Well, since we're still waiting for more team owners to start drafting, let's rate the #1 overall pick:
The Afoci A bold selection to get the draft started. Here's how our panel of experts (that would be myself, a stapler, and a half eaten Baby Ruth candy bar) rate this pick: Number of posts: Well over 3,600. Respectable, but not Kickstand-esque. We'll call this a 7 Overall recognition: He's visible enough to be known on most of the forums - even over in Hattrick. Definately a 9 Community contribution: He gets points for good humor and dynasty contributions, but this category is typically reserved for guys who do big things like moderate a forum or write utilites, etc. So, basically, he's got nothing. 4 Insightfulness: I'm sure animal lovers consider his work a must-read. This one's a 6 Publicity: I don't know about you, but I always want to read threads he's posting in. He's like one of those lunatics that runs around in the street wearing a lime green leotard while carrying on a conversation with a chinchilla wearing nylons; you can't help but look. 10 Overall Score: 36 |

Should we be concerned that you are not only our agent, but also the first pick in this draft? And should be worried that Shorty is the only official owner in this draft? Just wondering.

Coffee Warlord is a complete poster on the board. When it comes to the FranklinNoble breakdown, CW should provide you with numerous points. At 2600 post, he is contributor that cannot be denied. The man is well known for his pic with a hat. His recognition is through the roof. Not only that, he has taken down two companies in as many years. Give or take. Not only that, at well over 7'6", 953 lbs with 3% body fat, this man runs the 40 in well under three seconds. But 40 feet really isn't that far...
Coming tomorrow or later tonight, the breakdown of Noop, The Herd and John Galt.

I shall declare myself ineligible for the remaining of the draft, and make the 2nd selection (assuming there will 10 "owners", this may take a while) of the Member draft.
I select terpkristin, better known as TK in the HT forum. I would have went with the Warlord, however, there are 2 issues: 1. The Afoci is his agent. 2. TK is a female. CW is not.

Ah well...i better pick before they are all gone...
With the third pick in the draft, i will select: Quicksand...the man is a legend around here and #1 poster(though half his got deleted)...he is a master of running games, and his posts are always helpful, insightful, or make a strong point. Who else will pick?

And with the second overall pick of the draft, ardent enthusiast selects:
terpkristen Terpkristen?!? Wow... I mean, wow. That's either a Wilt Chamberlain pick or a Doug Christie pick... Either he's trying to get some, or he already is, and he wants to keep getting it... or he's just being a nice guy and we can take that at face value. Anyhow, here's our expert analysis: Number of posts: I dunno. Somebody look this up for me. I'm guessing we'll rate this a 4 Overall recognition: Practically unheard of outside the Hattrick forum. Sorry, but this has to be a 3 Community contribution: I'm assuming she must be making some contribution, at least to AE. 4 Insightfulness: She's solid when it comes to what she does post about. We'll call it a 9 Publicity: Ahh, the great equalizer. Let's face it, she's a woman, and all it would take is one bikini photo to make her very, very popular.10 Overall Score: 31 |

With the third overall pick, Blade6119 selects:
QuikSand Definately worthy of a top 3 pick, and maybe should have gone higher. Here's our rating: Number of posts: Come on... he's lost more posts than most of us will ever make. 10 Overall recognition: He's everywhere, just about... although I don't think he does Hattrick. Do we hold that against him? Maybe just a little bit...9 Community contribution: Not only are his posts numerous, they're usually purposeful. And who doesn't like the puzzles? His strategic contributions to the FOF players here have been substantial. 9 Insightfulness: I've never seen him post anything stupid, and some of his stuff is genius. 9 Publicity: One of the respected elders of the board. 10 Overall Score: 47 |

with the fourth pick of the first round, I have decided to choose......
Kodos I think he will make a great addition to our team. You can't go wrong with an alien here, and we are certain he can shake and bake with all of those tentacles. Besides he can probably tackle someone from 3 feet away.

Calm down, Shorty. Ten teams. You have to wait. Convince 6 more people to choose someone. Or create 6 log ins.

Shoot, why not. With the fifth selection of the first round, team JeeberD selects SkyDog. Not only is he the beloved mod and underwear model, but he posts great Dynasties and contributes stratagy-wise to the forum. His only downside is that he's a Threadkiller Hater...

jeeberD: you have the fifth pick, I had the fourth pick.
I think you made a mistake drafting skydog so early, he was a late first-rounder at best.

John Galt---1500 post that are mostly logical. That excludes all Yankee posts... The mans humor is second to none, as he is one of the biggest Big Lebowski fans ever. Plus I heard he is a Nihilist.
The Herd---1600 posts and a Former North Dakotan. That is a very big positive. I am also fairly sure the man is in the military and has to ability to kill you if you don't pick him. Noop--- This would be like adopting a grammatically challenge kid. He comes with a beef already, and some say he has a beefcake option. He is full of smiley's and at one time was consider bonafide. He's bonafide.

With the fourth overall pick, Airhog selects:
Kodos Not the pick I expected - we had him as a late first rounder. Number of posts: Over 4,100. Half of them polls, but that's all good. 8 Overall recognition: Well known for his cameo appearances on a FOX sitcom.8 Community contribution: He's actually cut down on the number of polls he posts - that's a contribution to the community. 7 Insightfulness: You can't put a number on the value of an alien perspective, but we're doing it anyway. 7 Publicity: Another respected elder, but maybe for an alien, he's not that old. 9 Overall Score: 39 |

With the fifth overall pick, JeeberD selects:
SkyDog We think that there must be some off-the-field problems that dropped SkyDog as far as number 5, because the early projection had him no lower than 3rd. Here's the rating: Number of posts: Over 5,700 - but he could give himself as many as he likes. 9 Overall recognition: No contest. He's the H.N.I.C. 10 Community contribution: Again, no contest. 10 Insightfulness: Sorry, but you're losing points for being a thread-killer hater, and for killing the QOTM. 6 Publicity: He can throw you in the penalty box whenever he likes, and he looks good in a patriotic speedo. 10 Overall Score: 45 Last edited by Franklinnoble : 02-06-2004 at 11:12 AM. |

Actually, I think I did give you too low of a score for community contribution. I had forgotten that you're the "Golden Scribes" boy. So, give yourself another point or two. Or whatever. It's not like these scores really mean anything, unless you're under the impression that we're all going to get together and play a modified rules version of Advanced Dungeons and Dragons with our FOFC draftees, in which case JeeberD's level 45 SkyDog might have a distinct advantage over Airhog's level 39 Kodos. |
