While Google chose to feature a devout follower of Christ who has been hailed as a model for Catholics while Bing opts to insult Christians and promotes a symbol of pagan fertility celebrations.

Well the job search saga continues. Last month I had an interview at my former employer (TWC) for a supervisor position in another department. I interviewed with the hiring manager and then with his director. I thought it went great. In fact they are both people I know from the company and that I have worked with as a peer at some point or another. Three weeks went by and no word (even though I was promised I would be called regardless of the outcome). I email my recruiter for the position and she tells me they haven't made a decision and that she thinks the position is on a temporary hold (it's not a customer facing position, those typically get held up).
In the mean time I've been applying for other positions at TWC and outside of TWC. I get contacted by a different recruiter for another supervisor position in different function under the same department I put my name in for. The recruiter tells me that they want to interview me and he just has a couple questions. I come to find out that this position is also under the same manager and he wants me to come in and interview. According to the recruiter for this position I will only be interviewing with him and not the director and he will be making a decision within a week of the interview. I think this is positive news. Any of the hiring managers around here have any thoughts? I've worked with this guy before, heck most of the first interview with him was just talking and seeing how things were going and what I've been up to. |

I know someone has probably made the comparison, but Arby's sauce and Horsey sauce are like a 2 part sandwich bliss epoxy. Either one on the sandwich, meh. Combined they join forces like voltron.

I will never purchase another GE product again if I can help it.
Our 4 month old dishwasher broke, causing water to spill out all over the kitchen floor in our newly built house. Called our builder who arranged for GE service to come out. Service came and left yesterday, wife turns dishwasher on, water everywhere again. Calls service and tells them about it and they tell her they can't get someone out until Monday. Wife informs them unacceptable and the tech needs to turn around and return, nope, they say can't do it. Wife has to go back to work. So now she has to take another day off work, and is also 8 months pregnant, so the water stood until I got home. Dreadful customer service, they should have had the tech turn right around and come back to my house. |

Get Start8, it will make everything better. Stardock also put out a program that lets you run Modern apps in a Window. Though i can't say there's anything I'm the Windows 8 store I've been interested in other than Skulls of the Shogun (which not having a windowed mode was kind of a deal breaker for), but I'm just going to wait until that comes to Steam. |

This is me. It takes time to get retrain yourself. I don't use the start page much at all, but it has tremendous potential.

Well, I use Windows Phone 8, I am used to the UI, but I guess it's part of me learning how to use it with a mouse or getting to where I need to and with the new machine I have now, it's just going to take me a little longer to get used to it.

I actually kind of like 8, now that I've gotten in the habit of pinning my most used programs on the taskbar. I just stay in desktop mod; the apps do nothing for me.

There's a FB group devoted to alumni of my high school who have passed. I can barely stand to read it - not because of the personal tragedies, but because of the grammatical ones. I swear these people are barely literate.

Ah thanks - I was thinking of Groundhog's. Was wondering if he or one of his buds wrote in to this week's KSK Sex & Fantasy Football Mailbag.
(should have figured Groundhog, but brain couldn't come up with the list of our Aussie contingent )

It took me like 6 different articles to figure out how the dude from Buckwild Shain something died. I give it an 8/10 on the redneck death scale, not quite look ma no hands.

ESPN's ticker reads something like: "Former Ravens LB Brendon Ayenbadejo tells ESPN that at least 4 current NFL players are considering coming out as gay."
Doesn't that seem like a non story in 2013? In reality, there's probably 100. |

I think it's still a story since there hasn't been an active player in the NFL to come out yet. After the first and maybe the few who immediately follow I doubt it will really be one though. |

Found out a cousin died. Didn't really know her & she lived in a group home (she was mentally retarded.) A woman in a group home dying isn't anything to make note of really, until I heard how... She slipped & fell. Landed on an oddly shaped planter and was impaled. Didn't die immediately, but from complications due to fluid buildup thanks to the the planter going through a lung. Damn.

Do we have any mortgage experts in the house? I have a 30 year FHA loan that I put down just under 10% on, I want to know if the changes going in June 1st mean I will be paying MPI for the life of the loan or if I'm still good once I get 22% down and 5 years.
Getting a shit ton of spam that is obviously trying to scare me into refinancing ASAP but also looking online I'm unable to get a clear answer. |

This pains me to say.
I've never been one of those people to be overly dependent on my phone. I checked email, texts, even FOFC fairly regularly, but mostly out of boredom, not necessity. Thing morning my Galaxy SII bit the dust, only 8 months old, so it's covered under the warranty still. But, now I'm without a phone...and I feel helpless! Can't find my old Galaxy...best I have right now is my mom's previous flip phone.

I'm less concerned about the rates, and I'm more concerned about having to pay the MIP over the lifetime of the loan rather than just for the first 5 years. I've scoured that particular site and haven't got a good answer. FTR, our loan is from August 2011 |

Heard sirens as I was sitting down for dinner about an hour and a half ago. Didn't think anything of it. Neighbor lady knocks on the door about fifteen minutes ago saying they found the body of a child in the creek at the end of our road. So sad.

So I had a couple of thoughts...
1) Anyone else as intrigued as I am about the red head on the Wendy's commercial...I am thinking her in a black cat suit.. 2) Just finished reading The Forever War and found out Ridley Scott is going to direct a movie on it.
