I am not sleeping, I have had roughly 10 - 14 hours of sleep this past week...I am talking from Saturday to Today, so I am averaging about 2 hours a day.

I do have an Ambien prescription to pick up today, I have been off of it for a long time and I haven't had to use it much. I haven't felt comfortable calling and asking for them to fill the script, especially with me taking my pain pills from surgery. Well, I haven't had to take a pain pill in over a week and a half so I think I am safe there.

But who knows...

Damn good day of noon hour basketball. Two games going on smoothly. Four extra guys waiting for games. Good players for every team. It also helps when there are fewer complainers and fighters who look to bitch about every little thing.

I probably played for almost two hours..and I still felt good enough like I could have kept playing.

I start doing open gym again about three months ago(off for 9 months or so), twice a week, and its paying off big time as I've made a more conscience effort to not drink soda and eat poorly. Had a banana prior to playing and then a double cheeseburger (burger king. Super healthy right? Whatever..it hits the spot) with water after.

All that said I've probably lost ten pounds in three months. I've never looked overweight at 200 lbs (im 5'10") as I have a pretty solid body so whenever people guess its usually 150/160 and they're shocked when I say 200. If I can get down to 180 that'd be ideal and then I can stay there which will help my knees out a bit more with all the sports I play throughout the year.

It was just nice to bang around down low and actually rebound over bigger guys since my knees never allowed me to do so before as well. But I've got a nice cut on my stomach from someone's nails and a few more on my arms and hands... so maybe I need to get away from banging down low.

Watching SNL for the first time in...decades? because nothing else is on and Louis CK is hosting. Not exactly impressed by the opening sketch.

Every couple of years, I try to watch SNL when there's a host I like and invariably I'm disappointed by how bad the writing has gotten. And it's been this way since the mid 90s

I liked the monologue (though the audience laughter bugged me for some reason), chuckled some at Black Jeopardy!, and that was pretty much it.

I thought it was a solid effort on SNL. I just DVR it and watch it most weeks. Gotta have the ability to skip skits that suck. Usually at least 50% of the stuff is pretty good. I'm not trying to dog anyone, but the writing is basically the same or as good as it ever was.

I guess it was inevitable that once Carrie Underwood covered a Motley Crue song, it would be featured in a commercial sung by a pre-teen girl.

Once you buy a white phone, and get used to looking for it, it's really hard to shift gears and try to find a black phone again. I'm basically blind without my contacts in and probably am suffering from early onset dementia. I spend way too much time looking for my phone throughout the day. I'm about to hit the case with high visibility orange or something, just so the damn thing pops out at me.

Pretty interesting:

Teen to government: Change your typeface, save millions - CNN.com

Quote:
Using the General Services Administration's estimated annual cost of ink -- $467 million -- Suvir concluded that if the federal government used Garamond exclusively it could save nearly 30% -- or $136 million per year. An additional $234 million could be saved annually if state governments also jumped on board, he reported.

Last time I did that I ended up in the hospital with your re-enactment of Thelma and Louise running off the cliff in the car, except we were on a scooter and it was the Erie Canal.

I would have jumped sooner and not gone of the edge with you, but your hawt pants keep me fixated on the back of the scooter....and the handcuffs.

So the normal phrase it's not you, it's me...doesn't work here...it was definitely you...all you in your amazing glory....

why does everyone think i am a chick?

It's the ending a, which signals the feminine. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single dude's name that ends in a, but I can think of a ton of women's names (Dana, Drea, Erica, Anna, Svetlana, Brenda, Bertha, Jessica, Angela, Tatiana, Sophia, etc.)

If you were, say, saldano, nobody would think you were a chick.

I don't mess with the canned ravioli often, but it would be nice if we could get some standardization whereby all cans have the pull top(preferred) or the can opener top. We know the pull top exists, so why do we keep going back to old technology.
