Great news. Last night's show wasn't anything special, but they can't all be gems. |

Woohoo!! I'm glad that we may actually be able to see who the mother is! If this was the last season, that may not have happened.

Reading that article, though, it is interesting that they make the case that the show may have broken out to be a hit if it was on Fox rather than CBS. Sounds like an interesting theory, but I'm not sure about that (for one, Fox may have canceled it already).

I'm glad this show is sticking around, but last night's was one of the weaker episodes I have seen.

That episode finish and I told my wife right away that it was the worst episode of that show ever.

And it was all because of lame Barney. Shows like that make you realize how much Barney makes the show.

The show sucks when they don't make progress or give you stuff about the mom. I can stand an episode where they don't but I think this is the third episode in a row where no progess is being made.

Is it really that important to find out about the mother? I can understand feelings like that on Lost, but on this show?

Yeah, I don't think its a big deal. And who knows, maybe Sarah Chalke is the mother and she has another job now (nah, not likely )?

For me it is...especially given the fact I just found out 4400 has been canceled and now that show will have no resolution.

Well, realistically, it is difficult to have the show "move forward". I mean all that can happen is he meets the mother and the kids say, hey, that's mom! The first name & occupation may even give it away.

I think every show that has the Damocles sword hanging over its head tends to get stale. Because it doesn't really know how far it can go, because an in depth story may be cut short by a canceled show.

After seeing the season finale of this show and watching a few episodes online, I decided to rent season 1. Having finished season one, I am almost certain the mother's name is

So apparently none of them move away... though I wonder about the hit Lilly and Marshall are going to take on the new place.

Awesome ending.
I never really realized how invested I was in the charactures in this show until tonight. Robin really did a nice job with her speech. I can't wait to see where this goes now. |

Good show, no doubt - not the ending I expected, that's for sure. I do worry that with the hair trick of the kids at the end, we should expect the mother to be a brunette, correct? |

After that speech, I went from disliking Robin as a character to liking her.
Mrs. A and I figured that Stella wasn't the mom, but we also did not know how Ted could dump her without coming off as a major ass. Really nice move to have her dump him. I hope that we get to see the breakup beard again. |

It should be interesting to see how Robin-Ted-Barney play out.

I think its clear that Ted is over Robin, but, of course Robin isn't over Ted. She seems amenable, somewhat, to being at least fuck buddies with Barney (if Barney doesn't have other women over), and we all know how Barney feels about Robin.
Sooo... yeah, it'll be definitely interesting .

After recently dating a woman with a kid (ironically Stella's age), I can relate to this episode pretty closely.
