Beautiful! Probably alot easier to be laid back when you are up 2-0 and 3-1, then 3-2 coming off a 3OT loss and going on the road.

Part of me wants him in Ottawa with Murray.

I'd love for Tort to tell Murray to shut his yap!

This also beautiful, from MA Fleury-

Quote:
Al Sobotka, the buildings operation manager and Zamboni driver at Joe Louis Arena, has gotten considerable attention over the years for picking up octopuses that fans there throw on the ice, then twirling them over his head.
Indeed, the league has mandated that he no longer do it on the ice, because the debris that flies off the octopus as it is spun can spray onto not only the playing surface, but also onto players who aren't a safe distance away.
Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury decided to be proactive about protecting himself before Game 5, so when Sobotka began to twirl an octopus in the Zamboni entrance, Fleury did a little spraying of his own, turning his water bottle on Sobotka.
After volunteering yesterday that "I just missed my mouth by a little bit," Fleury acknowledged his actions.
"After the first two games, I thought I'd give him a little something back," he said. "And we won, so it's good."

This has been a very slow paced game. You can see each team is being very tenative through the zone, which is hurting Detroit right now even with their stellar D. They have to keep control of the puck and get some shots.

The Pens have to slow this game down. Gonchar cant handle the puck too well and they just look beat up. Now if Sid is hurt, it is time for the Wings to jump on the Pens.

Sid got rocked by Stuart, that was impressive because Crosby is like Gretzky, his back never to the play, he's always looking at the puck, keeping himself protected and in a position to make plays.

Fleury should've had that one.

And even though they are older...the Wings look fresher.

Wow. WEAK goal by Fleury. Should've never kicked a rebound out that big, and then to give up the five hole with the angle totally shutdown, just not good.

Detroit has clinched their last six series on the road, right now the Pens moreso then the Wings are helping them make this seven. Still plenty of game left but Pittsburgh HAS to pick it up, they look so sluggish.

Wow. Talk about an incredible bounce for the Wings. That puck shot out behind Fleury when he landed on it.

I know this is off topic, but doesn't Kevin Lowe salivate looking at the potential RFA's Pittsburgh could have. He is going to poison pill this team to death lol.

Pittsburgh is going to have some tough decisions to make. They all talk about how good and young the are, but they can't keep everyone.

A great series. Hopefully this gives the NHL the boost it needs. They just need to get rid of Bettman.

Amazing series. Pittsburgh proved me wrong and showed amazing heart after game two. Now my guess for Conn Smythe is Zetterberg.

The Pens fans shouldn't boo Bettman. If not for him they would be out of Pittsburgh. He wouldn't sign the papers to let Basillie buy the team and move them.

Basillie seems intent on getting a team. Nashville, Pittsburgh, Buffalo (he asked).
He needs to give up on the dream of a Hamilton-base team. No way Toronto and Buffalo will let him in.

Wouldn't have counted anyway as the clock was at zero as Hossa got his stick to it. Can you imagine the tension had the thing gone in and thus caused it to be reviewed? Would such a review have ever had so much riding on it?

Yeah I agree. Even the Wings players didn't celebrate right away because they didn't knwo what the heck was going on.

It's okay. It seems like most Leafs fans would be fine with going 0-82 to get Tavares.

Not saying that's you ML, but most I run into.

It's not me. The Leafs need a rebuild desperately, but I'm firmly on the anti-tank bandwagon.

That said, I think most Leaf fans just expect to go 0-82 next year anyways, so they figure they might as well get excited about Taveres.
