OK, now Pope is gone, who says this ref isn't getting paid off. 2 reds in 2 minutes.

The world will just not let us win. We get a cheap goal to tie and they toss 2 players? Awful.

THAT is BS. I can see the argument for the 1st red card on the tackle, but that was not worthy of a yellow card. That was total BS.

Got to put some blame on The Bruce for that one. He's seen what crap this ref has been calling and should have subbed him out like Totti was taken out earlier.

That was harsh though, both of the fouls Pope was carded for were fouls, but were they both yellows? Don't think so. A lot of the problem is that it seems like almost any foul is yellow now - the refs don't leave themselves any margin of error

20-7 on fouls. What a joke.

More like 15-2 on dives.

Simply terrible. An absolute joke.

But again, we know how he's calling it, we know the guys a jack ass. We know he's a moron who is as blind as a bat.

So why the hell do you tackle from behind in that situation? Just stupid.

I'm not sure who is more idiotic at this point, the refs or the American team.

Come on - it was a foul, he caught the player, there was no need to give a 2nd yellow for it - that was the ref's mistake. Definite foul though.

MIJB, you would hate to see the US beat Italy. You would hate to see the US become good at soccer. Everyone on the board knows you are a eurosnob. Always have and always will be.

Frankly, you and your conspiracy theories have become tiresome.

1) It was a two footed tackle which is AT LEAST an automatic yellow card.
2) He got the man and not the ball which makes it POSSIBLY a red card

So the red card is not out of the question. Having said that I am cheering for the USA because I hate Italy and my neighbourhood is full of annoying Italian soccer fans.

All you have to do is fall in this game and a foul is called. The US needs to fall and roll around more to win.
