Hey - you repubs:
Was there anything in your writeup this morning on popularity or power to suggest who we have been sending slurries to? |

Really Path? Just to lay it out there, I essentially felt like a red-headed step-child from your party on Day One (not really you though). Just completely condescended to. I don't think our party has taken that same tact, but hey I could have blinders on. |

I think you've been accurate. There was no concerted effort that I saw (I was really in and out yesterday) -- clap voted for our party leader and so got my vote in return. I don't even think I checked in our party thread before making my vote.

Yep, sure do. And thanks by the way. Way to do a real solid for the person who crossed party lines and handed you guys the Speaker position. Really motivates me to do that again today. |

I don't think we harbor any realistic expectations of retaining the Speakership -- especially since we are in the minority. I think the only way we would expect a crossover vote is if there were grounds for you to conclude that your candidate were a wolf. I am making no allegation of this whatsoever. The only complaint I have about PB is that he doesn't appear much in the main thread. |

Yeah, really. I think you got extra pressure because of being the most centrist but I got nothing but an obstructionist/condescending vibe from your side day 1 which certainly factored in my reaction to clap's vote for KWhit. It'll be interesting to read this back after the game...... I'm more than willing to think that I might have blinders on also......

Yes, votes on the President also count politically, with the impact determimed by whether or not he’s a Wolf. So there’s risk in that vote. That said, it only counts when the President is out of the game—and it’s hard to remove a President from the game. You only get dinged on a bad Wolf vote if it’s publically known that that person is good, and the only way to know that for sure is by him dying/leaving the game. So it’s a risk, but not necessarily one people will feel the impact of for a while, if ever. Copied directly from CR's email |

I actually forgot about PB for much of this game so far. Unfortunately the double thread thing seems to be keeping him mostly out of this thread. He is not pinging my wolf radar but it could be because he just isn't posting here.
vote PB wolf Making that vote just to get a candidate out there and to see what shakes up. It could and probably will change as I have a couple other suspects who are far above him on my suspect list. |

Strange vote EF.
For one, do you think the rest of us repubs would think it to be a good idea to nominate for Speaker someone who we even slightly thought was a wolf? I mean hell, I'd log on from home at midnight to be Speaker before I did that. |

Trying to get some wolf conversation going. We seem to be focussing too much on the political and getting roles and not enough on who may be a wolf. |

dola: The wolves would want us to only speak politics as it keeps the heat off them. We need to think about protecting ourselves as a whole and not just our own political agendas.

The Democratic Party was taught a painful -- but valuable -- lesson in the elections last season. We discovered that we must return to the core ideals that made us democrats if we are to regain electoral relevancy.
One man in our party stood tall last season -- stood up for Americans everywhere -- and fought hard in the campaign so that good people can have good jobs at good wages. It is my pleasure to submit for consideration to this chamber that man to be the Speaker. VOTE PACKERFAN FOR SPEAKER |

I get that EF, but it's just illogical. I mean yeah, PB could be a wolf, though from my POV he's done nothing here or in the Rep thread to make me think so yet.
I just don't see why you'd pick someone who has essentially been given the statement by a group of people who would be at least mostly comprised of villagers as good. |

Yeah, I can't see where wolf-wise PF being speaker is a good idea. I was even thinking about doing the Dems a solid again until you unveiled him as the plan.

I'm having a hard time coming to grips with the similar predicament that I was talking about in EF's vote for PB. I personally think PF rates pretty high on my Dem-Wolf Radar. Though I'm conflicted with that you folks would actually put him up for speaker. |

I know, and that's what I am wrestling with. I was prepared again today to be bi-partisan. Even against the wishes of my party. But I don't get a good vibe on PF, but that is conflicted by your actual putting forth of him as your speaker candidate. Not sure how I'll decide. |

I had postd in the dem thread earlier that that's where my vote was going. Now that I see that a member of her own party is voting that way, I'm certainly on board. That's who I originally voted for yesterday, and I do suspect her a bit.

Since there is currently no Speaker, is there any way the village can get a Speaker's bill today? If one candidate gets to the seven vote majority, can we just declare him Speaker and allow him to propose a bill?
