It's an interview and I'm sure they'll interview some others as well. I do feel that they could probably do a lot worse than McDaniels. I'm of the position that the most important role of the head coach is developing and instilling culture, rather than X's and O's. Is he the guy to do that? I'm not sure, but I think he's probably a worthy candidate along with a few others.

Why would McDaniels do what he did to the Colts 2 years ago only to leave NE now for the Browns?

I'm pretty confident at this point that they'll find someone worse than McDaniels.

Jags keep their head coach and GM somewhat surprisingly.

Dorsey out as Browns GM. Probably for the best. He seems like a solid talent evaluator, but terrible as a GM.

Looks like I was right. (not that the Pats won't be rightfully punished for "failure to control", I have no provlem with that). But the folks who think that Belichick is the cheatingest cheat that ever cheated are going to have to live with the disappointment of once again making a mountain out of a molehill.

Assuming another disappointing playoff exit at home, you have to look at O'Brien as at least a little uncomfortable on the hot seat, right?

That’s... possibly the craziest call I’ve ever seen. Maybe you consider that for a second if you have 2016 Aaron Rodgers back there, and then you still don’t do it.

I dunno. Maybe they thought they could get a PI or something. But taking both of those sacks is indefensible

I dunno. Obv the sack is the worst case scenario but a punt maybe is 15 yards difference in field position than a failed conversion maybe.

Yeah, I would have set up for the FG and either run the clock down or make HOU take the time out. I'm not trusting him there either.

Also, Booger? You can't run a draw and then spike it IF IT IS ALREADY 3RD DOWN.

This feels like the most poorly coached and played game I've watched in a long time, but it's a lot of fun.

I understand the concept of going for it on 4th and 1 to win the game, but given what Allen and the Buffalo offense has shown throughout the game, just punting it and making them go 80-90 yards with no TO's is the right play, IMO.

I don’t like that “common sense” that he was giving himself up on the kickoff. They don’t call that when the guy drops the ball an inch before crossing the goal line even though common sense says he meant to score first.

Yeah that should have been a touchdown. Common sense is the moron downing it.

Isn’t a 4th and .5 yard sneak like a 95%+ conversion?

Edit. Seeing 70-90%

More like 75% based on the random stuff I just googled but weigh that against the chances that Allen can drive that far with no TO, I’d take the safe option.

Bills are also a bit overrated. They beat the JEts, Giants, Bengals, Dolphins twice, Titans prior to Tannehill taking over, Redskins, Broncos, Cowboys, Steelers. Not exactly a murderers row. At Dallas easily the best win and they weren't even a playoff team. Only win against a playoff teat was the Titans and now I would give the Titans the edge over them.

If you're talking about the illegal blind side block on the Bills O-Linemen in overtime, I completely agree. Without that call, it's 4th-and-5 at the Houston 38 yard line. Instead it backs the Bills up and forces a punt.

By no means a gimme but that should have been a 56 yard field goal attempt with a chance for the Bills to win the game.

After listening to the 3 ESPN Monday Night Football idiots (Tessitore, McFarland, and Perry) do the Bills-Titans playoff game today, I've come to the conclusion that the networks showing NFL games should offer an alternate audio feed -- just the sounds coming from the stadium (the crowd noise, the stadium announcer, the referee, etc.).

Years ago, when NBC televised AFC games, they tried this with a late-season Jets-Dolphins game. It was great! With HD or 4K TV now, it would be just like being there.

Vrabel is really smart using the rules to burn a full minute before a punt.

I love seeing Vrabel go for two here. It’s 100% the right play and teams don’t do it nearly enough.

That clock runoff on the punt was critical. How many coaches would even have the situational awareness to pull that off?
