I don't know what else to do at this point. If it's not him, I just want the game over so I can figure out WTF actually is going on.

That's insane mau - look at the bids for day five. Unless the wolves have been able to manipulate the bids on more than one day or DV bid on the casino manager and didn't mention it then Jackal can't be a wolf. Nor can you, nor can I.

Chief - Scanned JAG as clear on day one. In all honesty I don't think he's won a bid for the rest of the game until day seven. Has been very absent - at this stage I would expect him to be very methodical about trying to pin down the wolf but I guess time is an issue. I put quite a lot of weight on the scan as it helped clear things up and would wolf-Chief plonk down 1/3 of the wolves' money in order to buy trust? Would wolf-Chief allow his team to ignore the hitman? I think he would be worried about the other team using the kill on him and that there would be some attempt to stop it being used. If Chief was on Zinto's team I don't think he lets him make his scan reveal either.

Absolutely.

And I apologize to everyone for the lack of participation the past couple days from real life stuff. I'm just getting caught up, but I see Narc's call for this, so here goes.

BIDS

Day 1: Seer for $1000 (won it, scanned JAG)
Day 2: Seer for $300 (didn't win)
Day 3: Seer for $339 (didn't win)
Day 4: Seer for $339 (didn't win)
Day 5: Casino Manager $500 (didn't win)
Day 6: Seer for $600 (didn't win)
Day 7: BG for $2 (won it, protected The Jackal)
Day 8: Hitman for $610 (didn't win)

BETS

Night 0: Bulletsponge, JAG, mauchow-- WON $339 for bullet
Night 1: Daddy Torgo, Coffee Warlord-- didn't win
Night 2: The Jackal, Britrock-- didn't win
Night 3: Britrock, DaddyTorgo-- WON $273 for DT
Night 4: Murrayyyyy, Coffee Warlord-- didn't win
Night 5: Murrayyyyy-- didn't win
Night 6: No bet (I forgot )
Night 7: path12, mauchow-- didn't win
Night 8 (current): path12

I currently have $610.

I started with $1000, won $612 in bets and have spent $1002 on winning bids (seer and BG).

Chief votes: d1 Chief puts Bullet up to 3. Possibly a defensive move to protect fontisian - solidify the contest and keep her out of the running. Slight minus if you're being pernickity. d2 Buries fontisian. JAG had a point about the wolves wanting to wait and see if one of them had been made - that would fit in with this vote. d3 Out with an early vote on Brit when Zinto might be a candidate. Switches off to InBlue in the last minutes. Generally not something you might see a wolf do but the early vote on Brit is a slight minus. d4 Vote of Brit when DT looks like a bandwagon rolling. Dunno how to interpret that. I'll go with neutral veering to villager in sticking his neck out.

Overall I think Chief could be a wolf but I dunno. It's difficult to believe that the same team could make such a good scan reveal on day two and such a bogus one on day three. Chief was rolling on a crest of decent trust after his clearing JAG, although there were dissenting voices. Would the same team really go to the well twice? Seems like Zinto's move was born out of borderline panic.

Coffee: claimed taking the hitman and gave information that seems to fit in with what Path said about getting indebted to the mob. I thought it was a trust buying move at the time but Las Vegas had both Zinto and Danny at the time. Admittedly both were getting looks but it would be an unconvential move. Something I noticed though is that coffee seems to have bid conservatively apart from the one time he got the hitman. It looks too convenient. His one bid is out of proportion to the rest of his bids. I guess you can say the same thing about Path, with the added point that he had a lot more money. Coffee was bemoaning the lack of analysis possibility at the start of the game but now there's a decent amount of stuff to analyze but he doesn't seem interested - just saying that it has to be Path or DV because they were the ones who didn't have a service or now it's Path or, maybe, mau. Coffee was also quite vocal in calling for Brit to be scanned. And the kill he did get wound up helping Las Vegas as much as it helped the village.

Voting: d1 neither fonti nor zinto vote coffee. Zinto pushes DT in front of Coffee - bit negative. d2 Coffee goes from Danny to DV to fontisian. Coffee and Zinto actually start a fontisian bandwagon - sort of positive there. d3 The day that piqued my interest at the time as Coffee talks about DV or DT but winds up avoiding voting for DT.

My preference list/trust list is probably:

Jackal
mau
Chief
Path
Coffee

As to how Coffee got two bids - maybe it's a special power a wolf gets when he's by himself to prevent the village cutting him out from the bidding. As far as I'm concerned that is just as likely as Path have a secret cunning ability.

Vote Coffee Warlord

I won't be coming back today - I don't need to be thinking about this any more. Bear in mind that Path's vote probably isn't valid and could actually go somewhere else.

Actually Jackal, what did you get on Path? You mention surveillance which seems to fit in with what Chief got but not what I got.

Narcizo, this was about my seer read on JAG. The trimming the nails part is pretty much straight from the PM. It was the first seer scan, though, so maybe Autumn got a little more verbose in his first results. I know I tend to do that as a GM.

Was this ever responded to? I realize mau has done some things for the village, but I was also thinking it is an obvious and cheap cover to buy this service on Day One as a wolf, and then have it to point at as evidence he isn't a wolf later on in the game (since wolves wouldn't need this service).

I'm still pretty sure I prevented dt killing anybody with my ladies the night he got it.

Ah ha, mau responded to this, then. I think my general point still stands, though. But it's just an unsubstantiated theory.

I explained it a little tgis morning chief...my purchase of the $ transfer. Basicallly pointless after I got it. But for $27 I wasn't too concerned about not using it. I actually tried to use the service last night to pass money but autumn said one time use only.

As you no doubt saw from my bid history, you are correct in that I did not win a bid again. I have had very poor luck with the betting and blew my wad on Day One going for the seer, so I haven't had much money to play with.

You're exactly right that time has been an issue the past couple days with helping my GF, and D6-7 is about when I usually start to really ramp up the analysis. I may get a chance to do that today, although, with my time off, I am behind on work now, so not sure if I can do as extensive as I would normally.

Also, this game is different than most others, without set roles or reliable behaviors based on always-available skillsets. It makes it much harder to analyze (such as the seer function here).

I'm not moving my vote away from either path or mau unless someone can present a rather persuasive argument that doesn't include a wolf being able to bid on multiple things in one day - I don't buy that, I'm not gonna buy it (and if it's the case, I'm totally bitching about it to Autumn after the game )

By the by, I'm starting to suspect this is what is going down:

- Either Narc or Path was a starting wolf.
- The other one between Narc and Path got converted, due to our heavy black market bidding.
- Observe what's going down now.

If I vote vibe, it's mau. If I vote on actions, it's probably path. If I decide someone could have multiple bids, I really don't know who I'd look at between CW/Narc/CR. Basically I'm f'in lost.

I apologize if you've already alluded to this, but what motivated you to bid on that service in the first place if you are a villager? Fairly obvious what it was. Were you surprised that it was "basically pointless"? I'm confused why you would be surprised.

On the flip side it doesn't make much sense for a wolf to waste a bid on that service D1 when they can already pass funds.

Obviously something is amiss. What's the most likely? Cunning, fake bid, or service/ability/role that repels another?

I originally thought I'd be able to use it down the road.. then after the bid was over I realized the sillliness of sending money aimlessly. Although I'm sure it could have boughr me a little more trust even if it was a $100 or something.

And just to point out something, kids.

By voting me, you are saying this.

1) Wolves have either have the ability or gained the ability late to bid on multiple items at once.

2) Somehow, having had that ability, I decided not to bid on all the items I could. Why on earth would I have not bid at least a buck on every service I could.

Stop being dumb.
