I don't know. I'm thinking Philadelphia and then perhaps Richmond? Basically go South and see it that's good

Raven I'm guessing you had the same thing happen to you as happened to me: Ardent clarified that it's US only.

Since all three teams are way north, I think we might be able to eliminate the northern states. Maybe everything north of the Maryland/Penn border?

If any of us get cold by moving south of us, then we seriously narrow down the target area.

I suggest the baseball team flys to San Francisco. That is the closest large city to Seattle that is paralell to the MD/PA border for us.

I'm think the hockey group should fly to Texas and move up from there, we should attack from all sides

Ok something interesting here that might just be a fluke BUT: Hartford and Seattle both had sports teams that moved in the sports mentioned, but I can't think of any for Detroit in football.

I think Barkeep may be on to something here. I just can't imagine we were sent to these cities at random. Perhaps we should go to the cities these teams moved to? As for the football connection, if Detroit never moved, the team that they played St. Louis, did move from Los Angeles. And the team that used to be in St. Louis, moved to Arizona (Phoenix).

Hartford moved to Carolina right? That would be Charlotte. Not sure about where Seattle moved to.

I think this whole moved franchises thing is a red herring. I like the idea of flying short distances to see whether we're hotter or colder. Thomkal, what say you to a trip to my hometown of Grand Rapids, Michigan? Hopefully we don't run into Schmidty!

Pass,

That seems to be a rather short distance. As much as I'd like to see your hometown I still think we were sent to these cities for a reason. I would much rather go to one of the "relocated" cities. Just did a google search and saw Seattle moved to Milwaukee in baseball. So how about Milwaukee then? A little further from Detroit than Grand Rapids. (I think?)

Milwaukee sounds good. It's a bigger city anyway, so it's more likely that johnny would be there.

I would suggest instead of flying all the way to dallas we make a couple of stops along the way. That way we know if we're getting hotter or colder without wasting time.

The group that likes football boarded a plane to Milwaukee. Unfortunately, Ardent Airlines doesn't fly directly to Milwaukee from Detroit, so The group that likes football connects in Chicago. The total trip takes 2.5 hours, and an hour is added to search the surrounding area.

Total time elapsed: 3.5 hours.

I haven't heard from my group members this morning, but I'd like to posit that we fly from Seattle to Phoenix (home of the relocated Winnipeg Jets and relocated St. Louis Cardinals).

I told you we should have flown United Pass! I think I'll wait and see how the other groups first searches go before deciding on a new place to travel.

I just replied to yourr PM.

I think if we fly to Phoenix, and are told we are warmer, then we save some time because we know he is in the south. If we fly to Phoenix and are told we are colder, then we really don't learn anything about his location, and we waste a lot of time.

I say we take a smaller step and fly to San Francisco. That leaves MJ4H to break our tie.

My vote is to San Francisco. However, I do want to note the drawback of smaller moves: an hour will be added to each trip for "searching," apparently. That isn't enough to change my decision on this move, though, but it should be kept in mind when considering an overall strategy.

PS. I may be a bit slow. Still living in a hospital and checking the board from work or when I get a few minutes to run home. I will do my best.

Wait this is pretty significant: Going south and west from Detroit made things get colder. Definitely looks like he's in the east.

I once again suggest that us Hartford people either fly New York or Phildelphia.

I think you should wait until we hear what happened on the trip from Seattle to San Fran. That might help you decide how far south to go.

2 hours later, the group that likes baseball arrived in San Fran. The team looked around for an hour.

Total time: 3 hours.

A trip from Detroit to Chicago would have been warmer, for any of those locations.

dola.

a few weeks ago, somebody from FOFC made one of those mapquest maps where everyone could put their location on the map. Something like that might be incredibly helpful for us here. Anyone know how to set that thing up?

Roger that. Two votes Philly. The group that doesn't like hockey is flying the friendly skies with Ardent Airlines.

The plane lands in Philadelphia one hour later without incident, and the group searches the surrounding area.

Total time: 2 hours.

Boise, Idaho is roughly half way between SF and Seattle. So anything south of Boise is open game.

Baseball team, should we fly to Charlotte, NC? That will allow us to search the south, and also lets us test out the franchise moving theory?

Not that it matters much, but it was Milwaukee, not Chicago Pass and I went to. I can confirm we got a COLD result. Sounds like we need to go west Pass, or South west from Milwaukee. Like St. Louis or KC.

St L and KC are both closer to Milwaukee than they are to Detroit. I think anything west of Milwaukee (except maybe New Orleans) can be eliminated.

Scratch my Charlotte vote. I think that is too long of a trip for us to gamble on. Maybe we should fly to Nashville/Birmingham/Atlanta? Somewhere around that area looks better. It depends on where the football guys in Milwaukee go.

I think the baseball team will no doubt be warmer on our trip, but that doesnt mean anything as we already know he isn't west of Milwaukee.

We got a hot condition as well.

Perhaps the midwest group should fly to Nashville while we go to Washington DC or Richmond?
