We all know that football is a very rough game and players will target injuries of other players. But that's done privately (or at least between themselves). When you have a coach encouraging players - and providing cash rewards - to specifically injure other players, that's way over the line.

The Steelers strengthened their somewhat thin corps of wide receivers Wednesday when they came to a two-year, $3 million contract agreement with Jerricho Cotchery.

ESPN reported that if that deadline passes, Wallace will not sign the one-year, $2,742,000 contract tender the Steelers presented him under RFA rules. The network reported that Wallace will not participate in any spring workouts unless he and the team come to terms on a multiple-year contract.
Once that April 20 deadline passes, however, Wallace can sign with no other team but the Steelers, whether it's the one-year tender or a longer-term deal.

Good move by the Giants. They don't have many linebackers and even if he hasn't lived up to expectations, I imagine he's better than any LB the G-Men were going to find in the 5ht round of the draft.

I don't see what McShay sees in him. He even admits Tannehill doesn't have the needed ability to make the reads and it's why he needs to develop over time. It's like he's simply buying into the physical attributes of Tannehill and assuming the mental aspect of it will come.

I don't get it either, but hopefully someone wants to trade up to three to get him. And if it's for future picks I can even dream that Spielman won't be the one making the selections.

However as long as the Vikings have Christian Ponder I can't feel bad for fans of any team that moves up to take Tannehill.

Kiper seems to be sensible about it pointing out the Texas game where he threw for around 40% passing completion. His TD/INT ratio against ranked teams was 16-13. Note, he went tossed six TDs and one INT against Baylor(113th def) and three TDs and one INT against Northwestern(66th def). Against the rest of those ranked teams he was 7-11 and he's worth a 4th or 8th overall pick?

I really don't understand it, I don't think he's that good, granted I saw maybe 3 Texas A&M games this year.

Big NFL Draft news: The NFL, ESPN, the NFL Network are currently discussing ways not to tip draft picks as much this year.

All three entities -- the NFL, ESPN and NFL Network -- are currently in discussions with each other on tipping of picks. So stay tuned.

Note: The reducing of tipping NFL Draft picks would be visual (Draftees on the phone etc..) But not on-air people making predictions.
