I swear I am seeing things...I thought for sure the 3rd guy I saw down there celebrating with Moss was #75--which would be Wilfork, right?

The NFL loves the PATS.

1st half, big play. Moss tackles a DB and then leg whips him, and no penality.

Bleh, never mind.

Yeah that was a huge fuck up by the refs. The play calling has been pretty good overall. I think the only other call tha was off was the third down interfernce call that went against the Giants early in the game that kept the Pats first TD scoring drive alive.

Ok, I gotta say it.

Best "meaningless" week 17 game ever. Both teams are fighting to the end.

yeah, forget the call against Moss for celebration of a highly dubious nature that caused teh patriots to kickoff 15 yeas back and the Giants returned it for a score. BOTH teams got screwed tonight. Happens.

Yeah, absolutely great game. I love that they keep the starters in the game and playing to win.

Exactly. It's great.

And the Giants lost Madison to an injury which could effect them next week in the playoffs if it's bad enough.

Leave it to Welker to have a monster game and thus probably take away the chance TJ would lead the league in receptions.

Hey, why else would I care about football tomorrow?

I don't know why they are making such a big deal about the Giants using time. They're close enough that they will be scoring (or otherwise ending the drive) within a short period of time and then they will onside kick it. The clock is irrelevant right now.

Consider who you are listening to. In the copy of 'Play-by-play for Dummies' Gumbal is thumbing through in the booth, it must have an entry about bringing up the clock after every play once inside 5 minutes to play.

It's actually pretty funny listening to the commentators who obviously can see more than one video feed. We watch players standing around, we get to hear Collingsworth change his mind in midsentance as he is watching another screen.

Completely outside of the discussion for this season, but Giants fans have to be happy with Steve Smith's play late today. He'll be pretty good next year.

He's actually been pretty damn good (for a rookie) all year when he has been healthy. He's had a few injuries that have kept him out of some games though.

not according to cris collingsworth. According to him it's meaningless if they don't win the SB

About as good of a game from the Giants as I realstically expected. A close game with a chance to win. Change the outcome of a few plays, and they could have won this.

Of course, they probably gave the Pats one of their toughest games of the year just to get my hopes up for next week and they'll just not show up and get killed by the Bucs.

Meh. Pats need to win it all or all of the hoopla is for naught. Still, pretty freakin' impressive. It just felt like they'd pull it off, even when they were down. Great team to watch. They just get it done.

I agree. I'd rather 10-6 with a bowl over 16-0 without. I never bought the 16-0 hype.

It is kind of weird seeing everyone half-celebrating like they just won something more than a regular season game. I understand, but still.
