These announcers are just dumb. You are a huge dog with a chance to get in field goal range to win the game yet the announcers think they should have played conservative, run down the clock and win it OT.
They were in the dream situation just quit talking announcers. |

Aggressive call on 3rd on 15th by Miss St defense left a huge gap in the defense. And now bama leads.
3 and out with a chance to win the game... |

Notre Dame holy shit boy did Miami ever punch these choir boys in the mouth , take their lunch and come back to get their dessert too. Hopefully people will start treating them as the middle of the pack program they really are in the last twenty years. The last big game they have won seriously was in the early 90s.

Clemson was trash again today, FSU driving towards the end down 4 isn't exactly taking care of business for them. They SHOULD drop to 5 ... but in my opinion of what the poor opinions of the committee's will be, I agree with your rankings. |

Oh ok. I didnt catch the won part. Still, they must have "won" a couple a big games that year in order to be undefeated going in if I cared to argue about it. Couldnt help myself They won at Oklahoma, at Michigan St and beat Stanford at home. Oklahoma was ranked either 8th at the time or at the end of the regular season. The other two were ranked as well. Id sort of agree with the original statement that they have fallen off a lot but they have had a few decent seasons along the way and still get top tier recruits. I think their coaching has been average at best over the past few years. Last edited by jbergey22 : 11-11-2017 at 10:17 PM. |

I swear, if Gary Patterson could just consistently recruit above average or better QBs he'd win the Big 12 every year.

Agree. Purely mental at this point. The lack of confidence and inability to handle the hype and pressure of a big game exudes the whole program. And the only way to fix that is to have a figurehead with a strong enough personality to pull out of the players the intensity and focus needed to win games of this magnitude. Or at the very least be competitive. Blowouts by halftime for a team that recruits this well is beyond unacceptable. |

I don't know who Matt Millens partner is, but I admire the effort he puts into making sure Millen can't too far into a tangent that'll get him fired. It's impressive friendsmanship.

Clemson will take anywhere in the top 5. All they have to do is win the last 2 and beat Miami and they are in. I'm sure if you talked to Dabo, he'd be just fine with it too, he much prefers coaching from the role of the aggrieved.

Just to be fair here, Clemson put up 100 yards more offense and 7 more points against FSU than Bama did. They also held FSU to a season low rushing output, despite having 5 defensive starters out yesterday. It wasnt very pretty, and again Clemson backed off instead of putting a team away and found itself in a game that should have long been over, but to say they were trash? I think that's a stretch. FWIW my top 4 at this point is Bama Miami Wisconsin Clemson |

You're right, trash was too strong. It was iffy until that interception sealed the deal. Could have gone either way at that point.

Georgia also still has control of their own destiny, best I can figure. Win out, which would include beating either Bama or Auburn for the SEC title, that's gotta get them in I think.

Butch Jones reportedly fired this morning.
Brady Hoke reportedly the interim. Oddly enough, I was planning to comment about how UT still having a shot at bowl eligibility was probably the clearest indication that there are too many bowl games I'd ever come across.

Even having Brady Hoke to fill the gap wasn't enough to save Butch Jones.

Very true. 3 fumbles inside the 5 (recovered 1) made it seem close. Should ah be been 28 or 35-0 at half. Then Tony Elliott went into his normal shell and we had a game. Prior to that INT I expected fsu to win. |

A friend of mine says Wisconsin gets left out in this scenario:
Wisconsins wins out. Miami wins out. Auburn wins out. He says Auburn and Bama will get the nod over Wisconsin at 11-1. I just don't see it.. Mind you, I live in SEC country Last edited by mauchow : 11-12-2017 at 05:52 PM. |

I've been lobbying for the state AG to go after him for fraud. I mean, he collected paychecks to be a football coach, not sure that's what UT has had for a while now.

Was at a rugby tourney in Mobile, AL. Great time but missed Iowa's beat down.
Great job by Wiscy. Iowa gets 66 yards. What a joke. And the OC is on tap to be our next HC. Yay. My 4 are : Miami Clemson Alabama Wisconsin OU and Auburn are 5 and 6. If Wiscy wins out they are in. The committee is not leaving an undefeated B1G team out. Just get this thought that it wont happen out of your mind. Im tired of FKF.

Coaches take recruits with them from one job to another all the time. Telling a player that you won't be there, and that he should look elsewhere, isn't remotely unethical.

Point is that he doesnt have another job and probably wont get a job close to the prestige of Tennessee. He is telling the kid to leave for no reason other than sour grapes. A courtesy call letting the kid know he sucks and was fired from his job is fine anything badmouthing the team that paid his friking salary for getting that recruit is pure classless and unethical. If he signed a non-disclosure form Tennessee should sue him and recover some of that wasted money back. Last edited by jbergey22 : 11-13-2017 at 07:02 AM. |

It was a SHOCK to many that Ingle had a committable offer from Tenn.
I'd wager money that wouldnt be the case with a new staff. Far be it from me to ever defend Brick by Brick Butch, but this was throwing a solid to a kid who did you no favors in return. |

I agree. Leaving out an undefeated Wisconsin, who'll have to beat Michigan and Ohio State to get there, seems unfathomable. Then again, I'm not sure Wisconsin gets by that unscathed either. Hell in that scenario there is a decent enough chance that 2 loss SEC Champ Auburn gets left out (imagine the howls).
