I agree with this. I think this happiness list is a brilliant game mechanic and one I might "borrow" in some form in the future.

It was fun and I am glad I saw it, but I don't think it packed the same depth of say Dark Knight or the Matrix or even reached the heights of Avatar.

This was really hard. I don't have a really good feel about anyone. Since we haven't identified a wolf yet, we can't even really tell much of anything from our voting history, so this is a shot in the dark.

Happy List:
GoldenEagle
Barkeep49
Narcizo
Bhlloy

Maybe on every scan he got the answer, "X is not a wolf, because there aren't any. sssh don't tell anyone"

Seriously, I think there's got to be wolves. We've got a seer, we've got night-kills, we've got CF making a post as soon as these theories started, saying that we should maybe do something about these killings. It's pretty clear, and it's getting to the point where I'm honestly suspicious of people proposing we "not play" which to me means letting the wolves just picks us off.

I was never proposing we not play.. i was trying to theorize alternate explainations to this game..

Here's another one i though of last night...

we started with 21ish people(almost all of who are testers), with roles being gradually introduced. What if one of us was really Glados(thusly being the only wolf).

I don't have much of a read on mckerney, but you seem pretty sure of yourself. Can you run down the story for me?

This is one drawback of today's voting, I think -- we have an idea who everyone trusts, but not who they suspect.

Going on a tangent, it makes me curious as to whether the lynch would be different traditionally, compared to this way.

Great work with the voting rundown Brit. And that's not just my ego talking. Of course it's probably a death sentence for Barkeep or me but what can you do?

Something has been bothering me about this though and that's the fact that this voting thing is ridiculously easy for the wolves to manipulate to make sure a villager gets lynched. But honestly I can't see a way around that other than being extra vigilant. And it's not going to be me being vigilant as I'm off soon.

I just feel like mckerneys post history is suspicious. Maybe I am reading too much into it, but not much has been said though. I just feel like he is sitting back, picking us off and enjoying the relative anonymity of his position at the current time.

Can you give me some examples of what things you're reading into, in his posts? Everyone "seems suspicious" to me, and from reading other people's commentary on their own votes, I'm not alone.

I agree that I've given mckerney a pass because he was an alternate who filled in, and I think it's crappy to vote him out a day or two after he took the time to get caught up. But we don't have the luxury of giving out passes anymore, so if you've got some strong suspicions of him, I'd like to hear them.

Granted, even if you convince me, the way voting works today doesn't give me a whole lot of ammo to help -- all I can do is not put him in my Top 5.

Yeah, really right now it doesn't seem to be a viable option since it probably won't affect an outcome today. I just see myself going down and wonder what I might have done that makes people believe I'm possibly a wolf. I've had a pretty steady list since about day 4 I think, once things started becoming a little more clear. My voting clearly reflects that, and I was wrong about Autumn. A lot of us were wrong about Autumn. I feel like folks are getting bamboozled pretty well if there are indeed wolves among us.

I don't know, just every time I look over mckerney's post history I see the bare minimum. Very little information is being given, just some short remarks here and there.. I feel like he is sort of playing dumb and is probably very amused at the volume of those who think he is not a wolf.

I'm pretty confused about most other people, but he seems to be the most likely guy in my opinion. I'm not entirely sure what to think at this point. I want to press a button or get the opportunity to press a button or use a cube or shoot my portal gun, but I am not aware of what I need to do or what permission I might need to acquire in order to do that. I'm not sure if there are even wolves in here. I'm not sure exactly what we're truly shooting for in this game yet. While the intrigue is fun, the general feeling of being totally unsure makes me feel like this is more of a crapshoot than these games might typically be.

I mean this is my first rodeo, though, so I don't have that experience to draw upon.

So after most of us have voted, Julio and britrock are at the bottom. I'm ok with that, but I do kind of get the feeling that Julio's getting the shaft because he's new. However, I don't have any sort of feeling for him one way or the other so perhaps a shot out of the blue is what we need. As far as britrock, with the continued harping of 5 wolves being in the game, I think he's earned his spot near the bottom.

But we have to remember this is essentially a reverse lynch, so there still should be some sort of team decision making going in to this. If anyone has strong feelings about a certain person being a wolf they should speak their piece now. Since I'm near the bottom, I realize I don't exactly have the most sway here, but some of the people who have accumulated a lot of votes should prove they have the town's best interests in mind and help get a wolf.

You, yes you, have unleashed the Aperture Science Orange Portal Device.

3576110907_b8d4b8cb9a (250x188).jpg

This is the top of the line Portal Device and is our best product other than the Blue Portal Device. It really is an improvement I think. It is a Portal Device...but in Stereophonic Orange. You can do all sorts of orange things with it.

Updated list:

(waiting on Barkeep's list)

I will say this. My statement about 5 wolves was a simple assumption from having read discussion in other WW games. Because I'm new, I have no way of knowing whether I would even be aware of how many wolves are in the game if I were a wolf. At this point, we don't even know that there are wolves in the game.

I am also leery of this manner of voting. It makes lynching of the last-place participant less direct, which seems to mitigate its usefulness in pointing out any bad eggs. What could happen other than what CF has told us? I don't know. But the more I think about it, the more I buy into the ideas that we're fighting Gladdy together. In that case, we need to figure out what comes of the button pressing. Do people get portal devices? We've seen the heel shock absorbers on one of the fallen already. I wouldn't be surprised to find that button pressers get equipment that becomes necessary to beat GLaDOS in the endgame.
