No. The GOP now has a 7-6 majority. You had a lynch (Clap) and night kill (StC). We had 3 members defeated. So there are 16 remaining players but only 13 members of Congress.

There's 16 people in the game so I'd say it's 9 for a majority whereas we needed 10 on day 1 with 18 people in the game.

Yeah, but there are still 18 votes for bills and Speaker (right) and the GOP controls 10 of them. (This correct my previous post where I counted people in the game instead of voting districts) |

Yes, but look at this. There are 5 of us whose votes count twice. So there are still 18 votes out there, making the majority 10. |

Indeed. My guess is that if we didn't have a speaker during the day on day 1 when we voted for Chubby, that we won't have one during the day today. Weird. A lot of the arguing about roles was assuming we'd always get to put 3 bills out there.

Well, why'd you vote KWhit then reverse directions? And frankly, if Cronin/Clap did anything it was on their own from what I can tell. We slurried Henry or PF, i forget which. I think the lost elections has more to do with the veto and the voting block on a villager that you guys pulled off. |

jeheinz, I wish I knew what more I could say to convince you I am not a wolf.
As far as my nomination for Speaker, my party needs fuller representation in the whole of this Congress and I am the best chance they have at that. I hope the republicans will agree that having a republican President with a democratic speaker is a good thing to get things moving along toward our one and only goal - ridding this Congress of wolves. VOTE PACKERFANATIC FOR SPEAKER

GOP has a 10-8 majority in terms of bills and votes on the floor (heinz taking over henry's spot being the only change). The Dems have a 9-7 majority in terms of voting for wolves (the only changes being cronin an clap removed). |

Yeah that's due to the tone of a large chunk of people on your side. Even chesapeake admitted to the fact that you guys basically put me in a corner with the Chubby/Speaker thing and then when I responded by actually helping you out, you slurried me anyways. I'm not trying to ignore any fact that Cronin/Clap might have done something, but if they did, it was some portion of their individual politician power, nothing we as a party suggested or supported them doing. I haven't talked much to that end because it was neither caused by me nor effected me, so it doesn't make a lot of sense for me to. |

I haven't mentioned it because I've only heard it from you and Chubby. I think heinz asked what made you sure it was clap that did it. But if they did it, it wasn't something discussed by the Party. |

Frankly, this game is pissing me off so much I may just abstain from voting for the speaker. I'll let someone else pick that fight. I'll be back at 5:55, 5 minutes before i leave with what I decide to do.

alright, well, at this point I'm really pretty ticked off at Lathum for getting so angry and for his machinations yesterday, and EagleFan's vote strikes me as either really silly or a wolf stirring up conversation about the probable next speaker. Mrs. S isn't bad because the usual play with somewhat quiet, inexperienced wolves is to talk even less, from my experience.

Still catching up but you know what I find Ironic?
Heinze and Tyrith are slamming me for voting KWhit and then switching back, yet are slamming us for voting along party lines? I switched back when Chesapeake returned and changed his vote, and I left plenty of time for pass or whoever else to switch back. |

Alright, this is how it seemed to me, from someone that didn't see it in real time and caught up --
You said, hey, let's try to do something productive with this vote, and switched, and got someone else on our side -- which is mainly important because we can't know what kind of conversation you were having in the Dem thread -- to follow you. Then, without real warning or explanation, you switch back. In a normal game this isn't so bad, but in this game it hurts because vote switches hurt us. If you can lead two or three villagers astray with your ploy and they wind up lynching a villager it could seriously hurt all of them -- as happened to you. It just wasn't a really good play all around, and of course we're going to look on it with suspicion -- and I still do. |

i think I explained but yet again... I didn't like KWhits vote and was playing the Wolf game, not politics. Both KWhit and chesapeaks votes stunk to me, so I went after KWhit, when chesapeak returned I saw a chance to save my party member and took it. My party mates will also testify I was getting ALOT of preassure to switch back, so once the oppritunity was there I took it. |

Another thing, if we think the wolves are split 2-2 between parties ( which both parties have claimed they believe) we should be voting for a republican for lynch. It gives us a 7-2 chance of finding a wolf instead of a 9-2 chance.

First time for everything, buddy. And you do seem pretty flustered, wolf or not.
There are other concerns for me, right now, too. I don't want to lynch Mrs. S because it will give someone three districts. EagleFan has some of that same potential, as his district could fall to PF. Leaving us with...what? KWhit? Same problem. Now, if someone can give me something harder I will go ahead and vote in one of these directions. However, I feel that it's important to see a debate through, because inconclusive issues don't give information, one way or another. If you get lynched and turn up good, I'm probably dead. I might just have to accept that risk. What's the next best alternative? |
