Game MVP was Joe Thornton. 17-2-2008 Alexei Ponikarovsky reaches career high ! Alexei Ponikarovsky marked a new career high in points with 48 after scoring in tonights game against Colorado Avalanche on a feed by Carlo Colaiacovo. I've seen my idols break records and now I am doing the same, our record breaker told a Hockey Night in Canada reporter. Hehe….. 18-2-2008 Beat Colorado very easily 4-1…..The cup champs looked like nothing against the team they beat last year….The Leafs are looking so amazing this year…..Tellqvist has lost 4 games in 45 starts……. 4-3-2008 NYR-NAS trade New York Rangers traded right wing Jan Hlavac to Nashville Predators for right wing Jonas Andersson 6-3-2008 Mike Grier claimed off waivers. #1  vs. #8 We want revenge from our first round series in the 05-06 season #2  vs. #7 Go Islanders #3  vs. #6 Fleury came up halfway through the season, and carried the Pens....now can he win in the playoffs.... #4  vs. #5 2 storied rivals meet again #1  vs. #8 Anaheim is dominant....last years champs barely get in... #2  vs. #7 It's been a while either of these teams have made the postseason #3  vs. #6 The battle of Alberta continues...at least the Oilers dont have to face the wings again...... #4  vs. #5 does anyone really care about this series.... I would love a Leafs/Wings final...but that will probably never happen, because it would be too good....Im still waiting for Curtis to play in Toronto, so we can boo him.....

The only reason I like Jordan Tootoo is because of the way he played during the world juniors last year....he was a force....I haven't really seen him play in the NHL as Nashville doesn't get much attention in Toronto.....

Yeah, I think its more of how the Nashville fans think that he wins every fight that he gets in to that drives me crazy, which is probably right, because he runs away from any fighters that are halfway decent. David Ling, one of our guys who gets called up from Syracuse (I think b/c of the whole PEI [Prince Edward Island] group in Columbus, but that's another story) always fights guys a lot bigger than he is, which means he doesn't win a lot, but he doesn't run scared. I guess the best thing I've seen is a fan of ours that brought a ballerina tutu to the game and put "Tootoo" on the back.

The Stanley Cup Champions Toronto Maple Leafs were celebrated in their hometown with grand festivities today. The Stanley Cup was driven through the town in a parade and the fans were chanting the team's name every time captain Owen Nolan lifted the Cup above his head. The mayor of the town greeted the players on a stage with the media surrounding them as masses of loyal Toronto Maple Leafs fans chanted the names of Todd Marchant and Mikael Tellqvist. Thanks Sachmo, ever see a game at Maple Leaf gardens, cuz that was an experience.....you southern fans unfortunatly wont ever get a chance to enjoy a game in a place like that since all the original buildings are gone.....btw, Im rooting for Dallas over Colorado, though it don't look to good right now

Vezina- Mikael Tellqvist, Tor STANLEY CUP- TORONTO We resigned Todd Marchant right after the parade….He did win the Conn Smythe, so I felt I owed him…he signed a 1-year deal for 3.25mil…. 17-6-2009 NHL all-star teams were announced….and for some reason….The 2-time defending Vezina, and Jennings winner, Mikael Tellqvist wasn’t on the 1st or 2nd team…..how can anyone take these teams seriously…..Greg Spicer was a 1st team, all-rookie team winger….Deadmarsh was 2nd team….. NHL DRAFT Being held this year in the home of the Stanley Cup Champs…Toronto, Ontario… #1- Buffalo Sabres select Ron Litwak #2- Detroit Red Wings select George Mayer #3- Washington Capitals select Darby Peterson Leaf picks… #7 (Dallas trade)- Erik Corson 5*, all around offensive player #57- Murray Dunn 4*, stay at home defenseman #87- Matt Sampson 4*, all around offensive player #117- Sergei Krasnov 4*, physical dman #126- Pielgrzym Nwiciutie- If this guy ever makes it, its gonna be a nightmare continuing the dynasty…. #127- Kjril Shanen, 4*, all around offensive player #147- Mark Vyrubov 4*, could be an absolute steal…he’s 6’6, and already a 65 in defense… Very happy with the lower end of this draft….which will help us as im trying to rebuild the system….theres pretty much nothing left now other then Rusovsky, as Seitsonsen seems like a bust |

Never been to Canada...but there is time. I have a buddy who lives in Rochester, so when I go to visit him, I'm sure I'll be making my first trip to Canada, and you can bet I'm going to see a game.
