ordered that. Mr. Wednesday and Mr.Bug, get to work and help him in the engine room.
Kwhit, form up an away team at your discretion. Man, my butt hurts.

Kwit, I happily volunteer for an away mission, its the least I can do as a private--I don't really have much else to offer.

Everyone gives Captain Enthusiast a bit of space after his exam. Clearly the exam agitated him a great deal. So it comes as no surprise when the Captain issues his daily orders in a rather more gruff voice than normal.
Mr. Wednesday and Mr. Bug you are here by ordered to begin repairs on the engine room. KWhit I want you leading an away team mission. That is all for now. The three crewmen scramble to preform their duties while the rest of the crew lets out a sigh of relief that the Captain's attention hasn't turned to them while he is in such a foul mood Just a reminder: Any actions, except voting and sleeping, in order to be official must be PM'ed to me. Officers may issue "strongly worded requests" but it is not official unless I post it. |

So AE has been scanned. I would suggest that RA scan KWhit next.

At first nothing seems out of the ordinary. King comes up to Captain Enthusiast and whispers something in his ear. The two men immeadiately leave, but many an eyebrow are raised when instead of going into the Captain's ready room they instead adjourn to the interrogation room.

Re-reading the rules to see who the best group would be to take on the mission. I think I definitely want to include the scientist Dub. Does anyone have any strategic thoughts on this?

Just a note here, Ardent and myself (all the officers, actually) only have a few action points, so we can't issue orders to everyone. I think we will strategically suggest things instead whenever possible.

Well, who gets the final word, Kwhit or Ardent? Unless told otherwise I'll be waiting for Ardent's OK before I send stuff in.

It should stand that any ranking officer can tell you to do something. If a higher ranking officer tells you to do something else (IE, me) then you'll do that instead.

What Ardent said. He has the final word. I just want to make sure that something doesn't get missed cause people are only around at certain times, etc. For the obvious things like the engineers all working on the engine room today (since nothing else is damaged, it made sense to go ahead and suggest it). But other strategic choices I want us to talk out as much as possible before orders/suggestions are made so we don't make mistakes. |

With the Captain out of the way for the moment the crew relaxes and things pick up. Jeff joins the repair efforts underway in the Engine Room. Meanwhile Blade posts a list of people who will enter into protective custody that night: lathum, saldana, pennywise, and passacaglia. Finally Raiders Army comes out of Sickbay with a chart in his hands. After hearing of their Captains examination, everyone silently hopes that it is not his name that will be called. Everyone, is relieved, and several even chuckle, when they learn that it is their doctor Vince who will have to be prodded now. Quick note: I will be leaving shortly and will be away from the computer until between 7 and 7:30 Eastern. Please feel free to continue to send in orders, however. |
