Thanks. I'm guessing as admin there may be a way to do it? Not a huge deal, but without a shortlist, I could have trouble in the transfer market. |

For those who haven't looked at the holiday options:
We(well, CW anyway) can set the players not there on holiday, with these options as instructions: Apply for managerial positions at higher reputation clubs Accept All offers for players Only Accept offers matching asking price Reject All offers Only Sell Transfer listed players (This is available as an option on all the above) Bid for Players on your shortlist Do not bid on any players Use Current Match tactics Use current Team Selection when possible CW will need your password to do all this I believe. |

For the first week if you send CW a shortlist he can create your ID, set it to use that shortlist, set the options, and then go on holiday.
That's asking a lot of him if there are a lot of people not there the first week however. Last edited by ausonny : 08-30-2006 at 09:52 PM. |

Cool. Were basically full up, meaning human players are definitely getting promoted and relegated. Let the razzing begin after season 1.

Dola.
This sunday, if you *can*, get on earlier than 8 CST. I about guarantee there will be issues with at least a few people connecting, etc. Like to get those out of the way as quickly as possible. |

This is going to be awesome, or it's going to crash and burn.
I'm voting the former. My Rovers will be enjoying life in the Championship before you know it, in case you were wondering.

I am going to kill you guys with kindness in the media. It's going to be a looovefest when you guys play Swindon. If my players can't handle playing for the nicest guy in the world, they'll just have to deal with it. I'll be praising you guys left and right. It'll be fantastic.
Yes, it's all part of my plan...

IIRC from looking last night, Blackpool should have a decent defense. Other than that, we're screwed

Interesting results. No clue how my bunch of no skills assclowns (aka Swansea) could get to 6th place though... FM

Five teams within four points of one another, all controlled by human players. The relegation battle should be fun - especially given that Oldham aren't anywhere near it.

After seeing these results and looking at every team's board expectations, and seeing that the Nottm Forest board expects them to win the series title, I would say that Vinatieri for Prez is the dude with the most pressure on his shoulder to perform this season

After perusing my roster, I must ask... can you play 14 year olds in league competition? My #4 striker looks to be a 14 year old. Probably not good.
On the other hand, my wingers and keeper look solid, so I've got that.

If we can work out where the chat is going to be beforehand, that would be nice, as I don't have a chat thing on my computer, so I'll have to get one if there's going to be a special chat. Or I may have to use my wife's stuff.

okay, here's what I had gathered about all the teams. I added the FOFCer in charge next to each of them. Both budgets are in US dollars and the wages are weekly.
I sorted them by expected league finish more or less. I learned this past season in my Luton career that "respectable league position" is better than 7th, as I finished 7th and my board was disappointed with the team's performance, heh. I also realized there were two sort of relegationg related goals, "stay clear of" and "fight bravely against". Quite a few teams had the goal of "investing in new players and start rebuilding the team" although I have now clue as to what kind of league position expectation this could lead to so I put them right after the "safe mid-table" finishers... No kidding, add that to an extremely low wage budget for me. My squad actually looks pretty solid, luckily, so I won't need to bring in an entire new first team. |

Can you be fired by the chairman in a network game? Just curious. I think that would be good. Although if I don't win, it might be me.

Yeah, you can. With the whole league being human players, I'd be shocked to see us all last the season with our original clubs. Firings, maybe some managers getting hired by better clubs, contracts not getting renewed, etc. |

before seeing cschex's answer I thought "heck, why not". I mean, everybody will have to deal with his own board and their expectations, and also with their players and their own expectations. I'm still not sure how far we will get into the season and how fast it will go. I mean, It usually takes me a solid two weeks to play a season in single player mode and I play 1-2 hours a night. Now, 2 hours a week, that would translate to over 14 weeks, probably more like six months (up to 26 weeks). We'll see as we go I guess... Looking forward to this very much. FM
