You think the Raiders would have learned from last week, but they call the timeout right before the Jets kick it and he missed it.

Feely hits the crossbars in a game for a kick that would have tied the game for the Jets to go to overtime... but wait.. Oakland called a timeout right before the snap.. so feely gets a second chance!
Didn't Oakland already do this once before and it backfired? |

And the second kick is of course good, to force an over time.

YES! On the retry Feely makes it. I don't even care about the Jets, but I just want to see that strategy die.

and that is the end of that fad. Good riddance.
Couldn't have happened to a better team either. The only downside if the Jets win is a week of media masturbation about the Favre comeback. |

Yes, another team trying to use the stupid tactic of taking a timeout just before the snap. Maybe if enough of these dumb fuckers get screwed by this tactic they'll finally quit doing it.

Exactly. I hope the Jets lose because the only Favre news I want to hear about is how he's a traitor. If the Jets win this all we'll hear is "The gunslinger has done it again." Forget his 2 picks this game and that they're winning against atrocious teams. One time Raiders, pull it out.

And in Dallas Roy Williams news, overrated safety Roy Williams is out for the rest of the season after breaking his forearm again. Apparently there is only room for one Roy Williams in Dallas.

Bravo to DirecTV for turning on the Packer game on Sunday Ticket a few minutes after the local channel switched to the Jets-Raiders game.

I have no team-dog in the GB-Indy fight, but Manning's performance this week is thoroughly killing my fantasy team. And my two other fantasy teams have Brees QB. So I am normally very strong at QB, and this week, I am just gonna get schlocked.

NO! Favre threw it right to him! Favre will just keep chucking balls up for grabs in OT like he did when the Packers lost in the playoffs to the Eagles.

Some quality QB play here in the Oakland game. Where's the Wildcat when you need it?

This Tampa Bay/Seattle match up is so unappealing that I am actually watching baseball instead.
This is how non-Lions fans must feel about pretty much every Lions Thanksgiving Day game in the post-Barry Sanders era.

Okay, maybe i fall victim to Madden loving a guy, and I just assume he plays pretty heady football. But last week Witten drew like 3-4 stupid ass penalties, and I guess this would be another one this week. Is he always this reckless? |

Rivers out for the season with a broken jaw. Good thing Ward was there to teach him a lesson! Prick.

I thought that is what gained Hines Ward the title of "Toughest WR in Football"? That block reminds me of several blocks I have seen in the last couple of years on punt returns. I honestly don't know anymore what is a clean hit and what is dirty hit anymore.

You want to have some real fun? Look at Dallas's remaining schedule and then know those three picks are going to Detroit. Add in Dallas being 1-3 as of late and in disarray and it's like a little weekly pick me up for Dallas haters. |

Yeah, me either. Looking at the clip, it looks like a good block, just like the one last week on Reggie Bush's first punt return touchdown. The only difference is the guy's jaw was broken and the guy who threw the block hadn't been fined for plays the week before.

Rivers would have made a tackle on the play. The cheap hit was Troy going helmet to helmet on Benson. I would expect Troy to get fined before ward. Although both will lose some money this week.

Exactly. He hit the guy under his face mask with his fucking helmet. Which is pure bullshit. If he hits him with his shoulder, or drives into him with his arms tucked into his body, or even leading with an elbow a little, it's fine. Rivers maybe gets knocked out, or misses a game or two, or whatever. I would not have a problem with that. But that was a cheap shot, in my opinion. Glad to see Benson dish out the punishment to Polamalu. Maybe ol' Hair can keep his mouth shut and not lead with his FUCKING HELMET all the time. Someday, one of those helmet first hits is going to kill the guy delivering it. And that would be an absolute shame.

I watched most of the Jets-Raiders overtime, and it leaves me wondering something: Just how many "legendary" quarterbacks were practically expected to do something stupid with the game on the line? I know Brett Favre has won a Super Bowl and he's been the league MVP and has great stats and all that, but nobody seems surprised when he chucks the ball right into a defender's chest at crunch time. We're not surprised because we've seen it before, seemingly again and again. Did anyone expect this stuff from Montana or Elway or even Warren Moon? Who wants to cringe every time their starting quarterback throws a pass in overtime? Hell, I wouldn't have even expected that garbage from Bobby Hebert.
I'm not trying to say that Brett Favre is a bad quarterback. He's been a great one. It's just that he's pretty much made a class for himself. It's almost as if he's a great quarterback in spite of himself. Off the top of my head, I can't think of any others like that.
