I watched 5 minutes. Next week's game should be good though.

Can someone tell me why they were interviewing Jason Kelce during the game? It wasn't a pre-season game. Do they do this on the reg to cover up the lack of Herbstreit's charisma?

I’m not sure why but they gotta throw Kelce in the booth permanently asap.

I assume they're testing the waters for a permanent spot in the booth at some point, maybe as early as next year. Apparently there is some Kelce documentary on Amazon Prime, so they seem to have some sort of working relationship already.

The Bears won their most important game of the year. That was the only thing to take away from last night.

And it was his bye week so it wasn't like he was missing practice / preparation for a Sunday game that it would be a big deal for him.

Dear Football Gods:

Please do what you can to keep Kyler Murray safe from harm today because we all know his offensive line sure won't.

I have to imagine most Germans would have rather watched Harry Kane today than this snoozefest.

What the hell did I just watch? Pats pull Jones for the final drive, fake a spike and throw a game losing pick.

The AFC North might be 7-3, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3 by 4:30.

The folks in Germany have threatened to leave NATO if we send them any more Patriots Games. "We have a strong coalition against nuclear waste", said a German Green Party spokesman.

edit: The Legend Of Dobbs continues. 19/23, 237, and a 24-3 lead

I hope he hangs 50 on the Saints. This week I'm the biggest Josh Dobbs fan outside of his parents.

What in the world can the Browns do with Watson?

"Last days" in a historical sense, I think he'll be competing for a backup job somewhere else next season. I guess he could play more over the next few weeks. I don't know if Zappe is playable but I thought Will Grier would be the backup by now.

Edit: And apparently he was getting X-rays after the game.

So, which team is going to be unfortunate enough to bring on Belichick and his kid, and his nephew, and his dog sitter, and whoever the hell else he wants to bring on and pretend they are coaches so he can run their team into the ground while continuing with has become a relatively disgraceful attempt to get Shula’s record? I thought this was a guy who was supposed to have an ounce of respect for the game.

I think they re-work his contract every season. The "extension" was leaked at some point but the stories about it have been all over the place. I read this morning it was only re-worked through next season. I don't believe it will be roadblock to cutting him loose (or whatever they end up calling it).

Kraft and Belichick have never been close. That's a relationship that was always in danger of going south if things weren't going well on the field. I buy that Kraft wants Vrabel. Not sure I've ever seen an active NFL head coach sitting with the owner of another team at a game like Vrabel was with Kraft a few weeks ago.

Makes sense

I don't buy into it being all Brady in NE, at least the first half of his career there. But I'm not sure if the game has simply passed Belichick by or if he has simply burned himself out with the insane hours he once put in.

Hes 71 years old. Im sure its some of both of those things. The game and players have also changed and as some have said, the patriot way is dead, even with BB as coach.

The Falcons lose on a final FG. Every fan is dreaming of a Arthur Smith firing over the bye, but Blank is never going to do that.

I'm not sure the Giants are trying to win, but if they are, I'm not sure Tommy DeVito is the guy to go with under center.

Thank you football Gods, especially on that late 40 yard run for 17 yards. Have to breathe a sigh of relief there-looked like his old self, confident and believing in himself.

Yeah DeVito is a great local story for the Giants, but at this point there has to be someone they can bring in who can keep them in games.

There's been so many stinkeroos in the midweek game, we should start calling it the Turdsday game.
