Yep. Hopefully, they can at least finish strong. Although, Oakland just got creative and had a big play to give me a small glimmer of hope. |

That sucks for Carnell "Cadillac" Williams, looks like he may have hurt his knee again.

Yeah, the worst part about the whole thing was CBS had the boom mic guy right around that area where Williams got tackled, and you could literally hear him scream in pain. You've got to feel for the guy - if it's the same knee, his career is probably over. |

YES! Bucs fail to convert a 4th and 4. Now, we just need Oakland to score.

Packers go up 10 on the Lions with 8 and change remaining.
Who thought we'd see a 16-0 regular season get followed the next year by an 0-16 regular season when neither had happened before? |

Tampa's horrible, they might have worse playcalling than the Eagles. Throw a 3 yard pass on 4th and 4? Comon.
Jeff Garcia looks completely washed up. |

At first glance, it looks like his second foot landed out of bounds.
*edit Is there a bigger oil-water announcing combo than Kevin Harlan and Rich Gannon? They seem to hate each other. Last edited by Philliesfan980 : 12-28-2008 at 02:49 PM. |

The Vikings don't look like a team that wants to win this game.

I'm surprised how bad the teams with something to play for are doing today. Minnesota trailing, Chicago trailing, Tampa Bay trailing, Atlanta failing to destroy St. Louis and now Carolina starting to choke a huge lead. Only New England managed to do what needs to be done, so far.

No way is there any convincing evidence to overturn that call. He has the ball securely in his hands while his right foot is still down before he even takes the 1st step.

Matt Ryan picked a heck of an odd time to turn back into a rookie QB.

31-30 saints with 3:11 to go. Brees is now about 16 yards away from the passing record.

As an Eagles fan, I desperately want the Eagles to lose today. A change needs to be made, and nothing's going to happen if they sneak in to the wild card.

GOD DAMN I love Steve Smith so much. Leaping catch in double coverage to keep a drive going. Delhomme limping after getting hit though.

Does Carolina still get a first round bye if they lose or does someone else have a shot at that?

Be nice for Brees to get another 17 yards and set the single season passing record.

Went back and read MIJB's predictions and I'm still not sure. Who gets the wild-cards if Chicago and Tampa lose? Dallas and Philly with an Eagles win, Dallas and Tampa with an Eagles loss?

No, that's not the play either. I would agree that Kolb most likely isn't the answer. We need to clean house and rebuild. I'm okay with a few 5-11 seasons to get some fresh blood in here. We're old in so many key positions, that I think its time. |

I just don't get this. We've had two of our top WR's banged up all year. We've had our best offensive linemen out for the year, yet the team is in contention for the playoffs. Reid is a heck of a coach, even with his distractions, and McNabb is a great QB. Eventually, this team will have to be rebuilt, but next year isn't that time. If Andrews can get his problems behind him, Curtis and crew can stay healthy, and they have a good draft, then the Eagles could be dangerous next year. Heck, they could surprise a team or two in the playoffs this year. However, if they show up flat with everything that has happened to keep them alive, then I agree with you that some changes need to be made.

huge powerful 9 yard run from DeAngelo Williams to get Carolina down to the Saints 21 to make the upcoming FG attempt much simpler.

Atlanta and Carolina have clinched playoff spots, so one of those is a wild card. I think if Chicago and Tampa lose then Philly/Dallas becomes winner is in, loser is out. I'm not 100% sure on that though. |

I do agree that the team is old and will need to be rebuilt in the future, I just don't think that it is necessary to do that next year.
