Silverbacks have lost a few players recently. I'm trying to keep this as an FOFC-only team, but that's getting more and more difficult as people continue to leave.

Right now we need backups at QB, DE, and DT. Remember, a backup role could eventually lead to starter. Our current #2 WR was the #4 WR at one point, and our current QB started off as the backup.

Even if anyone wants to create a minimum level guy, I'd rather have that than a CPU player.

Yeah, I am feeling your pain, I guess in hindsight a longer contract would have been best, but I am losing players in the middle of the season with a great run happening and a chance at the playoffs in the Canadian Pro West...

Yeah, we've got a lot of guys that seem to think testing the FA market is the way to go. Well, that and a couple inactives but we've slowly moved them out.

I, again, would like to pimp here for a couple of positions:

Defensive end- You'll likely be our top back-up

Wide receiver- You'll get playing time for sure

Offensive tackle- Again, you'll likely be our top back-up.

It's a great team with several faces from here and, as my owner says, a great shot at the Pro-League playoffs. I'm actually now up to three guys on this team as my level 14 linebacker, level 6 offensive tackle, and newly made level 4 cornerback look to help bring home some hardware. Join up, it's good times.

BTW QB Manuel Martin http://goallineblitz.com/game/player.pl?player_id=66608 will be available on day 1 of season 3, I'm currently stuck on an abandoned shitty team... So if anyone needs a decent QB by that time.

I could create another player but I feel bad enough having 3 on the team already. If we can't pull another player from here let me know and I'll create backups at needed positions.

Supposedly there was a 1 day change that screwed QBs. Has anyone else seen this? I think it was the day we played the Generals.

Posted this in the Silverbacks forum but wanted to post it here as well. Do the Silverbacks need a pocket QB or a mobile QB at backup? I've got 5k in flex points sitting in my account so I can create and boost a player in time for todays game.

The Admirals will need help in the QB realm as our starter hasn't responded to contract negotiations, and we also need WR's and anything else PurdueBrad has listed...

I have no idea. Purportedly it had to do with energy/stamina. I know that I have 0 TDs and 4 INTs (8/6 previously I believe), others were complaining of similar problems. I really don't know any details -- I'm just spreading rampant rumors and speculation.

I didn't notice anything particularly odd about my QB's energy. He did have one clunker of a game, but nothing odd like that. He just threw lots of short passes that day and didn't move the ball very well.

I already have 3 on the team as well and like Yellow5 said, I feel like 3 is a lot for one team, but I could create more backups if needed. Let me know if you don't find other FOFCers to fill those spots.

I don't think it affected your energy at the end of the game, just your in-game stamina. I really don't know, though. It is so hard to keep up with the forums over there and I'm really not sure why. The system they use is just different enough from vbb/phpbb that it's a pain.

I should be disappointed with my CB because he doesn't seem to get many tackles and hasn't had any INT's right now, but I do seem to not see the ball thrown my way much so I guess that's just as good.

I've got Randall McManus, a level 14 (soon to be 15) QB on the Silverbacks. I'm about to create a level 4 DT or DE to be a backup on the Silverbacks.

Just added a player game log page for the defense but I haven't got it linked to any other page just yet. For now you will need to add the player position and name with ".htm" following this link

Sorry about the links above. The board automatically converted them - you can see what I meant when you hover over them.

I'll try and get them included into the other pages. For now I was just trying to see if I could do it automatically.

And a level 7 FB:

Both are active (and signed long term), but not getting much PT. We are looking for a level 11+ LB or CB. If anyone has some options, PM me:

I'm looking for some help to track down some season 1 games for the Silverbacks. I've managed to get the box scores for all of our games except two:
4/4 Followed Springfield, preceded LA (week 12?)
4/14 1st playoff game

I managed to get all of the other games from the replays in this thread but nobody posted any for those. It is a bit of a longshot but worth a try. It would be nice to flesh out our history.

I think I found the 4/4 game - looks like it was Tucson. Luckily the game ids were fairly sequential. No luck on the playoff game.

suggestion I made over on the forums. Free Agency is one of the most maddening (and necessary) aspects of the game. There is no rhyme or reason to offers or who wants what.

Would be nice if players had certain items to strive for that they could select and, at the end, receive a set # of XP points.

Things like -

Be a backup for 1 season
Play a season in Asia
Attain 40 Strength
Rush for 1,000 yards
Play 3 Years on same team

Also, if team owners could have a set # of XP points that they could dish out to reward active owners, mvps, incentives, etc.

I think if both were combined together, it would help in recruiting FA's and give some idea of what a players motivations are rather than just the constant hit and miss.

"Hey, I see you have a goal of playing on a playoff team in Asia, we've been in the playoffs the last 3 seasons so, we can help each other, here is a contract offer"

I'd really enjoy it if you do so.

We shall see. There are other things I could spend my time on, though. This is really something the developers (who are raking in the dough) should be working on.
