Even with Alex Smith is there a more inept offense in the NFL then the 49ers?

Dola .. Willis McGahee has shown when he gets the ball this year he can deliever. So I ask why does Billick let him run for 60 yards and then just stop handing him the ball? It happens every game it seems like.

At least Denver has a "LB Corps" Cincinnati just has a corpse...we had 1 healthy LB in the second half last week. I think the Bengals have dibs on worst LB's simply due to the lack of them.

Dhani Jones gets signed and is the only healthy guy in his unit 12 days later....

No I don't, Denver is generally one of the more overrated teams in the NFL each season, tey get props for being good because they have a history of it, lately they've been at best a mediocre team.

I don't have to let him have anything =)

Happy to see my Pack up 17-7 at the half. Oh what may have been if Jones hadn't fumbled twice.

Been an interesting game though. McCarthy chewing out Jones after fumble #2, then Favre getting pissed about McCarthy using the timeout at the end of the half.

Go Pack Go!

Every team in the AFC South has a winning record.

Can you say "Premier Division" with the Colts on top?!

At the risk of alienating a state...I think we're better off with cold weather in WI, seeing fans in parkas rather than "tank tops and shorts" as Al mentions.

Wow, very disappointing. The Packers completely blew that game. Just pissed it away in the second half. Penalties, turnovers, piss poor playing calling. Bears took advantage of it so they deserve the win.

I hope the Packers learn something from this game and bounce back against the Redskins next week.

Enjoy that 2-3 record Bears fans.

12 penalties and 5 turnovers, hard to see how GB lost today

What's crazy is that if the final Favre pass is 5 inches to the right, we may still have had OT. While the loss stinks, you have to think that GB won't have double digit penalties and be -4 on the turnover battle in most games.

In retrospec, I wish McCarthy would have been less worried about establishing the run and more worried about first downs. In the third quarter, GB had 8 runs to just 2 passes (and no more that 5 plays in a drive).

Agreed on the first point. Like I said, hopefully they learn how they screwed up and figure out how to avoid it. As much as I disliked McCarthy when he was first hired, I have built up some confidence in his ability to learn and adjust the things he does wrong.

As for point #2, I half agree. Establishing a running game was nice to see in the first half. Once it stalled in the second half is when it became annoying as hell. Madden was actually correct for once, they got too conservative. With an offense that doesn't have the ability yet to play that way, it was a huge mistake.

I was pretty upset that they took away a timeout from Green Bay even though the challenge was correct, in that the spot of the ball was incorrect and therefore changed. McCarthy was right in challenging the spot of the ball, they changed the spot of the ball, why would Green Bay be charged a timeout? The first down measurement only came after the change of the spot of the ball.

I'm surprised they didn't put up more of a fight about that.

The announcers were commenting about that. The announcers then said that , apparently, the challenge was that the spot of the ball was incorrect and it was not a first down. It's a bit of a stretch though.
