I wish I could have a wife or two. Thought about moving to Colorado City and finding one. I'm not a very good cook and need someone to cook for me. I clean pretty well, but it would be nice to have someone to do it when I don't feel like it.... |

I've heard that rationale used by a few mormon women actually. Just recently I was informed by a rather attractive mormon lass that they don't actually believe in polygamy just merely polygyny. *SIGH* What I really wouldn't have minded is if she practiced polyandry but no, I was not so lucky.... Relax, just google it and you'll be fine.

On the Should we have a political forum..I say no. It might seriously impact the number of regular viewers of the general forum. It wouldn't get visited or used to boot. And it would cause problems when threads migrate into the political arena pretty much on their own accord. It happens.
I don't understand the phenomenon of a thread being ruined either though. That seems to be a common theme among many of those that support a new forum. I figure that if someone posts something that you consider inapropriate enough to "ruin" a thread, then you should just ignore it. If that means ignoring the poster, then do so, if you'd rather just ignore their ridiculous posts, then do that. The deal is don't bitch about it. Just live with it and move on. Call the poster a moron, and get on with your life. If a post is in such poor taste as to drive you out of a thread, then it probably isn't even worth responding to. So ignore it. As for the favorite FOFCer bit...I think I once said I wouldn't vote for Farrah if she ran for political office, so I'm probably off the short list for that position. Probably on another list actually. Oh and Farrah. Good luck with the whole labor and delivery thing. For Arlie...the biggest thing I remember about my first is that after 40 someodd hours with only a couple of hours of sleep, I remember going to the hospital room accompanying my wife and a brand new daughter, and thinking "What the hell am I going to do?". My wife was unconscious, she had a C-section, and I was facing the prospect of dealing with the baby for the forseeable future. I was pretty worried...lucky for me the nurses actually took care of everything. So don't worry...You'll figure it out, and if you don't the nurses will set you straight. |

Dola,
Oh and regarding the VPI idea and the stars....I'm actually against that some. I use the "day at the office" template or whatever it is called for a reason. I don't want cute icons or even little bright stars attracting attention to my computer screen. I want it to look professional...period. If the "Day at the office" motif can be left untouched, or if I have some way to opt out of the stars and graphics then I'm all for it. |

Again, one of the many in a long line of things I just don't understand. Guys don't go "well, I'm about to have a heart attack. honey, go stick a fork in the light socket since your cooking did this to me" (and to counter the fact that I had to use the "woman cooking" stereotype, I'll offer up that I do most of the cooking tho my wife is better at baking things).
