basicly it is someone who makes potions and may have the ability to teach others how to make potions,

Potions usually are antidotes or poisons, however there are other powerfull potions that can change your appearance to look like some one else or Veritisirum which makes someone tell the truth.

Just a couple of examples.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain it in HP terms that way we could figure out what it could possibly mean in terms of werewolf.

that was strange timing...

If he can make poisons, could he have been the one to poison Blade?

Yep. I think (just like in the HP books), it's such a vague, hazy area. It could be used for great good, or great evil. I don't know that it helps us at all.

Maybe he was the assassin on the Wizard team and there was an assassin on the DE team. That would mean the Wizard team has lost their ability to assassinate (maybe).

I still don't know why I'm so suspicious...cause I voted badly the first two night? So did a lot of other people. Because I've been so quiet? First of all, if you check the other two or three WW games that I've been in I've been quiet in those as well (and I've been a good guy every time). I'm just not one of the more vocal people when it comes to the WW games. Secondly, my schedule the last few days has been crazy, knocking me off the computer for long stretches. It's not my fault that I have to work, sleep, and watch UTEP kick SMU's ass, is it?

Sure, the voting and general quietness are something that makes you think. Mostly because I don’t know why you voted the way you did. But something just does not feel right. Early on you said you knew a lot about Harry Potter and if anyone had questions to ask and you would help. A couple of key discussion came up about the HP world, primarily the teleporting issues and the cloak. You have not commented on those at all and that could have been helpful. I don’t know, just a feeling.

And when have those key discussions come up? When I've been at work. If people have questions they need to post them between 9am and 5pm...

Technically night ended at 9:30am. So, no new night actions should be allowed, but then we cannot really start voting until we see what happened. I think Saldana said he gets out of work at 1:00am. So we are pretty much just waiting for him to get up and process everything.

Saldana, where are you?

Anyway, I’m off for an hour or two, so I’ll check in later.

First set of thoughts on the voting from yesterday --
CW, RA, and king are in a sort of "circle of trust" for me because they started the bandwagon on Alan T (a known wizard) at a point where it was pretty clear that I (known to me to be a wizard) was going to be lynched. To a lesser extent, this works for dubb, ardent, and Schmidty, except that by the time they switched the vote had tightened up and path12 (an unknown quantity to me) was in danger.

Night 3
Yesterdays killing of an innocent hits you all hard. there is no revelry or thoughts of celebration as you each head back to your homes, the beginnings of fear beginning to set in. for he first time, you go to bed worried about losing the ongoing battle with evil and wonder if the losses that you have suffered to this point will cost you this war.

Sleep doesnt come easy for anyone, but it comes even harder for one of you. For the third night in a row, a sound fills the night, but again, it is one that you haven't heard on the nights before. This time it is a scream. Painful, tortured screams punctuate the darkness. It seems the Death Eaters are becoming a bit more brazen in their activities, perhaps they too feel the tides beginning to ebb. All of you are paralyzed with fear waiting for the screaming to stop, and when it does, the green light returns, the Skull and Serpent shining brightly in the sky once more. Tearing your eyes from in it, floating in the blackness, you track down to realize it is above the house of st. cronin. anxiously, you all run to his house, and find his dead body laying in a position that is completely unnatural. he is arched over backwards so far that he appears to have broken his back, his head now touching the heels of his feet. Only one spell could have produced enough pain to have actually made a person writhe to the point that their convusions killed them, and in your already fragile minds, you actually fear it more than the Avada Kedavra. Instead of a quick and painless death like Neon_Chaos orbarkeep49, St. Croninhas been tortured to death with the Cruciatus Curse.

A quick search of his rooms reveals nothing to you. No Pensieve. No Potions. No Pictures with the Minister. St. Cronin was just a normal Wizard. You return to your homes with the same feeling as the day before. One of the only people you knew you could trust is gone, and the Death Eaters are gaining confidence.

it is now day 4, voting ends at 9:30 pm tonight.

Circle of trust:

Superman, WVUFan, and everybody that voted for SnDvls- dubb (although he did hop around a bit, looking somewhat fishy), Passacaglia, Schmidty, Lathum, Jesse, Coffee, Grammaticus, king, Dacman. It's possible one of those is a death-eater.

I am suspicious of KWhit and JeeberD. One thing that worries me about Jeeber is that, although I pointed a finger at him early yesterday, NOBODY outside my circle of trust voted for him, or even mentioned his name. This means that NO death-eater voted for or discussed Jeeber as a suspect. I find this highly worrisome.

Second set of thoughts on the voting yesterday:
dacman and coder cast early votes for me and didn't budge. Same for Gram with path12. Alan cast an early vote for JeeberD. Lathum, path12, and WVUFan cast unchanged votes more towards the middle, for path12, me, and me, respectively. Pass and Taz voted semi-late for Alan and me. Desnudo, Superman=#54, and Jesse cast late votes for me, Jeeber, and path12, respectively.

That's my general pool of suspicion, although there are exceptions in Superman=#54 (tiebreaking vote for SnDvls), Lathum (kicked off the charge against SnDvls), WVUFan (invisibility cloak last night), and Alan (obviously). This is what might happen if the DEs see a lot of normal wizards getting suspicion and they want to vote without drawing attention to themselves -- they can safely cast a vote for any of us and then sit back and watch the fireworks, knowing that they are not in the position of starting a bandwagon or breaking a tie.

So, my "gun for a DE vote" will be cast against someone in the pool of dacman, coder, Gram, Pass, Taz, Desnudo, and Jesse.

Hmm, no vote at all yesterday from KWhit. Not sure what to make of that.

I'd kinda like to cross-reference my group that seems like the best pool for yesterday with the previous two days. I've already identified the ones out of the lot that seem the safest, but there may be others that have a positive record from day 1 or 2.

Gram or Pass, if I had to guess.

Though last night's guess didn't pan out so well. One of those two are high on my list 'o suspicions.

And, for that matter, let's add another name to the pile. AE.

Couple pages ago, made a big long post, casting suspicion on me, MrW, and path, and almost immediatly followed alongside me when I went for Alan, which obviously turned out to be a mistake. I mentioned later on I was kinda concerned for several people almost immediatly following my lead.

Now, revisting that post he made. Long winded, hinting at people he doesn't trust, but all in all, a lot of words that had basically no substance. Classic wolf move to make him sound honest without actually *saying* anything.

I wanna take a look back at his votes and other posts. Curiosity has me.

I am confused then. This is what you said earlier:

That led me to believe you were the bodyguard. Hold on...let me find the post where I said I believed you were the bodyguard...

AE voted Neon, WVU, and followed me to vote MrW and Alan in order.

I'm sorry about the confusion, I was talking only about casting votes -- voting priority. It didn't even occur to me (until you came right out and said it in the post to which I replied) that you might have thought I was claiming to be the bodyguard.

But I agree. The problem is that he did his reveal somewhat "late" in the lynching cycle. If someone else is the real bodyguard, then they may not log on to dispute his claim. I think within the next 24 hours we'll know if someone calls him out on it.
This was my post #1197.

The way you worded your goals made it seem as if you were the bodyguard. That's why I came to that conclusion. I want to think that I'm not the only one who thought that. When I wrote the above post (#1197) you didn't come out and say you weren't the bodyguard then, but you are now after the lynch. Can you explain this?

I didn't read it carefully. I would have corrected you immediately if I'd been paying closer attention.
