Texas answers Kansas State's TD, tied up 7-7 in the 1st quarter.

Chiles has looked good for the Texas O in his Tim Tebow style role.

UMass misses a FG, still down 10. Backup QB in, 15 penalties committed, an ongoing problem the past few years.

Sadly, UMass blows a great drive by missing a field goal. BC still up 24-14 with 8:22 left.

Game of momentum in GT-Clemson early - GT QB Taylor Bennett gets his foot stepped on on the first play and turns it over, which Clemson turns into 3 points... three dropped passes by Tech receivers, and 25 penalty yards on 4 penalties in the first 10 minutes.

Then a blocked Clemson punt recovered inside the ten, the Clemson CB gets flagged for PI in the end zone, and Tech has first and goal at the 2.

Oh, and an update from last week - Correy Earls, the GT wide receiver who was on the ground for so long last week at Virginia has recovered very well. UVa Medical Center did a great job (and earned some great comments from Gailey + the GT staff, as did Coach Groh), the injury was essentially pretty severe whiplash, and Earls was back in class on Monday. He'll probably be back on the field in a few weeks.

TD Choice, who has looked good early (with a couple 10+ yard runs called back for illegal formation penalties earlier). 7-3 GT

Miami (OH) up 7-0 on Syracuse in the 2nd quarter. Syracuse offense is struggling against a real team.

BC wins 24-14. Silly penalties killing us again, but at least we can lay off the Matt Ryan for Heisman talk for a week.

Colorado is dominating Oklahoma in the second half. Total yards are 176 to 53. One play after missing a FG, the CU defense gets an INT. CU ball at the OU 43 yard line. 24-`7 OU, 6:43 or so left in the game.

CU goes three and out (a penalty nullified a third down conversion) Punt to OU, the OU player doesn't call a fair catch and drops it. CU ball at the 12.

Ugh. K-State D lineman jumps to block a pass, gets the INT for a pick 6.

Taz,

If you haven't watched any of the game til now, you have no idea how sweet that play was. CU has been running this strange formation play all day. Thge backs sit in an I formation behind one of the tackles. A CU WR goes in motion and fakes a reverse while CU hands the ball to the tail back on a goofy looking counter play. The play has carved up OU for most of the game.

This time they faked the handoff and threw the ball down the field. TD CU. 24-24 with 4:05 left to play in the game.

I'm REALLY going ot love having Cody Hawkins for four years. He's a better QB than Koy Detmer was. He's so rail thin I just hope he can stay healthy. Great game for the Buffs either way, but I sure hope they pull off the upset here.

I have no reason to expect that the Terps will keep it up, but the score is Maryland 14 - Rutgers 3 late in the 2nd quarter.

not a clue. The one angle looked like incomplete, the other looked fine. Should be OU first down. CU makes a stop thouh. OU forced to punt.

Colorado just resigned themselves to a FG attempt from 40+...I think that's a poor coaching decision right there...at least try to get in a bit closer.

OU makes a stop. It'll be the CU kicker for the GW FG. 45 or 46 yarder for the game. If he misses, it's going to OT. Only 2 seconds left in the game.

FG Buffs!

That takes a bit of the sting out of Texas tying the game up, then giving up a return for a TD on the kickoff.

USC laughs in the face of anyone who voted OK #1.

Better start readying the nooses all across Oklahoma. They have a bright future, though.

Colorado with a "signature win" (god I hate that cliche)

Unbelievable win for the Buffs. With the Bulls winning last night and the Buffs beating the high and mighty Sooners (snicker), this is a good week for college fb. Now if the Pads can win, everything would be perfect today.

Yep. I don't disagree, but if there was ever a cliche fit for a game, this is it.

Just an FYI for those not familiar with the CU program: CU has more FR and SO getting quality time than ND. This includes 3 of the five OL, the QB, 2 of the top 3 WR, the backup RB, and plenty of guys on the defensive side of the ball.

It's just one win and the program still has to build off of it, but WHAT A WIN. The future looks very, very good.

Another INT leads to a KSU field goal jsut before the half, 24-14 now.

Meanwhile Clemson has put together a nice steady drive down the field, under a minute in the half but they're threatening to retake the lead over GT (still 7-3 Jackets at the moment).

Texas down 10 at the half. KSU looks like they spent their two weeks preparing for this game well. Texas has been a great second half team this season. They will need to answer, as they get the second half kickoff. McCoy took a big hit on that last INT, so it remains to be seen if he will be starting the second half.

Boy, really tough loss for OU. It just looked like a different team out there. They had no fire at all, were dropping balls left and right and made mistake after mistake. Just unreal...

Clemson has missed two FGs in the first half - Tech still leads 7-3. The Clemson offense rolled pretty well on a very long drive right up to the end of the half, but a Spiller TD was called back for a personal foul, and the FG was missed.

Fucking Reggie Smith! Now we know why you play on defense!

All I kept hearing on the local sports talk radio show this week was that there was no way that CU scores more than 13 on OU's defense. This had trap game written all over it and nobody saw it. I felt like I was the only one thinking that in the entire state.

The only thing that can slightly brighten my day now is that K-State can pull off the upset against Texas. *sigh*
