Much has transpired since I was last able to contibute, but I have managed to incorporate the multitude of statements and have several observations.

I accept the probability that Colossus is being forthright in his assertations of using the minimal amount of force yesterday. Proof of this can be seen in the fact that the damage suffered by Dr. Banner's personal Mr. Hyde was greater than one. It is logical to believe that the greater ones personal strength is, the greater amount of damage they may inflict from a single point of energy.

Also, I concur with the supposition posited by Magneto. It would appear that the repetitive use of one type of power results in a new ability of Galactus to recover from damage incurred in that manner. Perhaps we should vary our attack on a daily basis to alter the method of assault. That is to say, on one day, inflict physical damage. The following day, inflict energy damage, then psychic damage, etc.

Gambit has participated in two missions, neither of which has he made any significant contribution to. Although I have a certain fondess for Remy, it can not be disregarded that he is not only failing to positively contribute on missions, but he is also not providing much in terms of assistance to the search for the rebels.

More bothersome to me is that Colossus now has no energy. I'm not sure I believe it was all used up on one mission.

It is ok, I do not intend to sound whiny, but I just feel it is in our best interest to forgo using me as a defender at least tonight. Even though I am not strong in stature, I am fairly flexible and don't mind defending if at some point it is deemed that my research has been less than stellar.. but I'll leave that up to everyone else to judge once I am able to present it.

Actually, I emerge from this mission perplexed by my absence from the action. I suspected going in that we had a bit of overkill (eleven participants, vs. only seven the previous day, plus we had Wanda's hex working in our favor. It appears that, barring further information to the contrary, we can scale back our mission contingent a bit, particularly with the Galactus mission not faring as well today.

I find this action to be perplexing, not in it's logic, as it is natural for one to protect ones' offspring. The part I am perplexed by is that I cannot locate any reference to such capabilites in the directives set forth by the manipulator. I have reviewed the directives and cannot discern where "extension" of basic abilites are possilble.

The crowd gathers today and finds that the words of Gambit ring untrue. The Cajun finds himself under assault in all directions. It begins with Kang emitting a power blast and continues with a mental assault from EmmaFrost. The number and variety of attacks builds when Hulk lands a crushing blow and Dr.Doom pulled the last of his lifeforce from his body with a menacing incantation.

Spider-Man also finds himself on the firing line, but he is tougher to kill. Magneto, IronFist, Firebird, Punisher - each is unable to land a shot on the intuitive, and quick-moving, webcrawler. But he doesn't fare as well against a mental assault from ProfessorX and Cable also lands an attack with his Psimatar. Still, he will live to face another day - although with a splitting headache.

Colossus finds himself surprised by the flame power of GhostRider, which chars his steel skin and causes him to howl in pain. The katana of the Silver Samurai also leaves a mark, but the other attacks do not seem to cause him concern. He, too, will be able to recuperate.

Gambit was a villager.
