Oh I'm familiar, seen it around here every year. But at least there will be something new on that deal (at least once or twice).

This?

This basically serves a function only for those who aren't engaged with their kid's classes/teachers/the school more than one day a year. As you might suspect, that ain't really us.

Dola...

My mom bought some (fictional) book I think about a girl who was a talented athlete (dancer, maybe?) who got a lot of injuries and is now in long-term pain. She thinks I should read it.

Why on earth would I want to read a fictionalized book about what I've gone through?

The worst part is that my mom thinks that by reading it, she will be able to better understand what I've actually gone through. Really? A work of fiction by someone who probably hasn't been through it? WTF.

The Little Caesar's heart-attack inducing Soft Pretzel Pizza is oddly satisfying for $6. Just make sure you brush the salt off.

Pretzel pizza: Newest fast-food twist

Little Caesar's and satisfying should never be used in a sentence unless you are saying how they are not connected.

not sure where to put this but: Anyone using Yahoo for fantasy football may want to double check stuff before the season starts. Apparently any league that drafted last sunday, and some other days possible, was deleted. This included mine.

Dude...this. I was just talking about this two days ago. I told my friend that if that's how you're going to memorialize me, then don't.

Since their back window doesn't really impact me, but I am sure it impacts them very significantly, I think I can deal with someone memorializing a dead loved one on their back window.

I was thinking about that the other day. Like if you buy a used car off of someone, how quickly do you scrape off the memorial of their dead cousin?

RIP tattoos I could go either way on but usually less is more in regards to that. This girl I see maybe went a bit overboard, it's all over her upper arm, way too much text.

In regards to the windows, I think the stick figure family seems like way too much of an in for a potential pedophile. You've got 2 dogs and a cat?....so do I!

This new girl I work with has "breath" tattooed on her arm, I normally hate text tattoos already but this is like Miley Cyrus level bad.

Tech Question:

Anybody know if there is an easy way to convert PDF documents into Powerpoint documents. This semester for some reason my professors upload our lectures as PDFs even though during class they are used as powerpoints. I like to use Powerpoints note section below each slide to write notes from the book/lecture.

Looks like plenty of websites that do it. Acrobat XI apparently does it, if you have that. But that's a bazillion-dollar program, so unless you get it bundled for school I'd imagine you don't.

I'd rather be memorialized on a rear window than the spare tire cover (which I saw on a car yesterday), but yes, I totally agree. When did that become a "thing"? I can only think that I "recently" (in the last year or 2) started to see this...who started it/why?

The only one that I can ever remember seeing at all around here was actually part of a fundraiser for a mother who lost her only teen in a horrible drunk driver accident and then shortly after her house was burned down by a crazy arsonist that hit the neighborhood. The community sold back window stickers memorializing the teen and made a bunch of money to help her get herself back on her feet after losing everything.

I guess due the situation, I never thought I'll of it at all.

I can't really put my finger on why I am so interested in the upcoming NFL season when I can't stand the league's arrogance over the sanctity of 'the shield' and apparent disregard for player safety. I have big time NFL cognitive dissonance.

I actually like phone interviews. I had to spend about 2000 minutes a month on the phone in one of my previous jobs and I think it gives me a little bit of a leg up as I can keep it professional and it doesn't bother me as much as others.

Eh, that's a tough one for me.

The any pizza $10 deal was a steady meal supplier for me.
The constant parade of gimmick offerings is a non-starter.
The occasional $5 combo meal at the PH/TB isn't the worst thing ever.
The slow erosion of the thick crust (to being more like the hand-tossed) is sad.
The Cheese Lovers Plus & Meat Lovers Plus are fine for no-brainer ordering.
The pricing at a sit-down PH is horrific. I've come out of Longhorn cheaper.

I think their cheese is at least 50% Elmer's glue, and don't forget their trademark flaccid crust.

It ain't easy to find anymore.

Since you'll get the geographic references, Athens just got one back after not having one here for at least 8 years. The nearest otherwise were Winder and Madison.

Ok, so this wasn't just me. We ordered a stuffed crust and a pan last week, and the pan was not very pan-like. Wrote it off as a one-time deal or a mix-up, but I guess not.

Nope. I've been round & round with 'em about it a few times, starting probably last summer. Pan & hand-tossed are almost indistinguishable now. Part of the issue being that the pan crust is no longer cooked to crunchy crispy like it used to be (unless they just burn the thing outright).

Speaking of Pizza Hut, I really miss the Priazzos from the 80s. Lost count of how many of the Priazzo Milanos I put away.
