Neither will probably happen, but after everyone talked about how "down" the SEC was this year(just because Kentucky was subpar I think), it would be quite humorous if the SEC had 2 teams in the Final Four, or hell, an all SEC championship game!

If they don't call the double technical then I don't think it ever comes down to andersons shot at the end. The fifth foul on dentmon when Williams tripped over his own foot was horrible as was the goaltending. Despite everything if UW plays smart the last 90 seconds of regulation they win.

That's what hurts the most - yeah, I can bitch about the officiating (and I am, it was horrible) - but the UW still should've won the game. Jensen's foul at the end was absolutely idiotic. In that situation, you prevent the 3-ball. If someone gets around you for a 2-point shot, oh well - it's still a 4 point lead and you stand an excellent chance of winning a free-throw shooting contest. Instead, it's now a 3-point game against a team that has been unconscious all night from 3-point range. How Anderson made that 3-point shot while moving away from the basket and shooting sideways, and then Appleby misses a straightaway 3-ball when he's perfectly squared up to the bucket...

...fuck that outcome sucks. To be soooooo close to winning a huge upset and in the process excorcising the ghost of Rip Hamilton...just, fuck.

Very interesting so far... D Matt Olinger had a shot deflect off the post... 1 inch away from giving the Badgers a 1-0 lead...

I was going to school there during the last Uconn loss so this was definately painful. I had a really bad feeling when Jensen committed that foul that there was no way they wouldn't tie it. On the bright side I was impressed with how the underclassmen played. The team didn't fall apart with the seniors out of the game with foul trouble.

If LSU can't figure out how to block out on the rebounds, it's gonna be a long afternoon for them.

This one is shaping up to be a great game, going in to the half tied.

Interesting that Texas has 4 blocks so far to none for LSU, considering how many the Tigers blocked against Duke.

Should be a great final 20 (or more?) minutes.

4.6 seconds left. Looks like Texas will have to hope for a stop and head to OT.

Texas is blowing it. They played so great during the final 2-3 minutes of regulation, but are absolutely blowing it during over time.

You could've said the same thing about the Big Ten last year. Everyone said the Big Ten was down but it ended up putting both Illinois and Michigan State in the Final Four. Shows how much the "experts" know.

The refs are alread trying to make up for the way they screwed UCLA last night. That 2nd foul on Dorsey was complete and total crap. Hollins lowered his shoulder and the foul is called on Dorsey. WTF?

Big Baby is comparable to Sean May. Wasn't Sean May's actual height about 6'7"? Thats Baby's problem, he is listed at 6'9", but he is really around 6'7 1/2", and you can't play his kind of game in the NBA at only 6'7".

And, though most of you don't care, lol, what a day for LSU sports.
The softball team sweeps Kentucky.
The #14 baseball team beats previously undefeated and #1 ranked Miss. St.
The women's basketball team goes to the elite 8 by beating DePaul.
The men go to the final four.
Pretty good for one afternoon.

Stanford and LSU are squaring off in the women's tourney SA regional final. Should be a good game. It features two star players Seimone Augustus and Candance Wiggins.

What is so wrong with being fair? The refs are wearing UCLA uniforms out there. All I ask is for fairness. That was not fair.

I am not bitching. I am just asking for fairness. This almost an exact replica of the UConn-Washington game from last night. The refs are calling every tick-tack foul on Memphis. They are not doing the same for UCLA. It is just an issue of fairness.

Well, you can not beat two teams. Memphis gave a great effort but you just can not beat the refs and UCLA. Memphis got a raw deal in this tournament. We have to play a home game for UCLA despite us being the higher seed.

Bug, if you can not see the foul issue then you are just blind. Memphis has certianly not played great, but the refs have just been down right biased.

Sure bub. Memphis is still in the game, yet you are already resigned to the fact that they are going to lose? What kind of fan is that? UCLA came back in, according to you, the same situation as two nights. UCLA has had ticky tacky calls, but the bottle line is that UCLA is the best team Memphis has seen and much more physical then the ticky tacky style that the mid major is used to.

Game is far from over. UCLA is just playing tough. If you want to avoid physical sports, go watch Tennis or golf.

Bug, it is not issue of the fouls they are calling. The issue is the fouls they are calling on Memphis but not calling on UCLA.

SO you are sure the refs are in some conspiracy because they were hosed two nights ago and need to make it up?

UCLA came prepared to play, Memphis didn't. If you need to blame the refs for your teams struggles, so be it.

After all the exciting basketball since Thursday, this Memphis-UCLA game is a major letdown. Neither team deserves to win. Memphis can't do anything right, and UCLA can't make their free throws (although the second half has been much better than the first). Perhaps the other games spoiled me, but this is damn near unwatchable, and I'm about to rip off my Memphis shirt just to get the stink off (no pix pls thx).

UCLA was the better team tonight. Memphis played terrible. UCLA's defense was great. They frustrated the Tigers all game long. Good lucky in Indy.

The offciating was much better in the second half. I will give them credit for adjusting the game.

This was a terrible all round game. Both teams sucked ass and neither deserve to go to the final four after this performance. BUT you have to admit it is a little unfair to Memphis to play this game so close to UCLA's campus, when they were the number one seed.

Indeed. They've been trying to give the game to UCLA all night, and the Bruins are finally taking it. If Memphis plays a halfway decent game tonight, they probably win it fairly easily. Instead, they turned the ball over, committed a ton of fouls, and missed easy baskets.

I hate to say it after the season Memphis had, but it looked like they were never really prepared for high-level tournament basketball. Not to take anything away from Bucknell and Bradley -- you don't get to choose your opponents -- but Memphis never had to play a team that challenged them, and they looked panicked tonight. It's a shame.
