Well, it's pretty obvious what this thread is about from its title, so if it's a non-issue for you, you may just not want to click on this thread anymore.

Obviously you've confused this thread with yourself & rkmsuf and the rest of the Patriot apologists.

If it bothers you so much, I bet you could find a good book on Amazon.com or something.

In the grand scheme of things, it really isn't a big deal as Maple Leafs said. But it DOES speak to the type of person Belichick is. He was told by at least two people including the referee that there was time left on the clock and yet he still hauled is sorry ass to the locker room and left his team, of which he is supposedly the leader, out there by themselves. Yes the final snap was a formality but you don't leave your team out there like that.

Yes, and yet Tony Dungy openly approves of (and speaks for) the persecution of gays, and hes a wonderful person.

Way to buy totally into the media line.

Is this a relevation to anyone, though? If you follow the NFL at all, you already know that Belichick is a low character individual...nothing that happened last night should alter the public perception of him. I mean, walking off the field before the game ends is something that fits his profile.

It's funny how a big thing these days is about how these people should have class when they're on the field or in interviews or whatever. Players get all kinds of flack for end zone celebrations and dancing on other teams' logos and taunting and all that stuff. A coach, however, disrespects not only the champions but his own defense, and that's somehow OK. I'd rather see a guy dance after a sack when his team's down 30 points. At least the dance could look ridiculous and give us a laugh.

I kind of feel bad for you. Your NFL fandom has been reduced to waiting on every mistake Bellichick makes, and then jerking off over a message board.

Why? Because the media tells you that? This is the same guy who pulled a man out of a burning car on I93. This is the same guy who holds a session every tuesday where ANYONE can come and watch him break down film. This is the same guy whose players adore him, and the same guy who players will take pay cuts to play for.

Atleast hes not out advocating the beating of gays, like Tony Dungy.

Isn't it a little much now? Maybe there's some history between you two I'm not aware of, but so far you've called him poor, and now this, because, god forbid, he disagrees with you. How is that any "classier" than leaving a football field with 1 second left??? How does this not make you a bigger asshole than Belichick?

Multiple choice - This is getting more attention than those other examples because:

a.) It's the Patriots, and everyone is against them
b.) It was the freaking Super Bowl

You think the answer is a.)? Really?

I think they're both reasons. Why was there almost no press when the Packers got caught cheating this year (giving bounties), and yet months of Spygate?

Where did you find it? How small was it?

I guess the media totally spun Belicheat walking off the field. He was probably just trying to get to his postgame press conference to help the media!!!

So this perception of Belichick is unfair, even when he does things like he did last night to cement it even further...? What am I missing here?

I think it's a combination. If Bellichick did this at a game in the regular season, I still think people would make a big issue out of it. So It's definitely partly A, though mostly B.

Bounties are cheating? Nice stretch there.

The difference? Every team offers bounties, not every team video tapes the opposing team calling in their plays in violation of league rules.

Oh, not every team give up a 1st rounder to be labeled as the biggest choke artists of all time either

You are absolutely delusional. The media isn't portraying him as an ass. He IS an ass, and a world-class one at that. He is the reason people hate the Pats. Well, that and a vocal segment of the Patriots fanbase.

now leaving the stadium before the clock runs out = rushing out to shake hands?

Riiiiight

you know Belicheat personally so please expouse on his personal character and show us that unlike every other NFL team he never offered bounties.

But again, try and take the focus of your choke artists and onto another team another time.

No, the patriots kicked a field goal with 6 seconds left. The clock was stopped at 0:01.
