CR's account of events is factually correct, however, i want to know what would have happened if you had succeeded....i think its a pretty weak villager play to use a role that could interfere with the sheriff, regardless of who it is.

How sure are we that this was a begin action? Could it instead have been a failed conversion attempt?

Seems very possible, and the cover-up is pretty weak. Lets see how good our new sheriff is.

Night actions post might be about 15-20 min late this morning. Everyone grab an extra cup of coffee on me this morning. Charge it to my tab! A little busier this morning at work than normal.

Weird, I got the vibe that he was the total opposite of a judge.

Guys, I am probably out for the entire day, untill past the deadline.

I'll be home for about 15 more minutes. Hopefully, if I am going to get a night message, I will have it and be able to share before I go.

The day saw a new sheriff get elected to the delight of most of the town. Ntndeacon was sworn in as sheriff and then most people went to the local saloon for dinner and drinks, still talking about the new sheriff. Wonder how well he will do!

The night passes uneventfully for most, sleeping away without any disturbance, but at sunup news is that not all got through the night peacefully. The body of Goldeneagle was found dead at night much to the demay of many.

Tired players:
Chubby
Grammaticus

Current Sheriff:
Ntndeacon

Currently in Jail:
Swaggs
Chief Rum
Grammaticus

Deadline for Day4: 9:00pm EST Thursday night. Your current sheriff is still alive, so a new sheriff is not needed. If you wish to elect a new sheriff, please do so by posting:

elect playername

Sheriff election is not mandatory as not voting confirms your desire to keep the current sheriff. For a new sheriff to be elected, they must receive more than 50% of the alive townspeople vote. (10 votes)

There are three valid players for lynch votes today: Swaggs, Chief Rum and Grammaticus. If you do not post any lynch vote, it is assumed you wish to not lynch him. To lynch players please post as:

Lynch playername.

To lynch multiple players, please post:

Lynch playername
Lynch playername2
Lynch playername3

In order to lynch a player you must receive more than 50% of the alive townspeople's vote. (10 votes)

And of course I didn't get a night message, again, so i can''t contribute anything.

I am still leaning Saldana for some reason... he seemed to have a personal vendetta against GE and now he is dead. And I thought we would learn more about him when he died

Like clockwork... I have a PM. Good work, Alan.

Pretty uneventful night, but perhaps something worthy of becoming a clue.

Basically, I was lonely in the jail yesterday and ate a crummy meal by myself. Later on, Ntndeacon and his deputies brought in Chief Rum.

Then, a little bit later, the deputies, without Ntndeacon brought in Grammaticus.

This would, I gather, indicate that Ntndeacon executed his night action.

I also had a visit from NTN last night. He holds the role that I suspected he did from the other accounts. I'm a little surprised about any confusion around this initially from Anxiety and Cronin, but perhaps their PMs were substantially different.

Well, I am out for the day.

Hopefully GE's death puts me into some folks' CoT.

I have found Gramm suspicious for a few days because I feel like he has been probing for role information a little too hard. Nothing too damning, but this is the first lynch option that I have liked.

Lynch Gramm.

That said, the wording of the PM doesn't make me think you were the shooter. I had you on one role before this morning but I'm shifting my thoughts to another after a few re-reads of the PM..

Also, I can confirm that Grammaticus appeared to be coming from Path's house when he made his way over to see GE's corpse.

Bullet was also there, with a tin cup of booze.

Is it a good assumption that his murder wouldn't stick around after killing him?

Correct. I left was I was doing when I heard 3 gunshots and looked in GE's house to see him dead with his gun in his hand. I didn't see anyone nearby

You showed up and then Gramm showed up running from path's house.

Then ntndeacon showed up with deputees and then bullet showed up drinking.

Ntn then takes Gramm's gun and arrests him.

Here's what I know....

GE was killed in the same manner as Thomkal. He was shot once in the head and once in the body. On his person, I found a sheriff's star from Kansas and some papers. No details on the papers.

He was shot from a side window. I assume he managed to get a shot off because there was a bullet in the wall near the side window.

He gun was no where to be found.

So I'm wondering if the same person killed thermkal and GE, as seems likely. If so I'm wondering what that means about the Cowboys ability to kill.

Three quick votes for Gramm. We have one explanation and 2 folks voting without any explanation other than getting an early vote in before they are gone for the day.

Voting decisions - I'll back NTN again. If we had elected a Cowboy to the office he would not have had any incentive to come visit me last night. He could have remained night protected from any kind of assassin role. Or, if he was a Cowboy he could have been off killing/bribing/whatever but instead he visited me. So that is an easy call.

Lynch votes - I said on Day 1 that I wanted to see us move to lynch on people and I still hold that to be true. It seems pretty likely that neither is the shooter from last night (CR = no gun, Gramm = no shots fired from his) but that doesn't mean we don't have a Cowboy in the room. I'm willing to wait a little while for someone to clear either of these guys, but it doesn't sound like either of them will be able to mount their own defense until much later, perhaps after deadlines.
